it's bad!!
I buy the audio because it has a black color inside and grey outside and the light was purple, and when receipt andextracts it of the box, it was gray, it lks bad and when I turn it on, the light was green and just imagine how itlooks likein a jetta 2004!! Besides, works just one week and then, already dont work the screen, also there are moments where it stops to work correctly and you can`t change your presets.I remove it of the car and now I`m looking for another caraudio and if you would like to buy one of this!! think about it!! have a nice day, and sorry for my english but is not my language. ... Go for a Roady XT
I picked up the Sportscaster after seeing some pretty good rebate deals from XM. I got it and all seemed great: Smaller design, remote, easy to see screen, etc. It wore off after about a week. The mounting bracket is terrible. The radio hardly stayed on the bracket. The antenna jack also seemed pretty shotty. The antenna would be plugged in snug, but everytime I hit a bump or the car shook a little more the signal was lost and the 'Check Antenna' screen would come on. It happend way too often. Before I finally got rid of it the buttons on the unit began not working. I guess I pressed the power button on the unit too hard and it got in contact with the channel changing buttons because the channels would change by itself. I now have an XT and couldn't be happier. Better cradle, larger display and just a better product.

Nice For The Price
The Sportscaster is a very basic unit, but a great value and a good way to get started with XM. Display is attractive and easy to read in daylight or darkness. Watch for rebate offers from XM and you can make the price practically negligible. Also be sure to ask XM about current promotions when you sign up for service on their toll free number. Promos are often unadvertised. The included remote is a nice bonus and much easier to use than the controls on the face plate. Why not 5 stars? The car mount is terrible to the point of being useless. It just won't hold the radio. The slightest tug on a cord or bump in the road and the radio is on the floor. The mount included in the seperate home kit, however, is excellent.

There are many other receivers that are MUCH better
I wouldn't recommend this receiver.I previously had a Delphi SkiFi and my husband had an Audiovox.unfortunately, they both got stolen.So this sportscaster was my replacement - it was the 'special' that XM was running at the time.compared to these other two receivers, this one is terrible.it's very cheaply made; the remote is unsatisfactory - cheap buttons and controls that don't always work correctly; the mounting clip is poorly designed/made...i don't even use it anymore.the size is nice b/c it fits easily into any space in my 4runner.However, the screen display is also terrible and very cheap.Not as must customization as the others.I would suggest paying a little extra $$ for a much better receiver!I'm actually pretty disappointed that XM is even selling such a piece of junk product. ... I thought this was the answer to my needs.
The biggest problem was needing to change 3 CR 2032 batteries every 2 or 3 weeks.Within 2 months I already spent more than I paid for the organizer in batteries.I threw it out.Other than that:I checked out all the organizers available when my old one went.Until finding this, not one did everything I wanted.I use Outlook Express, but because I thought this was the answer to my needs, I imported everything from OE to Outlook on another login identity on my computer along with my "Works" calendar.Everything uploaded without any problem to the device.Software that came with it worked well.I liked the idea of the extra programs - currency converter, language translators, translators for common phrases, and spell checker.Well, only ONE extra program is downloadable at a time.So, going to Quebec I had to decide on currency converter, English to French translator or French phrases. ... Could be a great product
Unfortunately, it is not.I bought the Xact unit in June 2005 and it worked marginally at best until early September 2005 when it completely stopped working.After wrangling with their horrible customer service staff for countless hours, they finally replaced the unit after more than a month.My second one worked for 6 weeks.I can say with all certainty that this is the worst product I've ever purchased and the worst service I've ever received.

BUYER BEWARE !!
DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY. The products are poor, the repairs are poorer and the customer service is non existant. They will not refund anything, even if your product dies twice in the first 9 weeks. ... Read more

good radio....bad kit
I love my sirius radio, i really really do. I do not listen to regular radio anymore. The setup of this radio was simple, and works well in my Tahoe. The only issue i have is the car kit has broken and i've had it less than a year. I need to replace it but i cannot locate a place to buy just the mounting kit sans radio. I had it professionally installed into my SUV so that i don't have the wires all over the place, and it looks great, and i don't experience the sound issues the others that posted here did.

It works for me
I noticed the Kenwood H2E satellite radio has received nothing but bad reviews thus far. My experience with the product is a bit more positive. I've always been a loyal Kenwood customer as far as my audio needs, in fact my old stereo from the mid 80s is still in use, I've had nothing but positive experiences with Kenwood products. As far as my H2E it could be better but overall I'm very satisfied. The FM modulator as everyone stated is very weak, not worth the trouble...don't even bother. However as I use my satellite radio primarily at home, this isn't an issue for me since I simply hook the radio to my stereo using the RCA cable that comes with the product. Reception and sound is perfect, crystal clear...plus Sirius has improved ten-fold with their reception issues over the last couple of months...I used to have frequent drop-outs in signal strength, I haven't had single drop-out in months. The blue display is nice but hard to read if you're more than 10 feet away...I have my radio in the bedroom so this isn't an issue. The hardware itself is good, easy to learn the functions, the remote control is kind of small and has a cramped feel but it's easily learnable. The radio after prolonged use does get warm as others said but it's no different than any other electronic device, in fact much less than most...I haven't experienced no excessive heat or humming sound. Note I bought mine later than the rest of the reviews so it's possible Kenwood has improved the product. Unfortunately I am not able to use my Kenwood H2E in my car because of previous electrical problems in my car unrelated to my satellite radio so I have no clue how it works using the car kit. For primary home use I highly recommened the Kenwood H2E if you have good audio equipment but if you need to use the FM modulator (ie: boombox, alarm clock radio, etc.) I'd find another product.

Good economical kit
This kit came with everything you need. The other review says 17 ft may be a little short but I drive a Cadillac Sedan DeVille, one of the longest cars made, and it's plenty. I just wish they would've pre-terminalized the power cord. If you know what you're doing, you could run all these wires and power your amp in an hour. The insulation on the wires is really thick so you'll need a utility knife to cut that off. It's a great kit, especially for the price.

Lousy detector bugged by wireless communication issues
I have bought this detector one week ago. Upon installlation I was unable to get the antenna and the unit to see each other with the motor running. Still there are certain moments when i can get them to see each other, that is when the engine is off. But you can't get much speed with the engine off unfortunately so I went asking the local Whistler dealer to see if i got a faulty antenna unit. They advised me to return the unit as they had numerous problems with this type of unit and get a 3450.

Great concept, but doesn't work well
I have used Whistler radar detectors for many years and have them on all of my vehicles. This model, which is wireless, was very attractive because of the ease of installation. Unfortunately, the unit mounted under the hood and the display on the interior of the car do not talk to each other well and you are plaqued with messages and beeps saying they are not communication. After having spoken to Manfacturer technical people and doing what they suggested, I have returned the unit for a new one hoping I just got a bad one.

Works well
I have had this little gadget for about a year and a half.In almost every way I would give it five stars.It consistently stops me at the proper place each time I pull in to the garage.My only small complaint is that it eats through batteries like crazy.I have to change them every couple of weeks.I have looked for an A/C adapter to work with it and even have bought 2 universal adapters with multiple sizes but nothing works.I have tried other things like a laser that shows you where to park but nothing else works as well as this light.In fact I am online searching for an adapter right now!I guess I will just have to buy stock in Energizer...

Great little stereo for the price
I was looking for a stereo that played MP3 files.Did the research, and for the price ($120 at the time), grabbed this one.
nice piece of equipment
This JVC cd receiver is very powerful with my 6 x 9 speakers. It also fits neatly in my dash and was easily hooked up. I also really like that it has a input to connect directly to my JVC cd changer which I can access with one touch of the remote. The two colour display is really cool too.

Great for about 2 months
I ordered this amp and it worked like a charm for two months.After that, it is just dead in the water.I have power lights and a local stereo shop checked everything out and confirmed that the amp is bad.Leave this amp alone because it is a waste of money.
