I must have bought a lemon
I don't know if my problem was typical or not, but I had an Axis 9 for less than a year before the display began to glitch and the player started taking longer and longer to cue.Before long, it stopped playing altogether.Mind you, it never left the bedroom - it wasn't dropped, shipped, or otherwise mistreated.I took it for repair at a reputable shop and was told it wasn't repairable.Bam - out 400 bucks.

Given the low price and loaded features, the Axis 9 has probably the highest value of any cd turntable currently on the market. It has solid performance with plenty of gadgets to keep you occupied.One problem which makes this turntable not suitable for professional use is the slight stutter when the key lock is in place. It's Fun, No more, No less
This is a crossover. That means that while it isn't a Technics turntable, it isn't a raging ghetto blaster either. I'm new to te whole mixing thing, and I find it straightforward and easy to use, so I recommend it to anyone who wants to pretend they're Pete Rock. However, it won't get you any where if you're serious about DJing. It isn't very loud, but you can plug it in to larger speakers. This Boombox is a good gift idea for a teenager that likes music. It's fun, and that's about it. My only real problem with it is that the right player skips, so we'll see if I can sort that out. ... Read more

Bang for the buck!
This turntable is probably the best choice for anyone out there. It's got the best of both worlds. It has all the important features of the flagship CDJ-1000 without the big price tag. Great feel, response, features, quality, durability. I love it!!! I've tried many others, like DENON S3500, 5000, Numark, American Audio, and none has the feel an functionality of this one except for the CDJ-1000.
