1-0 out of 5 stars Speakerphone does not work
I bought this phone brand new. Unless your mouth is within a foot of the mic, the other party will not be able to hear you while you are on speakerphone.

1-0 out of 5 stars worst phone ever! buyer beware
I took back the first model of this to the store because if the phone was moved at all when the speaker was on, then it would hang up. But at least people could hear you.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good phone - short battery life
Overall, a good phone. Low cost. Well built. Many features.Speaker works OK for the price.Features such as caller ID and the speaker phone are powered by batteries. As stated by another reviewer a set of batteries only lasts a few months, even if you do not use the battery-powered speaker phone often. This phone would be a great phone (for the price) if it did not use batteries, but was a plug-in model. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Doesn't last long
I have had several of these units in the past couple of years. When they work, they work great. However, they fail frequently, often after only a few months of use.I have never had one last much over a year. Many of the problems are the same as some other reviewers have mentioned - unit says low batteries, but a change of battery either doesn't help or only for a short while; hard to change batteries; etc.My current problem is the call waiting function has stopped working, although the caller id for the first call is ok.Unfortunately, I cannot find another model that features the call waiting function.

1-0 out of 5 stars a worthless piece of junk
This is a worthless piece of junk. The three batteries are not held tightly enough in place; they constantly slip away from the coiled spring connectors, and then the unit stops functioning. I've tried everything imaginable to correct this problem but nothing works. It's amazing how a major corporation can spend millions of dollars hiring design "experts" who are so lacking in imagination andbasic engineering skills.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good little unit for the price
We've had this for a couple of months, and so far it's done exactly what it needs to do.Only two things about it are less than perfect: 1) it's hard to see the caller information in low light, and 2) if there are new calls, a little red light continues to blink until you clear them all out.Overall, though, it's doing exactly what we bought it to do, and is a good value for the price. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Decent Combo Phone System for the Money
I bought mine at the local discount warehouse for around $[...] with a rebate. The package included the corded base and 3 handsets.I've looked into a lot of different phones and read almost every review. When that wasn't enough, I went to the manufacturers' websites and read the manuals.I was looking for a 5.8 GHz with the same features as my old Siemens 2420 2.4GHz and this phone is closest I could come to matching it.The features are current with the exception of two:
4-0 out of 5 stars Perhaps the best of its kind -- at this price
I feel I owe readers this assessment, given how much wasted energy went into trying to find a suitable digital answering machine w/caller ID at a price under $80.I'm very happy with this machine and feel it has only a few flaws.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT PHONE SYSTEM
I would have rated 4 1/2 stars, just for the minor Cons below, but couldn't, so rated the full 5. Can't attest to the interference with a wireless network, because I'm not there yet but....

    2-0 out of 5 stars A disappointment
I purchased two of these phones based upon the previous customer reviews. I was looking for a phone with at least above average sound quality. Other customer reviews gave me the impression that this phone would satisfy these requirements. My previous phone sounded signifiantly better and it was about 1/2 the price. Most people would find the sound quality alright, but if you are looking for above average sound quality you will not find it in this phone.I'm quite disappointed. The rest of the phone's features are fine - no complaints except for the primary reason why I purchased this phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great phone for the money
Great phone. The only thing I don't like is that you have to use 3, AAA batteries in order to activate the speakerphone without picking up the receiver. Without the batteries, I have to lift the receiver, press the SP button, then put the receiver down. Bummer. It would have been great if they'd added a power feature.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent basic phone
I found this to be an excellent phone with all the necessary features that I wanted. I was tired of the small, heavy, one-piece phones with marginal sound quality. This has very clear sound and when called at work I can tell the outgoing quality is just as good. I am not a speaker phone person so no comment on that. The memory feature is easy to use and convenient but common to most phones. Pay a little more for this higher quality phone and you'll like it. $20 dollar phones just won't give you this clarity. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars BASIC phone
I guess for $15.00, you should not expect too much. The phone's display is only readable at the max setting. The ringer is annoying. The main problem with the phone is that all the cables are hard wired. The curly handset cord is extremely short and cannot be replaced. The cord to plug into the jack is about 15' too long for wall mounting. Again this cord is hardwired so you have to wind it up under the phone. You may want to spring for a $20 phone instead of this one. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Phone!
I got to agree with the other reviewers. This is one of the best phones I ever had for my kitchen-the extra large LIGHTED caller id feature was the selling point for me. It does require you to plug it in, but you don't have to worry about batteries leaking or running out. The speaker part has adjustable volume, and the caller id itself has contrast adjustments, it lists how long you have been on the phone while you are on that call, and one of the best parts is, if you get multiple calls from the same phone number, it will list each call and time INDIVIDUALLY, not overlap them. Thinking about putting one in the bedroom so when someone calls at night you can see who it is without turning on the light. The only drawback is the phone doesn't sit in the cradle snuggly, so you will have to be a little more careful when you hang up. GREAT PHONE!

1-0 out of 5 stars OK except.....
I like the phone except for one REALLY BAD problem. The handset does not fit properly on the phone, it is too easy to incorrectly place the phone on hook (you think it is on hook, but it isn't).I have had the phone a couple of months, and this problem has rendered my phone line dead (no dial tone) about 10 times now. When my other phones don't work, I have to go put the handset of this phone back on properly.Never had this problem with any other phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Desk Phone
This one has everything.Super large LIGHTED caller ID,volume control for handset, power adapter for the caller id, many many extras.Im usually sucked in by the 10.00 phones and they always end upin the garbage. I thoughtI would try this one.I almost didnt because of the 29.00 price but it is well worth it.This is not a cheap phone. Its even angled perfect for the desk. The speakerphone sounds great as well.I love it and will probably buy another for the other desk in the house. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Item was the wrong color
Item was advertised as white, but it was really grey. As a result we had to return item and assume the cost of mailing it back.

5-0 out of 5 stars Finally, something that works as advertised!
A mild surprise but very happy that an item actually works as advertised.Got this for my parents who have hearing disabilities and needed an alternative to those "hearing impaired" ultra-loud phones.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very happy so far...
I bought this as an auxillary phone. We've got an answering machine and a fax machine, but I needed an additional phone to be by the computer in my downstairs office and I wanted a speakerphone so when I was telecommuting I could call into meetings and listen to them without holding a receiver up to my ear.

4-0 out of 5 stars 7 new speaker phones
At first, I was unable to conference from room to room, one of the features that I had chosen the phone and spent extra money for and it turned out that the problem had a simple solution, reversing the plugs in the phone jacks. Changing the plug to jack arrangement also got the lines ringing in the proper order (line 1 appearing as line 1). I hope that this tip is helpful to another user. The hold button has a low visibility profile and when I first went to put a call on hold, I was searching frantically and I am tempted to paint that button a bright color. I still can't figure out what the phone means when it tells me that I have 35 (etc.) new calls. I set the phone to roll over to an answering service when I leave the office and I am uneasy that I should be doing something about these new calls. I think that my unease will dissipate over time, but now, I feel like the phone has the upper hand!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Options for Small Business or Large Home
I'm shopped around for a good phone system for a few months until I landed on this unit.
5-0 out of 5 stars It's great when they get it right!
I've been looking for a high-quality multi-line office phone for several months, and have had a few bad experiences. It seemed that I got what I paid for, which was low-price, low-quality, and I just couldn't find a good solution for less than several hundred (or thousand)dollars. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent basic phone
This is a great phone. Memory is easy to progam. The phone has 3 memory keys for emergenies and 9 additional memory keys for personal numbers. It can be used on a desk or hung on the wall. The only thing I don't like about the phone is the buttons on the handset. However, I knew about this feature before purchasing the phone. I would recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for a good basic phone.

5-0 out of 5 stars calling home... good phone!
What you have here is a quality, reliable phone. While it's not like the updated models you see today, it serves its purpose, and serves its purpose quite well. When it comes down to it, no matter what kind of fancy phone you see in the world today, you're still basically typing numbers in *just* to talk to someone. This is why ANY phone will do.The size, comfort and everything else doesn't matter when it comes down to it.Don't even get me started on "ring tones".Geez.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quality Home Office Phone
Hard to find a quality phone these days. This Panasonic does all the basics required for a home office, including a decent speakerphone. Note that the speakerphone uses AA batteries, not an AC adaptor. Phone does NOT need batteries to work as basic phone. Recommended, but only appears to be sold online.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Corded Speaker Phone
I've been searching for a corded phone for a while and came across this one.The speaker phone is definitely a bonus, however, it won't really work properly unless you put the batteries in it. Without the batteries, you can't dial and press the speaker phone right afterward. You have to wait until the person you're calling answers the phone. So don't forget to put the batteries in if you want the speaker phone to work properly.Overall, the phone is clear and crisp. The size of the dial buttons is a good size.Definitely a good corded phone to have.

4-0 out of 5 stars Conference... in style
I needed a simple solution for my office. I wanted to be able to use the phone, but not get tied down by the handset, or the headset. Here was my solution, Since the TS105B has the 2.5mm port for a headset, I purchased a Jabra A210 Bluetooth adapter along with this phone and used one of my spare bluetooth headset to stay on conference calls and yet be able to move around my office. So far... WOW!!! its worked out great. The phone is also good by itself, plus it was inexpensive through AMAZON. For anyone interested in going the route I took... you will not be disappointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great phones, but length of phone lines matters
We replaced an aged Merlin system with these phones, and in general we're quite satisfied. The only limitation we found was that we can't use all eight phones at once in our 13-room, 4-story house. Evidently, the total length of all the phone lines -- probably several hundred feet -- is just too long. With a bit of fiddling, we got seven working solidly, and they make for a terrific phone system that meets all our needs. We expect to use all eight instruments in time, as two or three separate systems, so I can forgive this one problem.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Phone
This review should really be 4-1/2 stars but that's not an option, so...
2-0 out of 5 stars No speed dial or answering machine
The phone has excellent sound quality but I was very disappointed that it only has three speed dial numbers - It has 8 extension buttons that I will never use since it is for my home office. They should have reversed the buttons, 10 speed dials and 3 extensions.

1-0 out of 5 stars Cheap Quality Unit
This is one of those units that had potential but I guess when you build it in China and get it for less than $30, you get what you pay for.
4-0 out of 5 stars Product not as advertised
I ordered this phone because I wanted a lighted keypad for night-time use. Now I see that the keypad is "backlit" (not the same as "lighted keypad" which it advertised) and has only a small circle of light around each key that is not enough light to see which number I am dialing. Very disappointed! Also the online descriptive features says it has a speakerphone which I have yet to find, and it is not even mentioned in the instruction booklet. (FALSE ADVERTISING ?)
3-0 out of 5 stars Bright Lights
Pros:The product works great and is a wonderful spacesaver. The snooze is illuminated and is very easy to find. The information is easy to read and simple to use.Cons: You have to wear blinders at night because the illumination is so bright that it lights up the entire room!I like sleeping in the dark, not in a blue light. If the maker could place a dimmer on the display, it would be a great product.

2-0 out of 5 stars Caller ID Stopped Working on Day 3
Love this phone.....if only the Caller ID would work!It worked fine on day 1, day 2 worked on and off.....day 3 Caller ID not working.Tried moving the phone to different outlets, removing the batteries & putting them back in, tried new wire etc.... The phone works great otherwise.Loved the Caller ID when it was working--much larger than most and easy to read. Oh well!

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything you want in a corded phone!
Corded phones with features are becoming harder to find now-a-days.My home needed one corded phone for sure fire communications during power outages, mobile phone down for whatever reason, etc. This is one of the few corded phones with caller ID and no answering machine built in.The greatest feature of this phone is it has a HOLD button so one can place a call on hold while one gets high tech cordless, etc. Also with the built in speaker phone this phone is great in the kitchen.Highly recommend this for your one corded phone in the house!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great simple phone

1-0 out of 5 stars speakerphone has problems
I purchased 3 of these for my office back in October.First the speakerphone microphone on the one on my desk stopped working most of the time.I had been planning on exchanging the phone on my desk with a coworkers since I use the speakerphone on a daily basis. My investors were out this week and were on a conference call on another of the phones, that microphone stopped working.Today I had a phone interview and the THIRD phone microphone stopped working! They work for 15 or 20 seconds, then the party on the other end can't hear you. These are gone.I was also hoping for a visual indicator that there were messages waiting when you use Verizon Centrex/voicemail.No go there.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you're searching for a good quality phone, this is it!
The sound quality is very good and all the functions seem to work properly. Most of the features are very user friendly, easy to figure out. For the rest, the manual clearly tells you how to use them. I researched many phones before deciding on this one and was not disappointed. This makes a great office phone. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars No different than mainstream cheap phones
This phone was WAY under my expectations based on my experience with the SoundStation at work. This phone was as bad as the junker i've had in my closet for years that cost no more than $30 at WalMart.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good conference phone, but ...
I got this conference phone at a good price. It is quite expensive for home use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for office conferences.
I use it for my SOHO and it works great. I do not understand who other users have posted negative comments on this product. It works great, the sound quality is pretty good for the price. Soundstation with mics is better, but also three times as expensive. ... Read more
