it SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
well the radio is horrible and it won't play my burned cd's.it's ok, i'm twelve years old, so don't start thinking that you're reading a review from a five year old (he he).The screen is very difficult to read. After about a week or two, both hinges broke on the top of the cd cover. Now, it won't close, and just stays opened all the time. It's pretty annoying, and to get it to play my cds, i have to put like, a dictionary and lava lamp to hold it down, LITERALLY!!!!!!!! And really, I'm not kidding. But on the positive side,the sound is OK. It doesn't take up much space on my nightstand,either.If you were getting ready to buy this product, in my opinion, you shouldn't.It was a waste of money and i hate it.Especially for that price,too. Ok,well,you don't have to take my word for it, you can buy it, but my suggestion for you is not to.
It plays CDs. It wakes me up.Good nuff.
I've had this for a year, and don't have much trouble with it.It seems to be a bit fast, gaining a few minutes every month, but maybe I'm bumping a button wrong when I'm setting the alarm.

I agree with all others on this unit. Nice sounding speakers but the radio reception poor. No dimmer switch and the display button is for displaying the cd tracks if anyone needs to know. But over all alarm is loud enough to wake the heavy sleeper. They need to make these radios with pull out antennas. ... Read more

Mine works Great, and I love it.
I don't know what these other reviewers are talking about, I have had great luck with this and all of the Memorex products that I have purchased. This item hangs down and is designed to do so, it is a under cabinet mount radio, they all hang down, some more than others....

Compared to other models (especially by Sony) this one is quite the clunker!It's very big and hangs down low. It seems very low tech.Once you get a quick look at it, you can tell that design is not a factor at all.Spenda little more and get something cool and sleek that you'll use for years to come.

Memorex products are cool, but.....
The MC-3800 that I got had a weak front end (Receiver)and poor sound quality at lower volume levels. The equipment is designed well and functionality is great but fails to produce the sound quality of receivers that are a fraction of the cost. Not worth the money...
I have had this CD alarm clock for a little over 2 years and I HATE it!This is the third one I have been through.I don't know if it is because we have a lot of times when our electric goes out but every time I turn around something else is wrong with this product.When I first got it, it was a great product.But, now I don't have any CD player, my alarms only buzz for ever and then only play radio even on Buzz, so I get confused.No matter what setting it is on now it is the radio I wake up to, which throws off my body as it got used to only hearing a Buzzing noise forever.I also hate the fact that the CD Alarm has been broke for about a year and a half.But I got so sick of returning these to find a good one I have just suffered.But, it makes me mad that I paid so much for a product that does work.I realize that CD Alarm clocks don't have a great life span as my sisters also blew after only about 6 months.If you really want a CD alarm clock I would look for one with a great warranty.Other-wise if a regular one will work invest in a really great basic one.

Looks familiar... isn't this a Mirari CDM372?
Sometimes cheapie items can work better than the more expensive ones. I've had nothing but trouble since the day I got my Rio Volt SP150. Its so picky about what CD's it will play, sometimes I have to waste 4 disc just to get one that may work. This player is simple and doesn't have fancy features, but it plays WMA CD's and that's all that really matters to me. My whole music collection is in WMA for space saving reasons. You can fit more 128kbps wma's onto a CDR than you can Mp3's of the same bitrate. This is a functional cd player, now if only it had ID3 text display and a user adjustable EQ. ... Read more

Good Unit With a Quirk
This is a good digital tuner unit, with solid sound quality, remote and an external antenna to improve station quality. We have had this radio for a couple of years now. I am writing this review to address the specific problem brought up by a previous reviewer, specifically that the buttons on the unit stop working. This too happened to us. After disconnecting the unit from the wall for a short period of time, we found that the buttons on the unit stopped working. At first all of the buttons were unresponsive and the unit would only respond to its remote, but at some point the side buttons came back to life and only the front ones continued to malfunction. Fortunately, after an extended power outage, the front buttons finally came back as well. This defect may recur in the future, at which point I'll try disconnecting the unit and removing the backup battery to affect a reset. The RC-CD600 is a good unit with a quirk.

A Very good product
A little pricey, but worth it.It is hard to find a CD Clock radio with digital tuning, decent sound quality and a large display clock.The clock display is actually LED, and much easier to read than LCD.Sound quality is good, better than most clock radios, stereo or mono, but certainly not as good as a Bose, CSW or Kloss.Some things miss the mark as other reviewers mention, gentle wake (alarm fades up slowly when it first goes off) would be a nice touch, and alarm 2 is buzzer only - a big fowl on Panasonic's part.Overall, a very good product with a few flaws, but after spending weeks looking, buying and returning other brands, I'll stick with this.

The worst alarm clock ever
Like another reviewer said this clock does not keep time.I'll set it at night and it will be at least 45 minutes fast when I wake up (45 minutes early!!).The radio is horrible and only gets a handful of stations.
Great, cheap little alarm clock!
Granted, I just got it recently, but it's nicer than I expected.Time is accurate, the alarm is loud enough to wake you but a pleasant tone (not grating), my radio reception is perfect, the digits are quite big but not too bright.And it's cute, to boot.
