The radio sounds great as does the CD player.This morning it was 14 dgrees F in N.Y. and the CD player was very unclear with alot of static until my car warmed up.I believe the Laser lens was probably fogged from moisture.Eventually it played great again as the static gradually diminished.The CD also could use a last track played memory.This would come in handy when continuing to listen to a CD book after re-entering the car.It takes minutes to FF and REV to find the point you stopped at.Otherwise, for the money, this unit works very well. ... Beware this is not a spliter to hook up to 2 multiple radios
The review above states you can split the signal of the sat and hook up multiple radios.This is incorrect as I just learned.TERK says you can not split the sat signal.This is made for the TERK SIR 3 Antenna's and the old style Dual input receivers.It will not match up with the SIR-EXT50 cables either.

Can be Used as Antenna Splitter
This item can also be used to split the Sirius signal off of one antenna into two recivers in your home.You'll need two 50 feet extension wires from TERK SIR-EXT50 one for each of the splitter ends.Just plug the antenna wire into the single side, then out of both the others comes a split signal.The signal is not lowered in quality.For those of us who have 2 Sirius receivers in the house, this saves on having two antennas.

if you want an mp3 player buy an ipod. it makes me sick.

Do Not Buy Toshiba Products
First off, the 755e PDA is very fragile and resets constantly and was poorly engineered.When it works, it is very nice.However, the buttons are easiy hit, so no matter how you carry it, the unit comes on and drains the battery.I sent mine back to Toshiba under warranty for repair, because the touchscreen went out, the serial number on back was worn off because the unit label wears off after a couple of months use.I enclosed the original serial number label from the box with a letter explaining the malfunction. Toshiba sent me a replacement unit, then later they charged my credit card for $499 (price of a new one at the time) and sent my old one back, because they said it did not have a serial number.The tech support person I was dealing with originally would never return my call, nor did the support manager.I thus, gave up since it would cost more to sue them than I lost.In the end, I ended up with a refurb unit for the price of a new one, that also failed after 1 year of use.Therefore, in my opinion, Toshiba's warranty is worthless and the unit will likely not last more than a year or two before it has major issues. You can take the risk if you want to, but I will never buy another Toshiba product of any kind as long as I live.They burned me once, but never again.

cool little radio...if you can get receiption.
I bought this the other day.I can't get receiption at my house anywhere, even outside. I took it over to my mom's house who lives 30 mins away, worked perfect.I took it home, no receiption.The very next day I took it back to my moms, no reeiption.

Rocky Mountain Radar Detector: C430
I have to say that first of all, I cannot agree or disagree with the other reviews about the laser/radar jamming part of the unit.I do not know if it does or does not work.I for one do not and would not have a radar gun in my possession to use in order to test that function of it.Secondly, I CAN say that the detection part of the unit DOES work.It has saved my butt every single time I have needed it to.I owned a Uniden unit before this one and it was total junk.The C430 has an extremely long range of detection on it.If you want a very good radar/laser detector and don't care to have a jammer, then I recommend getting a Rocky Mountain Radar unit.

BEWARE OF ROCKY MOUNTAIN RADAR AND IT'S PRODUCTS!
Worst customer service ever! Worst Radar detector performance ever! I received the DSL310 as a gift for Xmas and the unit only worked for 5 months. Rocky mountain radar said to send it in and they would take care of it. Sent product and received a letter that stated they needed 25.00 to repair it or 10.00 to send it back unprepared. Spoke with Customer service they do not back up their products. It only cost me 4.00 to send it in and now they need 10.00 to get it back still broken. Something is fishy! Do your self a favor go with a another company and radar! ... Read more

Excellent Deal
This was a great deal. No hazzle and the product was shipped in no time.

Great buy for the money!!
I stopped keeping track after this radar detector paid for itself four times over by alerting me of traffic cops hidden late at night.I would absolutely have stopped for speeding every single time.I've gotten one ticket since then by a cop who SAID he tagged me with a laser, but I think he was lying since the detector didn't go off, and it alerted me of a laser radar in the past. It does go off a lot when there isn't a police radar around, but not for very long. To me that is a minor inconvenience.I just don't turn it up so lound that it drives me crazy. I can't say how it stacks up against more expensive products, but since it's saved me more than $600 in tickets, I'd say it is a very worthwhile investment.

I received a Cobra XRS 9300 rader detector for Christmas and was disapointed to learn that something in my car generates a constant Ka band signal of varying strength.

The sound quality is much, much better than the OEM speaker it replaced. I am surprized on the quality of the bass, no booming and a lot it for the size. The mid-range sound seems good and crisp, however the highs are lacking just a tad.

I use this item about 5 hrs a day, 5 days a week. It has lasted me two years in where some of the buttons couldn't function correctly. This was due to accidental droping of the unit. It is a heavy unit, not meant to be a portable like a DVD player. It goes quite loud in mono and comes with a durable case. If you work alone and have noting to do I cannot reccomend

Very disappointed. Thought it was a fantastic investment, the kids loved it on long trips (we only took about 3) and then it happened....The picture went blank! Only sound came out. This is obviously a known problem so beware if you purchase this. Doesnt work for long and thats probably why the warranty is only 90 days. Too bad too because it is well made structurally and sounds great but whats the sense if the picture cant be viewed. They need to correct this known problem free of charge.
