2-0 out of 5 stars After Six Months: Persistent Complaint
I have had this phone for over six months and I agree with much positive that has been said. The sound that I hear when others speak if very strong, but over time I have had to change phones (to a non-cordless) countless times when people have said they could not hear me or that I should "speak up."When I do change phones, the response is that it is "much better!"I know that cordless and corded have different technologies, but one should not need to shout into a phone, ever. There are several settings on this Panasonic that make what I hear crisp, boosted, "improved," but nothing to help others hear me (I speak to groups every day for my work and my voice is good).I am actually in the market for a replacement set of phones---and would greatly appreciate someone telling me of any cordless, Panasonic or other, that transmits a voice loud and clear.

5-0 out of 5 stars Terrific phone, terrific features, terrific value
This phone does pretty much everything I'd need.Positive surprises is that the handsets have speakerphones built in, and the handsets can all access the anwering machine.I've had pretty bad luck with reception with other wirelesses in my house, the only phone that worked OK was the expensive and finicky engenius brand. This Pana works great and the 3-handset system costs less than any of the single handset versions I've had in the past. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars For 79 Bucks this phone is awesome.
I've seen the biggest complaints by the negative reviewers are lack of extra features. Well, considering that the phones that have those features are up to 3 times more expensive but that this phone gives you all the quality and a lot of other great features, I can live with it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely wonderful phone
In past I have used a variety of cordless phones. But, I always had an issue with the life of the phone. None of the phones lasted me for more than 1 year and few months. Last time I bought a Panasonic phone. I'm extensively using this phone for over 3 years and no degradation in performance. No stuck keys, no faded voice and not even the weakened battery or non responsive battery contacts (which is a problem with most of the rechargable cordless phones). Best of all is the speaker phone on the handset. This made me fan of Panasonic. This is phone is still working beautifully after 3 years of extensive use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Just confirming previous reviews
Like anybody these days, we have plowed through the gamut of corded and wireless phones. I put a little time into research before I bought this Panasonic phone and it was worth it; the unit is a winner and satisfies it just about all respects. It is easy to use and set up and has performed well. I especially like being able to set up a phone book on one handset and beam it to all the other handsets. The intercom feature also gets a lot of use since we have three floors to cover. I have also made use of the custom ringtones (and even the color of the flashing LED on the antennae) so I know when I don't want to pick up the phone (i.e. when the in-laws call). There is even a speakerphone. The handset is solid and feels good in your hand. The voice quality is good - not as good as a corded phone but much better than the other wireless phones I have tried. In addition, the 5.8 GHz frequency does not interfere with our wireless computer network.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone Tons of features
I purchased this phone system as a gift. I set it up and used it extensively. The handsets have features that you are used to finding in a cell phone. Many different ring tones to choose from, the antenna lights up when a call comes in. You can even set special colors and ring tones for specific callers so you'll know when they're calling without picking up the handset.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellant Answering Machine/Phones
I received my answering machine/phone two weeks ago. I had a Uniden which was awful after several months use. My calls no longer break up or fade as they did with the Uniden. The answering machine is simple to use and the functions are very easy to see. The calls are crystal clear and I am very satisfied. My parents bought one based on my recommendation and they love it. Now my sister will purchase one. I do not need the phone to light up as some customers have complained it does not. The overall quality is more important to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone.Great speakerphone.Talked for five hours on one handset.
I work at home, and attend lots of conference calls.I was on a conference call recently for five hours on one handset, and the battery meter only lost one bar (of three).(I used a headset the whole time, the handset was only a few inches from the base unit, and the whole thing is only two weeks old, so all of these may've contributed to the long talk time / low battery use.But regardless, that's pretty good.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Cordless phone for the money!
I have had 5 other cordless phones over the years and this one is by far the best. I have not experienced any problems with interference (the range is excellent - even two floors down in the basement!), sound quality is very good, and the system is easy to use and expand (I have 4 extensions).
5-0 out of 5 stars The best cordless phone I've ever owned ...
I normally am a "Review Lurker" - meaning I read them when I'm looking to purchase, but rarely if ever write them.So when began looking for a new cordless home phone, I started hitting the reviews.I've owned Uniden phones before, so maybe I was a little biased, but I've tried many other brands that various friends have owned and found them lacking. So, I finally settled on the Uniden TRU9485-2.Not only is this the best cordless phone I've ever owned, it's so good that I felt compelled to write a review.

4-0 out of 5 stars I really like this phone!
I've had this phone for a few weeks and really like it.It has a lot of features, is easy to program and figure out, and the sound quality is quite good.I wanted a separate key pad on the base, but I didn't need a land-line phone attached to it - so the universe I was looking at was somewhat reduced. I bought and returned a GE-25841GE3, which had bad sound quality. I have no complaints about this phone at all. I'm rating it 4 rather than 5 only because I don't use Caller ID, and it appears from other reviews that there may be some issues there. Otherwise, I think this phone rocks!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phone, but beware of *incorrect* TRU9460 recommendation
The phone is great in many ways as noted by previous reviewers.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not blue but green...
In the product desciption it states that the antenna lights up in three colors: blue, amber and red, or multicolor, but in reality its not blue, but green. (Happen to love blue, so that's the reason of the review.)

2-0 out of 5 stars Microphone stopped working after 1 year in use
Very dissappointed with this unit. We liked it features and the sound quality. However we have been using it for just over the year and the microphone just stopped working. I would have expected a higher quality product from Panasonic!

3-0 out of 5 stars seemed like a good idea
I am hearing impared and us a headphone..i was having a harder and harder time hear with my old headphone so I thought I' get a new headphone AND new phone....I teste the headphone with my old panasonic Kx-tc1457band with the volume control it was plenty of volume for me to hear better....then I hooked up the kx-tg5621s with high hopes because I liked the look and feel and features, unfortunatlywith the headphone volume all the way up, the volume on the phone all the way up and with or without the voice enhancer I couldn't hear very well...it's very clear but not enough volume....for those who arent impaired, you can imagine how deaf I am...any way I tested it for a couple of days thinking I need to get used to the noise canceling, etc.....but problem is if the voice on the other end isn't loud enough...I'm out of options.....I went back to the old 900 mhz with three volume settings on the phone and volume control on the headset..and can hear now with volume to spare...

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Cordless Phone System
This is the best phone I have ever had!The best part of this 5.4 GHz phone, other than the quality of voice without interruption through 2.4 GHz LAN network or microwave, is that it can mute ringer sound but you know you are recieving call by flushing light from the antenna. This is great if you have babies(no more awake by annoying ringer sound while they are taking a nap). All the necessary functions are included (answering machine, caller ID, storing telephone numbers, and etc.I highly recommend this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Review of Cordless Phones with Answering Systems
I have been very happy with this phone system. It is so much better than what I had and it actually keeps a charge for a while.I only wish the answering machine would beep when you had a message because that is what I was used to before.Overall, this has been a great system so far.

3-0 out of 5 stars Bye bye Uniden- Hello Panasonic
I really didn't want to return this phone.I loved the idea of a corded base phone with a huge called ID display, and a satellite 5.8 ghz cordless. And the sound was excellent, both on the answering machine and the cordless. So whats not to love?
4-0 out of 5 stars Cordless Phone System
We needed to replace a telephone and answering system, due to age of the old system. The Uniden system has proven to be a very suitable replacement. The instructions are very complete and understandable. The ringer is distinctive and quite loud. Sound quality is quite good. The only drawback is the delay between pressing a number key and the tone associated with it. Overall, we are very pleased with the phone system.

5-0 out of 5 stars great phone
I bought this to replace a horrible GE cordless phone system. Crystal clear reception, the people I talk to have no problems hearing me either. The only have two complaints I have is that the voice mail memory doesn't store enough digits to put my password in. However, the normal memory entried for my call directory does have enough. Strange, but no biggie. I love the ability to copy the memory over to the expansion sets I bought. However, the special rings for memory entries do not copy. Again, no big deal it would just be nice. Completely happy with this phone and I highly recommend it to others.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent phone
Best phone I've ever had. Good clear signal everywhere in the house. Lots of nice features. Up to 100 memory locations for storing frequently called numbers (I only need 20). Programmable ringtones so you know who is calling as soon as you hear the ring.

1-0 out of 5 stars BUZZ makes 2-line feature completely unusable
This phone has some really fantastic features. As a 1 line phone I highly recommend it. If you add the 2nd line, you CANNOT use both lines. As soon as the 2nd call comes in, the 1st call line is filled with loud buzz and the caller is inaudible.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good phone, but headset needs frequent replacement
I've had this phone for about 2 years, and it's worked well. My only complaints:
3-0 out of 5 stars Plantronics Cordless Headset Phone
The sound quality is hissy, and wavy. When we pull the headset off the receiver and plug it into a different phone, the sound quality is better. So the headphones/microphone assembly is top notch. The tiny little receiver unit isn't as good as others. However, for a person with limited use of the hands, the small receiver unit is easier to hold and dial.

    Editorial Review

This Panasonic cordless handset expands the flexibility of your existing Panasonic 5600-series base system. The handset operates on the 5.8 GHz bandwidth, and utilizes frequency-hopping spread spectrum transmission you’re your calls are secure and free of interference. While the precise features vary depending on what's built in to your base system, the handset includes a backlit LCD screen for access to Call Waiting Caller ID (with subscription to local service) and a permanent-memory phone book, as well as a backlit keypad, so you can dial easily under any lighting conditions. A headset jack is built in, as is a digital speakerphone. If your base system includes an answering machine, you'll be able to access it from this handset. It will also function as a two-way intercom with all other handsets in the system.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to integrate... but check compatibility.
Bought this to add a 4th handset to my KX-TG5633. Initially, after reading the technical specs for the 5633 at the Panasonic website, I wasn't certain that the 560 would work with my system; the Pana website says "Multi Handset Compatability: up to 3 handsets". "Did the 3 include the base handset too," I wondered? Yet the amazon info for the 5633 suggested that it could take 4 handsets. After digging out and consulting the 5633's manual, I was satisfied that I could take a 4th handset and ordered.

Phones work just like they are supposed to. My wife wishes they came with clips so you could carry them around the house or yard while doing other things. Overall a good value.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good and very versatile cordless phone
I recently purchased this versatile cordless phone system and am very pleased with it. All of the features are convenient and work well and the voice quality is very good. The four handsets may at first seem excessive, but actually they provide convenient access to a phone no matter where one is in one's house. For example, I now have enough handsets to add them to the kitchen and main bathroom, which can be quite handy at times. Also convenient is the fact that only the main unit requires a phone outlet -- the three extension units requires only power outlets for their chargers. Another feature I like is that each handset can store up to 50 names and phone numbers. And, once programmed in one handset, entries can easily be tranferred to the other handsets if desired. Another convenient feature is that the system can be used as an intercom, with each handset capable of calling each of the other handsets. This is the most complete and most convenient phone system I've ever had and I like the quality and reliability of Panasonic products. If you want the features of this versatile phone system with fewer handsets please consider model KX-TG5633 which has two extension units or KX-TG5632 which has only one extension unit. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Well-designed phone for the visually/hearing impaired
The phone was easy to set up, with an adjustable ringer and speaker volume control. The flashing red light on top of the phone leaves no doubt when there is an incoming call. Instead of having it on the table, we have it mounted on a slanted platform in the kitchen.
