4-0 out of 5 stars Great value - dump your inkjet and save money per page
Went out and got one of these from Staples (an Amazon partner ahem) on special for ninety nine bucks. For that, it's a great deal. I use it on my computer running Ubuntu Linux (Dapper Drake 6.02) and it works great. Had to figure out how to use foo2zjs (foo2zjs dot rkkda dot com has the perfect workable answer to installation...I donated a few dollars for the help), but once you follow the instructions and load that all-important firmware, you are in business, even allowing you to set the printer to toner-saver mode, etc.
1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible service when the product doesn't work
I must have got a lemon, because all the googling in the world doesn't help me with my problem. My printer goes to sleep mode and never wakes up, even after a cold restart (I'm using WinXP Pro SP2).Print jobs live indefinitely in the spooler and half the time need to be removed by restarting the spooler service. No one else seems to have the problem. However in debugging the issue, I've had to go through 4 online chat sessions with HP, totalling almost 6 hours, each session being less useful than the previous.I've tried different USB cables, different hubs, different ports, different drivers, and different computers.I've tried printing directly, bypassing the spooler, and various print processor options. All at their recommendation and assurance that it would fix the problem (they must have scripted responses they copy/paste into the chat because all the English and grammar is consistently bad).
5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding value printer!
Bought this model today. Light, compact and blazing fast, with razorsharp text/images and dense opaque blacks. I got it to print my black line artwork illustrations and occasional text. I compared it to the comparably priced Brother models, and chose the HP for one reason; the drum is part of the toner cartridge versus the Brother, which requires their separate drum part replaced after 10,000 prints. The Brother drum is pricey, costing more than the printer. So I went with the HP with its 10 dollar higher cartridge, but no prospect of expensive drum replacement.

1-0 out of 5 stars I'd give it a zero if that was an option.
Worked once, then quit. When hooked up to computer and turned on, a message pops up saying device detected, may not work properly. No lie. A complete waste of money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Couldn't see or map drive
I have a home network with 2 PCs and a notebook with wireless connection. The "find network wizard" worked fine - until the map network drive part.Couldn't get this thing to work even after many attempts on my part and those of an outside tech consultant.Tried to call Simpletech tech support.First try:recording - hours of service are M-F 5:30 am to 6:30 pm pacific time.Weekend warriors are out of luck until Monday.Second call during the prescribed hours: waited on hold for over 30 minutes.Gave up and returned the thing.May work on your system, but this was a dud for me.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not always there!
I purchased this drive with great expections. From the outset, it looked good, worked right away when plugged in to Windows 2000. I purchased this as an extra storage, so i moved my data over and created a network share on it. It worked nicely, I could connect from another computer. So far so good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very Nice Router
I've had this router for over a year now. It was easy to setup and never had any problem. Currently, I have 4 desktops connected to it via Cat 5 cables and 2 laptops connected wirelessly. D-Link is also good at updating its firmware. I'm a happy customer.

1-0 out of 5 stars TTerrrible - Nott worthy of the Apple name
Notice the typos? I've had mushy keyboards and I've had clicky keyboards so loud they wake the dead, but this is the first keyboard I've had that makes its own typos by doubling up letters.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good keyboard

1-0 out of 5 stars images heavily out of focus despite adjustment - returning
Just got this camera in the mail as a birthday present. Installing the software was easy, but unfortunately the camera is essentially broken. It is only (somewhat) in-focus for items about 1 inch away. Adjusting the focus ring doesn't help, so this camera's build seems to be defective. My brother bought the same camera and it doesn't seem to have the same problem. Anyway, returning mine.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Cam, and its not expensive!
I saw the other reviews and was hoping I would have the same experience as the happy reviewers. Well, I got the cam and it was easy to install like they say. It just takes a little tinkering, with the PC options before you use it. With the mic and software it comes with, you get a lot for your money! If I bought a cam in the store, I would have been mad to lose out on this PC camera. It is SWEET!

5-0 out of 5 stars Does NOT work with MAC at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another GREAT Logitech product
I upgraded from a Logitech Marble (which still works perfectly after a year, I just wanted to go wireless). This is slightly bigger and has a larger ball. Your hand position is also a little different, which, to me, seemed very akward and uncomfortable at first. However, after about a day, this one became second nature and I couldn't imagine it being any different. I LOVE IT!
2-0 out of 5 stars Optical Trackman Fan

4-0 out of 5 stars Good buy, some button programming required.
I'm really enjoying this device. It has made many tasks easier. One thing I will note is that the right mouse button is difficult to use where it is positioned. The button layout is flawed in this regard. However, I was able to reprogram one of the other mouse buttons under the thumb to function acceptably in this role. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Not bad but not the greatest
Very hard to use with direcTV since you have to have the reciever box in order to change channels. volume is really low when you watch tv so you have to turn it up really loud and scares the hell out of me when I get an instant message cause its soo loud. The video quality is average its not sharp and crisp. Also has a really slow reaction speed. When i control the DirecTV reciever it takes about 3-4 seconds for it to show on screen which at times is very annoying. The recording quality is so so when i watched a playback there were horizontal lines everywhere and was a little bit blurry. And on DirecTV you cant choose shows that you want to record becuase you have to set it to the channel the show is on and then set the time you want it to record because you can't control the channels from your computer. You basically set it on channel 3 then set the channel on the reciever. As for the software, cant even use guide plus becuase its not cable.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent addtion to Windows Media Center PC
I added this card to a Windows MCE 2005 machine that I built, and I'm very pleased with the results.Live TV and recordings are clear and sharp, radio playback is good, and the remote, which works through walls (I'm using it about 25 feet away), works fine with MCE 2005, and some of the buttons are customizable.
1-0 out of 5 stars IS NOT SUPPORTED BY MS WinXP MCE 2005
Just bought this card since I did not notice it was not in the list of supported cards on MCE site. Will return it tomorrow.

4-0 out of 5 stars A reliable one; no connection drops
I have had it for more than 2 months now. During this time it has not dropped the connection even once.I have tried Netgear and Belkin in the past. They used to drop connection every now and then. I bought this one to use it with my VOIP phone line to replace my current Belkin router. So far this one has held up pretty good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent and stable
I've been using this router for a few days. I just had to set it up - I haven't had any cause to touch it since, it's very reliable. Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars d-link 108g MIMO router okay :)
its an okay router from what it seems so far.signal great, clean no drops as of yet but as soon as you get it you have to update the firmware to use it..i tried and it wasnt possible to do without it... mine came with no instructions however, so to tap into your routers GUI to configure it enter 192.168.0.1 in the adress bar in Internet explorer... then configure there.. you can throw away the install cd that came with it or maybe try to bargin with Satan to take it back to hell where it came from because it is completely usless! other than that everything is good :) ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A good economical choice
This is a quick, quiet machine, and so far it works for me. A relatively new model, I was told it was the replacement for the1020, but I'm not sure that's the case. In any event, it is extremely simple to set up and operate, and it doesn't take up much space. It's a big improvement over my inkjet, an HP deskjet 960c. I figure my cost is about 5 cents a page. So far, highly recommended.

I searched online for over a week for a backpack for my 15.4" laptop and this was definitely the best value for money option. Many of the backpacks I saw had the same specs and the prices were considerably higher.

5-0 out of 5 stars Unbeatable Value!
Having searched high and low in local shops for the right case, I shout "hooray".There are relatively few cases out there for the 17" models and the ones I did find were much more expensive.Well-constructed, roomy enough without the bulk or weight, and even attractive, I think, it's absolutely perfect for carrying or storage - in fact, I nominate it as my find of the month!Bravo Amazon for the great price and service! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars TERRIBLE RELIABILITY
Even though I have used my printer (a Pixma 5000) very lightly, it jams regularly on Canon photo paper and then spills ink everywhere. Today it went into "service error 5700" and it doesn't work any more, even after rebooting it five times.
5-0 out of 5 stars Why did I wait so long?
I am a very loyal consumer and will generally stay with the specific brands I buy. This was true with Epson printers that I have purchased for many years. Common sense finally took hold after the last tank change and subsequent 6 head cleanings before a good print could be made, not to mention almost 1/4 of the tank depleted. (at least by their monitoring system) Tired of wasted ink and paper, nozzle cleans, tank changes for 1 low color, etc., I decieded to make the change to Canon and purchased the ip6700D. Setup on my Intel driven Imac was a breeze! Talk about instant gratification! My very first print came out flawless with better resolution and sharpness than any Epson I have owned. I even had to look to see if it was doing anything during printing, unlike the Epson that was only rivaled by the dishwasher for making noise! Individual print setup was also a snap. The quality, paper and other parameters were simple utilizing the supplied software. I found the "trimming" capabilities were better and easier than some of my high dollar graphic programs I have. I printed out a box (100) of 4" x 6" prints, one after the other and didn't lose 1 sheet from a malfunction of the printer. No head cleaning. no alignments, no getting ready to do a tank change! Nothing but high quality prints. At least the remaining Epson borderless premium glossy paper worked well.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Fast, Fine Printing Machine
My setup: Dell Dimension 9100, nVidia 6800, Dell 19" ultrasharp flat panel, Photoshop Elements 3, Nikon Coolpix 5700 camera. For the initial setup, I inserted the CompactFlash card from the Nikon into the printer and printed a picture on plain paper. This was to determine the printer worked properly out of the box. The results were fine. The 3.5" display is clear and easy to work with. The printer controls are, for the most part, understandable and easy to use. You could do a lot of printing with this machine without a computer and would need only a minimum of reference to the manual.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Monitor!
Upgraded from 19" Viewsonic CRT. This monitor is superb! Recommendation: go with native resolution, enable Clear Type through display settings, and download the monitor drivers from Viewsonic (XP uses standard drivers, not as good as Viewsonic's imo), then restart, makes a huge difference over settings out of the box.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very happy with this monitor
This replaces a CRT monitor on my old W98SE system. Video card is an ATI 8MB. The OS will not allow the optimal 1280x1024 resolution, so I am using it at 1024x768. I assume the outdated video card is responsible.
4-0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I expected.
This monitor is great, especially since it's the cheapest 17" flat panel I found on Amazon. There are no dead pixels at all, and it's working great for me, because I have a bunch of extra room on my desk now (having switched from a CRT monitor).

2-0 out of 5 stars Defective
This item worked great for the one month it worked. I'm now waiting for a replacement because Iomega determined the equipment to be defective. I sneaked a peek inside before shipping it out and saw the hard drive inside is actually a Seagate. Maybe I'll steer clear of both brands from now on.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not so Good.Latency is another problem
Besides the drawbacks mentioned in other reviews, it also has quite a bit of latency. If just listening to music, it wouldn't matter.I wanted to use itwith my guitar, plugging it into the processing unit. The problem is that there is a second or two delay between playing a note and hearing it in this wireless headphone. Also, the charging lights didn't work at all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works great!!! .. around the house, at work, in airplane
I read the previous mixed reviews here and was somewhat concerned about getting these ... but I always wanted wireless headphones so I gave them a try. Let me address some of the issues that have been raised:
5-0 out of 5 stars get 'em NOW!!!
These are great for road trips, T.V., and other stuff. whaen i was getting them i wanted to know how big the transmitter is. it's small. it comes with a plastic thing so the transmitter dosen't hang; wich is the only time when the quality is not so good. it also comes with a elastick/velcro band to keep it from hanging. the charger has a V spliter so you can charg the headphones & the transmitter at the same time. this all fits in a carrying pack that comes with it. at full charg it lasts the same as my ipod. the ears are not to big. Im a kid and they fit me. theses are aswome ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything I was hoping for
I am very happy with this mouse and would recommend it to everyone. It looks good, but more importantly, it feels good.Button placement, weight, smoothness, everything was done well.Coming from wired mice, the lack of a wire is very freeing.I am also especially happy with how small the USB radio receiver is.I am using this mouse on a laptop and love how inobtrusive it is.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Mouse
Very light, and the battery lasts long. Easy to move, and works far away from the receiver. The only shortcoming is that some times the pointer on the screen will go down the screen by itself. As a result, you have to re-position the mouse. Do not know whether this is because of the driver or not.

2-0 out of 5 stars Worked great for 6 months
For the first 6 months, this mouse worked great. It eats batteries though. In the beginning, the batteries lasted just over 2 months. Now they only last about a month.

4-0 out of 5 stars After using it for 2 years.
It was nice mice I used.
5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite Optical mouse
Have been using this mouse from 2003 until just this month in 2006 when the right button stopped working and I had to find a new mouse. For the three years of using it, this has been my favorite mouse ever. It is a simple design, and there isnt much extras on it, but I have loved the shape and weight of it. Plus the blue/grey color is pretty sharp looking, in my opinion.
5-0 out of 5 stars well pleased
I am very glad that I ordered this mouse, and I'm sure I will tell everyone about it. Thank you. Debbie ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and works very well
I bought one and found it very easy to install and use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Everything I wanted.
Though I am an IT pro, I have never worked with WiFi. I had 3 problems setting up: 1) I couldn't access the setup utility in the router with it connected to another router, as I'd intended; 2) After that, I couldn't reach the Internet; 3) After that, I couldn't connect from my WiFi laptop.
1-0 out of 5 stars Lasts one week - BAD FIRMWARE
I had a Belkink wireless and sell it to buy this one... bad choice... only four days I could use it.I've downloaded the latest firmware from Linksys webpage and didn't work.. the router freezes and is not working.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product & Getting Better
I am not going go into all the technical information because everyone seems to be covering that. I am an owner operator truck driver that travels across the country and into Canada. Because I own my business I have to keep tons of receipts. Since NeatReceipts is still relatively new to the market of course there are going to be issues with it. Just look at Microsoft and how long they have been at it. No matter what you think of Microsoft you have to admit that they still put out a great product. Especially if you consider all the different applications that different people use and how they use them. Anyway, back to the NeatReceipts product. People are complaining about the program not reading all of the information. I have few instances that the receipt does not read well and that's usually because the receipt is graphics heavy. Even then it only takes about 10 seconds to use the drop down boxes to enter the correct info. If you had to sit for hours on end and enter receipts then you might have something to complain about but if you are using the program as you go or even weekly then this is hardly a problem. Also, every time you use the program it gets easier because it remembers such info as "Vendors" and "Categories." Another thing that I was really impressed with is their customer support. I have sent them an email twice already, once for praise and the second was to ask them to consider adding the option to set up an "Auto-Save" feature. Both times I had a personalized email answer within the hour. I was also told the "Auto-Save" option is going to be added in two weeks (end of September) when the new upgrade is released. According to the website they also plan to add color to the scanning with an upgrade this fall. The last point that I would like to make is that NeatReceipts put this product out and they are supporting it. They have been continuously putting out new upgrades which means that this program is only going to get better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad product, Bad customer service
It's just a scanner. That's really all it is and if you already have one, then don't bother buying this one. The software to read receipts is horrible. It picks up random numbers and assigns them as the price, when it isn't. It also only reads the retailer's name on the receipt, if the name is in typical font, versus a logo. Most retailers use a logo font, so most of the time you have to enter the retailer name yourself. It does not save time!!! It takes a long time to scan, the software doesn't work, and the company's customer service is not knowledgeble.

3-0 out of 5 stars "Truth in Scanning"
The scanner is great and performs well.HOWEVER, if you think that you can scan your receipts into Neatreceipts and then export the scanned transaction to Quicken, BEWARE!The scanned documents resides in the Neatreceipt software and only the transaction is exported to Quicken. This might be OK if you want two separate pieces of software to maintain and update but not really acceptable. The current version of Quicken provides for attaching a scanned image to the transaction in the Quicken software.Neatreceipts doesn't allow you to do this.Secondly, you CANNOT export the Neatreceipt transactions directly into a Quicken checking or savings account.(It doesn't matter if this is a Quicken problem...it is a real problem nonetheless). If you want to export your scanned "transaction" (but not the image) to Quicken you have to export the transactions to a "dummy" account and then transfer within Quicken the individual transactions to the appropriate checking/savings account.I use Quicken heavily and a little math results in increasing my workload by some 200% in addition to mainting two separate sets of software!
