5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice!
I bought this unit along with the Samsung 56" DLP TV.It came very quickly from Amazon (received in 2 days). It is excellent quality, exactly what I was expecting from a Sony.It setup very easy, I am running the HDMI Passthrough for both my HDCable Box and the Samsung HD960 unit as well. The setup of the device was extremely easy, easy to rename inputs and the theater setup wizard is very easy and works very well.
5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome ( Free Shipping from Amazon Didn't Hurt Either!)
Excellent product. It even comes with a calibration microphone that tests and calibrates all the speakers and lets you know if any of them is misplaced/out of range for optimum performance.
4-0 out of 5 stars Problems With Sony
Unit worked well. Remote was defective. Had to ship it at my expense with much paperwork and wait for return. This made receiver virtually useless. Received replacement and, you guessed it, same defect. More time with a useless home theater.

The iRiver 20 GB model H10 is the perfect portable digital player/recorder for true music and audio enthusiasts. 1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible - DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I have had this product for 9 months and it has not worked properly for 8 months.I have had one "return to company and they will fix it" and it came back worse than when it started. It would not play half of the songs I downloaded, even with the suggested low bit rate change per the company.I have to reset it to switch songs, to turn it off, to turn it on - basically to perform any function.I can only get customer service via their website, and it has been a never ending "have you tried....." despite the blatant fact that it should work the first time, simply, without a lot of reformatting and resetting.
5-0 out of 5 stars lots of love
The world now is very iPod-centric but the incredible sales of iPod players don't mean iPod is the best digital music player on market. For me personally there few better ones. iRiver H10 is one of them and here is why I bought it.
1-0 out of 5 stars UNhappy pappy
I could not be less pleased with this piece of electronic dung. Terrible software. Takes forever to find songs. when you skip a song it takes sometimes up to 30 seconds for it to play the next song. Freezes up constantly on me. I have to completely reset it. When I try to log onto Napster to go, it tells me I have the wrong player, so I have to reboot my computer then it will work. Also it fades into songs instead of playing them right away, you can hear the song slowly fade in. I hate this thing! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Where's the 7/5/2 alarm?
When I bought this T617S from Best Buys, their placard distinctly said it had a 7/5/2 dual alarm. I went to BB today to verify I'm not crazy and it DOES say it has the 7/5/2 Dual Alarm but there's nothing about that in the manual. One of the main reasons I bought this clock was so it would only go off on weekdays. I feel ripped off. Other than that, I really like this guy.
2-0 out of 5 stars Broke after a month, but it's a nice unit otherwise
Getting ready to send it back for warranty work. After just a month, the CD player pretty much stopped working all together. It sometimes will spin, play a little, then shut off.
5-0 out of 5 stars The ultimate -- don't listen to the whiners
I bought this clock for my daughter after reading the reviews with her of all the cd-rom alarm clocks on Amazon. All the features sounded incredable.Guess what -- they are! This clock is the ultimate, and she will probably keep it for most of her life. The nature sounds are great, the alarms are great, the sound quality is great, the MP3 input line and separate jack for headphones work great. We have had the clock for over 2 months now, and it was well worth the money. As for the negative reviews, take them with a grain of salt. There are whiners in every crowd. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Pleased my hard-to-please brother
I sent this radio to my very hard-to-please brother for his 65th birthday and he loves it! That's enough for me! I'll be getting one for myself now & keeping it in mind for other hard-to-please friends.

5-0 out of 5 stars Performs Perfectly
When I first got it I played it for about one hour a day to see how long the original charge would last. It finally went dead five days later. A short crank of maybe 20 seconds gave it about an hours worth of charge and playing time. A three minute crank and it was back up to playing for four to five hours. I couldn't be happier with it. I get every station that any other radio in my area gets and the built in flashlight is very intense. It's worth every dime I paid.

1-0 out of 5 stars It broke after 3 months
I bought this receiver in May 2006 (made in China....).
5-0 out of 5 stars Good budget receiver
The Teac AG-790A is a great budget receiver. It being used in my office, attach to 4 ceiling speakers. The sound is decent for the office use.The loud button increase the bass response in low volume. The binding post allows for banana plugs, so it's easy to connect to the speakers.I also hooked another set of Polk Audio M30 speakers. There's a speaker A and B switch. So now I can also enjoy music in my private office too.Overall, it's a good bang for the bucks.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stereo receiver at a low price.
This is my first Teac unit ever, and it replaced a vintage Pioneer receiver that granted me twenty-eight years of faithful service.I am quite pleased with this "old-fashioned" two channel receiver. It sounds great, is solid-feeling, and is easy to operate.Although I was somewhat wary to purchase a unit without the many "turning knobs" an old codger like me is accustomed to, the push-buttons on this model are easy to use and find even in the dark.I'm pleased to have a receiver with a remote and a sleep timer function.I doubt that this Teac (or any new-fangled receiver) will offer me twenty-eight years of service but I don't plan to be around that long anyway. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great MP3 alternative for little ones who want to be big!
I bought this for my 5 year-old for her birthday. She absolutely loves it and mastered the operation within minutes.Downloading stories from the website was a little tricky, but in the end was worth the time ($1.99 for most stories).Copying songs from CDs was the best feature. You can pick and delete the songs you want. You can even assign a picture to each song or to a collection of songs. For example, for High School Musical, I assigned a school bus; for the Aquamarine soundtrack, a starfish; Princess and the Pauper, a princess.Anyway, you get the idea. She also really likes the story reading function.I look forward to trying out the speaker/boom box accessory. The headphones seemed bulky to me, but my 5 year old loves how they fit and they don't slide off of her head!

5-0 out of 5 stars Sony KDL46S2000 46" BraviaGreat PictureA+++++
I am not sure what was one of the reviewer was talking about when it came to watching a VHS tape on the LCD TV, all I can say is that you can't put a crappy signal into a LCD and expect to get an high quality picture output. Know what you buy before you put a negative review. This LCD TV has a really sharp picture WHEN ITS USED WITH THE RIGHT SOURCE. I am very happy with mine. I would have liked to gotten the newer model that has more HDMI inputs as well as 1080P upgrades.

5-0 out of 5 stars sony, the one and only
yes, i was a little worried buying on the internet but boy was i wrong, amazon and eagle delivery service was awsome. The delivery service driver called me on wednesday and asked when would i like it delivered and i said friday a.m. i would be home,he was knocking on my door at 8:30 a.m. friday morning. It was great. As for the lcd tv, the hd stations and dvd's you couldn't get them any clearer,i mean unbelieveable. The non hd stations you need to play around with the settings abit but even those are as good as my regular sets in the house,no worse.Believe me i did my research before buying over a months time of reviewing and looking and talking to tech people and hi-end electronic stores and for the money, This set is the one.Very easy remote and set up,also very easy and quick to change the settings for different broadcasts in all formats so you get the best picture available. After a week i thought about a extended service plan and called sony and they sold me there plan which was less money than the one offered on amazon for a longer period with full coverage. Don't pass this deal up on amazon. You won't find a better one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best TV for the money
This Sony 46" LCD is the best HDTV you can get for the money.1080i is the best you can receive off the air - you really don't need 1080p unless you have Blue-ray or HD-DVD.This model delivers near-perfect video in normal 720p or 1080i HDTV format.Plus for 114 bucks you can buy the perfectly matched Sony DVPNS75H 1080i upconverting DVD player for high-res DVD playback as a great interim alternative to currently overpriced Blue-ray technology. So unless you have five grand to spend on a TV/DVD system go for this S-series model with the NS75H player.

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed customer
When we received the television, the stand was bent, therefore the television was leaning forward.Whenwe called sony to fix the problem under the in home warranty; we were told that it was damaged during shipping and that we would have to pay to have the part replaced. When we called amazon for the second time, we were told that we had to wait to receive an e-mail from the electronics department to see what they could do.This entire process has been very disapointing. After waiting over a month to receive the television and then being told that we had to pay to get it fixed has just left a sour taste for buying electronics online.

4-0 out of 5 stars Beware of Sony's HDMI
One of the attractions of this set is HDMI (High Def Module Interface). HDMI is currently defined as a single cable the transmits both Video and Audio. A very clean installation, via a single cable. However for Sony, for this set, you need a cable with a HDMI end that connects to the cable box, that then goes to a DVI connector (video only) on the Sony LCD, and THEN a separate audio cable. What a pain in the %#@%$#. Therefore no Digital Audio.

4-0 out of 5 stars Aspect feature undocumented limitation
Excellent set overall, but one misleading entry is in the manual which the factory confirmed to me is partly mistaken. The "wide zoom" feature for aspect control, magnifying etc., is shown with a separate panel entirely devoted to features applicable to high definition, wide screen sources. The manual fails to mention these functions work only on broadcast or cable tuner reception, and are not available on any external input, HDMI or component video -- such as a Sony high definition recorder for the broadcasts. The issue affects the extremely wide panavision movies which have to be rendered with horizontal black bars even on a 16:9 display to see the entire width -- which is how some are transmitted on HDNET for example (premium channels seem to adopt a full screen, pre-zoomed approach).Cable boxes have zoom features built-in which can expand these pictures, but the tv won't do it by itself, the way it handles low definition signals, and the very limited releases of early HD-dvd, blu ray players etc so far don't have it.The need for it is less with a wide screen to begin with, compared to old 4:3 screen format, but the pictures are shown almost 1/3 less than the vertical height of the screen.

4-0 out of 5 stars Build & sound quality
I have had four iRiver players so far: iFP-190, iFP-340, iFP-799 and T10. They are real keepers: 1) sound quality, 2) build quality, 3) AA bettery, 4) mini-USB (except iFP-190), 5) the good looking (of iFP-700 series). I ordered iAUDIO G3 once, tried for only a few hours, and then returned it.
2-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good Little Player, but Read Ad Closely
I had the iRiver 340 player for several years, and, except for the limited capacity, was quite pleased with it.When prices for gigabyte and larger players got reasonable, I began checking them out.
2-0 out of 5 stars Huge
The product information lists the measurements for this unit, but if you are like me measurements probably don't help you much. This MP3 player is huge. One reviewer wrote that it would easily fit in his hand or pocket, well so would my cell phone and guess what they are practically the same size.Compared to some of the Sony and Samsung units this thing is a Cadillac.

2-0 out of 5 stars Be careful please
I implore you to be very careful about your turntable purchase decision. This Sony table will not make the most out of your listening experience. It has very low quality playback (the stylus picks up more scratches than it does music), the included preamp is mediocre at best, and the belt drive is slightly off pitch. This was my first turtable purchase, and a much regretted one. After only a few years, the motor broke and played only at 45 rpm, necesitating another purchase. I understand what it is to be on a budget, and $60 is very tempting, but if you have to spend that every few years, it adds up fast. You will really be doing yourself a favour in the long run if you spend the extra money on a nicer one and eat raman noodles for a while. The Audio-Technica AT-PL120 direct drive turntable featured on this page is a far superior system, and will give you many more years of faithful service in addition to a much better listening experience. However, if $200 is far out of your reach, then this won't be a horrible table to whet your appetite for a while, and the average listener won't mind the difference in playback quality.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disposable turntable.
I bought this turntable and got a couple years use out of it, and while it worked, it worked. If you're buying something to use once in a blue moon, this one might do.But if you actually play your records, sooner or later, you'll need to replace the stylus.Or the cartridge.Either way, if you buy this one, you're out of luck. The diamond fell of the stylus on mine, and there doesn't seem to be anything that's replaceable. There's no removable cartridge like you'd find on any decent quality turntable manufactured in the 1980s. Now there doesn't seem to be anything to do with mine other than throw it in the trash. It wasn't terribly expensive--the whole turntable can be had for not a whole lot more than a good quality cartridge--so it's disposability isn't that big a deal from a strictly economic standpoint. But darn it, it just rubs me the wrong way.I'd rather pay a bit more to have something that I can still use ten years down the line than to save a few bucks on something that's going to end up in a landfill in a couple years.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great but not stackable :(
After listening to 7 or 8 vinyls I fell back in love with my old albums - but then after laying down and having to get up every 4 tracks to flip the discs - I recalled a time when I could stack 4,5,6,7,8,9...albums and they would drop and keep on playing - then you flipped them all over to hear the B-sides.I hate getting up.I don't have knobs on my TV (remember that UHF knob ugh!) to switch channels every 30 minutes, why would I want to get up right in the middle of a great series of albums?

5-0 out of 5 stars Sirius Satellite Radio:Sportster Replay
I love it.Never thought I'd enjoy Satellite Radio so much.My girlfriend has a factory installed system in her Jeep and would rather take my car with the Sportster receiver.Service was great.Received the packages very fast and in plenty of time for our beach vacation.

4-0 out of 5 stars Sirius is making radio fun again
I don't ever recall a time in which I was so excited about radio.I'm way too young to have experienced the golden age of radio, but the excitement of satellite radio brings images to mind of a time in which radio was something exciting, something to talk about. This is the new golden age of radio.
2-0 out of 5 stars Won't last - amazing this day and age
I bought my Sportster in December 2005.Here I am 8 months later to tell you that the display light doesn't stay on and flickers.I'm amazed that any electronic component today would have such a short life.It is hot here in Texas, but I rarely leave the power on when I'm out of the car.And when I do, its during short pop in visits to eat or grab groceries.I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the contrast was getting bad, making it very hard to read the display. Now with regularity, the light goes out which makes it impossible to see the display in the bright sun, or darkness at night.I'm getting a replacement, but do not expect it to last more than the first one.The Sirius service is excellent, and I highly recommend it and the type of pause and record features that are built into this radio. The next generation Sportster is out and looks great and also improves on the one thing I didn't like about this model. On the new one, you can program an artist and get the notification beep for any of their songs, not just the specific titles you save on this model. If this model goes out again, I will likely get into the new model and hope for better reliability.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very cute!!!!
I was so happy with my Creative Zen Nano that I bought one as a gift.I love the color choice and the sound is great.Love the pause button. It came with a protective case that attaches to the arm band. You do not need to buy one!!Amazon delivered it in 2 days!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for NetLibary
After a dissapointing trial of an iriver T10 which did not, to my dismay, handle NetLibrary books and would only play about 4 hours of a book and then re-set to zero(which they don't bother to mention on their website or in the manual), I returned the T10 and bought a Creative Zen Nano Plus. I've already finished a 7+ hour book from NetLibrary - No problems. Works great. It has less options than the iriver, but fast-forwards much faster - which is good if you fall asleep while listening to your book! If you want to listen to free audiobooks from NetLibrary and don't care about having a lot of extra features that you probably will never use anyway, it is a better way to go. Cute, easy to use, does the job. Volume is a bit on the weak side but I use a casset adapter in my car and can turn up the car volume. When listening at home the volume is fine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Good MP3 Player - but is it right for you?
I would have given Creative Zen Nano Plus (abbreviated "CZNP") 5 stars, except for two small deficiences: it does not have gapless playback (see #10 below), and the build quality and controls are kind of cheap (see #4 below).Assuming it lasts, it seems a very good unit for the money. Here's why I bought mine, and some questions to ask yourself when you're choosing.[Updated 8/28/2006]

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome little player and SUPER EASY!!!
This was the first MP3 player I have ever purchased.I will admit that the technology scared me slightly and I wasn't sure if I could use one of these with my computer which is about 5 years old. However, after talking to a friend and watching them play with their iPod, they assured me that they are easy to put music on through the computer. So I looked at iPods but didn't want to spend that much. Also, an advantage of this player is that you are able to play Windows audio files on it, in addition to mp3's.I ended up actually purchasing the e140 off ebay from someone who also included the matching Sansa FM transmitter so I can listen to it in the car also.I highly recommend the transmitter also. The sound quality is great in the car and is identical to the sound from the CD player! You can select any FM frequency and set 3 frequencies in memory.89.3 works fine in my area so I leave it there. Also, the e140 will run off the socket in the car and not use batteries when in the FM transmitter.I purchased the whole package for about $75 so I recommend looking at ebay first but be careful and review feedback on the sellers.I had no problems there.
1-0 out of 5 stars Unreliable...Stay away
I bought this item because I was looking for a low-cost, high capacity, Flash-type mp3 player with an expansion slot.I wanted a flash type so I could use it for other activities with minimal worry about damaging the player's moving parts.I had heard a lot of the Rio flash-players would turn into coasters, but nothing but good reviews about SanDisk players.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good player with expandible memory
I bought this player mainly because I did not want to be stuck with the small built in memory of the others. I already have a Creative ZEN Nomad with 60GB disk for many years where I carry ALL my music. However, I wanted to have something really small and solid state that I could take around all the time without risking hard disk damage. Having a spare 2GB SD card from my Canon camera, the Sansa E140 was the perfect choice. I am pretty satisfied with it, though I agree there is room for improvement.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great upscaling player for the price
Pros:
4-0 out of 5 stars It can do DTS passthru
With the latest Firmware upgrade, it can play DTS audio (DTS passthru). Only reason it has one less star is because it shows 8 digit name with funny ~ thru USB drive.

3-0 out of 5 stars Does NOT support any HD quality videos
it's great if you only want a DVD player that can play DVD quality videos (480p/30 or up to 4Mbps) and comes with HDMI, upconverting, and USB 1.1.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Unit
Received this unit and had it set up and operating in 20 minutes.Great picture with standard signal from Direct TV.Can't wait to see HDTV.This is the best name brand unit at 26" that I could find for less than $900.At $799 and free shipping it is the best deal around. As a prime customer, 1 day shipping cost a whopping $3.Paid for itself in one transaction.

2-0 out of 5 stars Does not handle SVIDEO inputs well.
I bought this tv so that I could upgrade to HD, but I also needed to play my recorded shows from my Replay TV which has a SVIDEDO and composite output. After purchasing the tv and hooking it up to my Replay via the SVIDEO input, the picture quality was poor with far to much pixelation. Tried all the different screen modes to no avail. Returned the tv the same day as I am not ready to retire my replay units. This tv may be fine for HD (which is the picture they have on display in the store), but if you are going to hook up older video equipment to it that outputs SVIDEO or composite video, you will be disapointed with the picture. The pixelation on these inputs becomes annoying whether you are 3 ft away or 6. I had much higher hopes for this tv.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for entry level: a technical review
This review is intended to be a little technical, so if you want an easy description of this TV, this would be it: it's a great TV with features most entry level LCD buyers are looking for: great contrast, decent response time, good color reproduction and an extensive jack panel including a FANTASTIC VGA PC connection.

5-0 out of 5 stars The best 32" LCD TV on the market
I conducted an extensive and exhaustive review of all 32" LCD TVs currently available prior to making my TV selection.I narrowed my choices to the following: the Panasonic TC-32LX60, the Samsung LN-S3251D, and the Sony KDL 32S2010.All had excellent pictures, realistic color rendition and a fine balance between contrast and depth of black level.I eliminated the Panasonic because it did not have a PC input port which I though long term would be something I would use more and more of.Also the Panasonic did not have the quality depth of blacklevel the others had.The Samsung was eliminated since the high gloss black cabinet finish reflected room lights and you could see window reflections as well. This became more and more of a distraction as I watched the TV since my eyes tended to be drawn to those reflections on the panel surrounding the screen. I ultimately decided to go with the latest 32" Sony -- the KDL 32S2010 and can now report I am completely pleased with it.One additional advantage of the Sony is that it has very easy to read, understand and navigate owner's manual.Setting up the TV was a breeze. As a final point, Amazon (via J&R) had the best price on the TV of any online site. ...
