5-0 out of 5 stars Short and Sweet
I just bought this at my local store. It prints great pictures...it so easy to set up.Most of the comments below I agree with.I'll leave it to that!!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best gifts I've ever received
I received the printer as a Xmas gift from my mother and brother in 2005. I love love love this photo printer.I was blown away by the print quality when I saw the very first picture that I printed. They look like they were developed in a photo lab. I've printed more than 300 photos and the quality of the print is the same as the very first picture.I love all the features of the printer especially the Disney borders.Since the printer is portable and does not require a PC, I have taken it to special events and printed photos to give to friends and family. Most of them have also been amazed at the quality of the photos. No more photo labs for me.I would highly recommend this printer to anyone and everyone.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great Pictures - Poor Hardware Quality
I purchased this printer 10 months ago after reading the reviews which all seemed great.I've always been an HP fan.

2-0 out of 5 stars Starry Eyed Over This One, But Lets Me Down
Upon the joyful news that we were having a girl, my husband decided to invest in a new digital camera and a photo printer. The digital camera still works great--the printer is another matter. While this one prints beautiful pictures, the cost of ink far outweighs the beauty of them sometimes.
3-0 out of 5 stars Great photos BUT ...
Yes, it has excellent quality photos - worth the slow printing to get - not really all that slow.BUT . . . I have had to re-install the software several times in the year or so that I have owned it - fickle.AND now, without warning, the printer now needs repair - no abuse to it, no special printing - just one day decided to malfunction.HP on-line technician says it is internal hardware problem and I will have to pay to get it fixed.HA! costs more to repair than replace, but reliability on this hasn't been all that great in my HP experiences with several printers.Troubleshooting guides not that great, doesn't go into a lot of the problems.Got a paper jam? Yeah, that's covered in the troubleshooting. But receive a special error code on the LCD display? Nah, can't let the customer know what that code means...So, if you can buy this CHEAP, then it's worth it for the quality of the photo printing, but plan for it to have a short life.

3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good, But...
yep, this thing uses photo ink like a horse drinks water. not sure how it compares to other makes or models though.

1-0 out of 5 stars worst printer ever
do not buy this printer it has manufacture problem bought mine on amazon
5-0 out of 5 stars Quality Printer - Good Prints, Fast, Not as Pricy As Expected
I've owned epsons before and they all used ink fast and it was expensive. The overall experience i have with epsons has been fantastic though so I am willing to pay extra. This printer has been great so far. The photos are excellent and the disk printing is neat but i've really only played with it. People say they have problems with ink clogging but i do not use generics and i have not had problems. I have been told to keep it off when not in use and maybe that has helped. And at about $8 a color cartdridge shipped from amazon in a multipack, i am happy to buy the genuine epson ink. Again, another quality printer from epson.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
this is an awsome printer. it prints on all size paper. it has a tray so that you can even print on printable CD's. has the ink in six different cartriges so you only have to buy one at a time. it prints very fast and you don't even have to use a computer with it. if you do it plugs into it with a USB cord so it won't be your main printer ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Frustrating Cartridge Problems
This printer was very nice for the first month we owned it - nice pictures with the photo printing cartridge. Then, we had the first cartridge "failure" and it has been downhill since.Nearly brand new cartridges fail, producing horrible prints and wasting large amounts of money. All of our attempts to get help from HP did not solve the problem and now we don't even bother trying to fix the failed print cartridges. They still work, just make awful looking print outs with lines through them.I don't feel like throwing away another 30 bucks just to have the nearly full cartridge fail in a couple of weeks!Remember when HP was a sign of a quality printer?I'm starting to forget too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely flawless!!An Excellent companion to your Digital Camera!!
We have owned HP 7760 printer for over a year, and it has been absolutely flawless!!Very easy to use, with surreal print quality...it works even without your PC!!Great companion to your Digital Camera!!Highly recommended!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Printer, Superb Price
This printer was given as a gift two years ago, but would not work with my Windows 95 PC; however, when I upgraded to a new iMac this year I pulled the HP Photosmart 7760 out of the box and gave it a try. Installation was straightforward, though I did have to "modify" the USB cable -- which, inexplicably, you must purchase separately -- to make it fit into the printer side of the connection. Otherwise the printer was up and running within minutes.

3-0 out of 5 stars Worked great for a year... then.. pft.
If I wrote this review a month ago, I would have said Yes, this printer is fantastic. The photo quality is gorgeous and its easy to use.
1-0 out of 5 stars Small part broke off from tri-color cartridge holder
A small plastic part broke off from the tri-color cartridge holder, and now the little metal wire in that cartridge holder area no longer is in the correct position. When I put a tri-color cartridge in, the printer says the color cartridge is bad. The printer now will only print with the black or photo cartridge in--but either way the prints come out black and white. I really loved this printer until this happened. I was concerned about the cheap feel of the cartridge holders and the snap down latch on the cartridges--but I thought it would be ok since it was made by HP. I am going to miss this printer (I am still upset that it broke!) and I was careful with it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Flimsy as advertised...
As others have specified, things are flimsy.I've had this printer now for 389 days. And as the tech support person I talked to this evening, there is only a 365 day warranty...

1-0 out of 5 stars Crucial pieces broke off
I have had my 7550 printer for 3 years. After the 2 year point the black cartridge stopped working.Replacing it didn't work so I used it in "reserve mode" for a year (only using the other more expensive color cartridges).Today one of the color cartridges stopped working.I found a tiny black piece of plastic at the site, so I checked all three. Lo and behold, the little black pieces that hold the cartridges in place are missing from the two cartridge doors that are not working.I checked the third one and it is hanging by a thread.Three times a charm... sounds like a major design flaw.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Printer I ever owned
I love HP printers, but this one takes the top award. It prints photos, word documents, and whatever else you want it to with ULTRA high quality. The LCD just adds to the design. Ink can be expensive as this model holds ALL 3 (black and white, color and photo) all at once, unlike lower models. Its easier though, and well worth it! This is some printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great printer
I am not a technophobe, yet I found this printer easy to use and operate.I have printed all the way to 8 X 10 photos with no problems and great clarity.I really like it, and have owned it since they first came out over a year ago with no problems. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome printer
I bought this printer to make photo pictures with my Kodak digital camera.I liked the idea that you could print pictures with it and not have to have it hooked up to a computer.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best printer I've ever owned!
I've been through a lot of crappy printers and this one was the best I've ever had. It's held up through 4 moves, a lot of printing through grad school, and the best part is that the ink cartridges are cheap and last a long time!I also recently discovered that it prints great pics! All around, you couldn't ask for more for $99.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Performer on 4X6 photos
The Canon i470D has turned out to be a very good investment.I am in electronics sales and we are constantly told to that "features tell & benefits sell!"

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth the $$$
I purchased this printer, not knowing exactly what I would use it for, and realized that it works great for photos.I no longer make the run to the store and open up the wallet. The cartridges last for a decent amount of time and I thoroughly enjoy the convenience.

1-0 out of 5 stars Carriage stuck.
The quality of pictures is very good. However, the carriage gets stuck on the left margin and there is no solution, outside of replacement of printer. The lever to insert photo size paper is poorly designed and break easily, leaving one to hand feed paper.

4-0 out of 5 stars This printer is Great!
This printer prints out wonderful pictures. I'm very happy with it. I have had no problems whatsoever. I think the people that had problems possibly had a bad batch. No product is perfect. But as far as I'm concerned, mine is great!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars really good printer
i got this printer to start a photo studio in my house, and i live out of te city and all the people i took a picture, are happy whit it. i am workin whit this printer so, i tink is one of the best i have. also have lexmark 6170 all in one and works great too. the ink last me a lot. have more than 100 shots and still almost at half. i sold all the pict. and share whit some family , all are in love whit this printer. another thing. i dont use glossy paper. starting using ferrania profesional satin is the best paper for photos. try ferrania and youll remember me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for novices and travellers
The printer is highly suitable for non-PC environments and for those on the go. The HP Photosmart 130's affordable price, support for the main digicam storage media, "no-brainer" operation and quality output also make it a good buy for novice and intermediate digital camera users who are looking for a photo printer.4-0 out of 5 stars Good Printer for the Price
Considering that this is an older model from HP (HP discontinued this model and suggest to buy Photosmart 145 as an alternative), this is a good printer. It does pretty well what it promises to do - print quality 4x6 photos. The printer is easy to set up and easy to use. It accepts different types of digital memory cards and is pretty fast in printing - less than 30 seconds to print one photo. The quality of the prints is as good as regular camera prints - your friends wouldn't tell the difference unless you tell them. The one inconvenience with this printer is the non-availability of print preview facility on the printer - you have to note down the serial number of the image (by viewing on the camera) before inserting the digital memory card into the printer. Overall, this is a good printer for the price you get it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not Bad, Works Fine for Basic Prints
I don't have high expectations for this type of printer, one that you can put a flash card in and print the photo without a computer. Most often, photos will need some sort of tweaking, of white balance, of color, of something. This little printer does fine with the basics. It has some editing capabilties, not as many as I'd like, but for the price, it's just fine. I wanted the printer to use at some of our fundraising events, to take pictures of people with their dogs, print out a 4x6, give them the print, and go on to the next on-- This will work fine for that, and allow us to run this with only one person, if necessary, since the computer isn't involved. Battery is a huge plus.
1-0 out of 5 stars Does not work out of the box
I am an IT professional (BSIT) and I bought this product because it is rated #1 by Consumer Reports and I own several HP printers that I really enjoy. However, I had the same experience as several other reviewers of this product. This printer simply does not work out of the box. After trying for 1 day I gave up and called HP customer service and they diagnosed the problem as a defective chip in the printer. They wanted to replace the printer with a refurbished one; I refused and threatened to return it back to Amazon. I was placed on hold and then told that I would receive a firmware upgrade via FedEx overnight. If this upgrade does not work I will be forced to return the printer to Amazon.

3-0 out of 5 stars High Quality Expensive Prints at Dial-Up Speed
Upon purchasing my first photo printer I wasn't really sure what to expect out of the HPPhotosmart 7450, but overall I'm pretty satisfied.
1-0 out of 5 stars My second HP printer dead in one year.
I had and HP 5150 for about a year and the it stop recognizing the catdriges so I went and buy this one... is the worst investment I could ever do, I use it a lot less than the one before and after a couple of months when I try to print something it says that "the printer cradle is stuck" or "paper jam on the printer".
2-0 out of 5 stars Paper jams
I use this printer for a few days, and the main problem with it (and probably with many HP printers) is demands for a good quality paper.

1-0 out of 5 stars would like to give it 5 stars, but does not work
Unfortunately, this machine does not work yet. Rather than hassle the return centers and all that, I am electing to take it to Olympus, down the street from me, and pay to have it fixed. Hopefully I can then update this review.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing printer
This printer is amazing in its output. It is functionally equivalent to the P-440, which is newer.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing!
Got this printer for $199 new (plus tax). This is the only printer I have ever used that literally is plug and play.No tweaks or fiddling with settings (though the option to do that is available).Right out of the box it prints so good you'd think you were in a Kodak or Fuji lab.I've shot photos with Lumix LC5 and Lumix FZ20 and the prints are spectacular. The trickiest part was loading in the new film, after using up the sample film that came pre-loaded.It took a couple minutes to read the directions.Someone else commented about this and gave the printer a "1" rating.Big deal. After you install the film once, you've got the idea.

1-0 out of 5 stars Need a Reliable printer? Look elsewhere, no durability here
I've had the HP Photosmart 7260 for about one year and have experienced similar problems: Cradle sticking, Paper jamming, etc. Envelopes never print straight.
5-0 out of 5 stars Don't know what everyone else is complaining about . . .
I have owned the 7260 for roughly 2 years, I use it as the primary photo printer for my photography business and have not had the experience that everyone else seems to be having.I think the main problem is that people are purching the 7260 for use as a document printer, which it is not.The name is very descriptive of the printer's primary function: PHOTOsmart.I have a second printer (HP deskjet 3850)for dedicated document printing.I have printed hundreds of pages with this printer with very few problems.
2-0 out of 5 stars Paper Eater
My girlfriend and I used this printer for less than a year before it began to give us paper troubles. It started by losing its alignment and then began to mangle the paper on its way through the printer. We both need to print plain boarding passes so you can imagine the trouble this causes when the scanners at the airports can't read the printed pass.We recommend that you pay a little extra and get a printer that isn't made to last a day longer than its warranty. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Canon printers rock!
I bought this in a fit of dispair after yet another battle of errors with my hideously expensive Epson printer-copier-scanner.The print quality on the Canon is just as good, and the function is better, as the Epson would take either no pages or 5 pages at once. And for all that the quality is good, Canon's not a ink-drinker, either.
5-0 out of 5 stars First Class Quality at Low Price
Replaced my Epson Photo Printer.Ink cartridge are readily available and dirt cheap.Epson was not as good.Cons:I find it a bit slow.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE IT!!!!!
I upgraded to this printer, from cannon 4400, was good deal on this printer, only takes 2 brands of ink, color 24 and black, very, very good in pictures, and I dont have to wait to download my pictures anymore, from kodak software that takes forever, and sometimes kodak softweare dosent work right.

4-0 out of 5 stars Ran a great race, but died in the backstretch
I bought this printer new almost two years ago.Great job on photos, good color, tack sharp images.Last week (while printing a text only job) the ink carriage jammed on the left side of the rail.I had to remove the top of the printer to free it.Ever since then, the printer is a wonderful door stop.Local repair/service types recommend, "Buy a new printer."The cost of repair vs. a new printer backs this up.My new Canon i9900 is a dream come true.RIP faithful HP 7350.

1-0 out of 5 stars Many Problems!
The Good:Photo quality is excellent
4-0 out of 5 stars Great looking photos time and again
I bought this printer over a year ago and have been printing photos and cards constantly.I use the 4x6 inch borderless photo paper with the tab the most and also print multiple 2x3s and 3x4s on the 4x6 paper. The quality of the prints has been just great.I print photos every weekend. This printer never disappoints me. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good printer ruined by print stickiness problem
I have had this for about a year - great looking results, especially if corrected and printed from a good software package. The stickiness problem seems insurmountable.I have tried several different papers and drying times up to 3 weeks, but they will always stick to photo album transparent material (have tried several brands).I wish HP would sought this problem out - also occurs with prints from other HP printer models. Finally bought a Cannon Selphy dye-sub printer which does not have this problem.

2-0 out of 5 stars Quantity not quality
At the time of purchase I was considering a few cameras.I not only considered the individual cost but also the price of paper and ink.At the time I thought that I had made the right choice by selecting the most cost efficient item. The printer is very easy to use and prints quickly. For quick prints where quality is not that important this printer is great. If you want quality pictures this printer does not even come close to its counterparts. My friend bought the Kodak printer the same day.Her printer is slower and runs out of ink faster but the prints are phenomenal. My prints come out more quickly but the quality is just not there even when set to all of the best options.I wish now that I had gone another route. The printer has just one color cartridge for all colors, however if you print a lot of one color (example pictures at the ocean) then other prints look oddly greenish or redish without the cartridge suggesting a change.I also have a problem with stickiness, I have tried both the premium HP paper as well as other brands and it comes out sticky. The pictures stick to my frames and scrapbook covers even after several hours of drying time. For quick pictures to pin on a bulletin board or give to kids this is great, but for memorable lasting photos this isin't the best bet.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed in NY
At first I loved this printer, it is simple to use and can be used alone or through your pc.Unfortunately the photos never dry.At first I thought it was because I either framed them or put them in an album before they had a chance to dry.I then printed some and let them sit out to dry for weeks and the photos never dried.Any photos that I have framed eventually stick to the glass, particularily the darker spots of the photo.I even got a new printer from HP and still encountered the same problem...has anyone else had this problem? (Yes I am using the correct HP paper and ink) ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad, bad, bad
I used this printer twice and kept getting "paper jam" although there was no paper in the printer.Had to send the product back.Wouldn't buy another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bargain, good pictures
Since I got my digital camera I'd just been saving everything to CD and not printing anything out because printing through a website gets so expensive!I'd rather just have my own little printer, as long as the prints are good. The prints from this are great, and although they smudge if you don't allow them enough time to dry, they are good quality.I can't speak to fading yet, because I've only had it a month, but so far so good!

4-0 out of 5 stars Does the job as described.
I bought both the HP Photosmart 230 and the Sony DPP-EX5 and both produced a high quality picture.About 98% as good as developed from a service on kodak paper. The 2% represents the finish (which is a bit sticky till it dries) and some pictures come out a hair light (which is actually a good thing if your pics come out dark).Either printer would do the job, I settled on the HP for the name and choices of paper and easy access to many accessories. You won't be disappointed with the results of the printer. It is worth the money. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Short lived
When it worked it was a great printer. It died on me 20 days out of the one year warranty.Won't print a thing now.If you buy this printer, better get an extended warranty.Canon has left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Canon i900D is an outstanding photo printer. I purchased this printer some months ago after comparing printers for awhile.
