5-0 out of 5 stars Just Excellent!
For my intended purpose, the Sony M37V is excellent.I walk twenty to thirty miles per week, and this unit provides superior musical accompaniment in a lightweight ergonomically designed package.I have a Sangean DT-200V (which is very good on local and fringe FM reception and fantastic for bedtime AM broadcast band DXing--I have heard stations in Fort Worth, Orlando, and Winnipeg from WNY) but it is too big and heavy to risk using while exercising.First I tried an analog-tuned Sony SRF-59.While the sound and the reception on FM was sterling, and slightly brighter sounding than digitally tuned units like the Sangean or M37V, it was a pain to find a new station with something I wanted to listen to every time a commercial break began and I found myself breaking stride struggling to adjust the controls of this otherwise excellent little radio (which I intend to repurchase in the future).I realized then that I needed something smaller with easily accessible presets, and after a visit to fixup.net which I came across while browsing the Portable Audio sub-forum at Head-Fi, I stumbled upon the M37V which seemed to fulfill all my requirements. The UPS man delivered it just today and after loading up its two banks of FM presets I took it out for its maiden voyage. It performed superbly.I put a snug fitting rubber band over my left bicep and carefully positioned the clip of the radio underneath it, then attached the radio itself. After hooking up my JVC Gumy earbuds I was in business and took advantage of today's crisp sunny autumn weather. With the M37V's five individual preset buttons, changing channels is a breeze, and I have no doubt that I will soon be able to do so by rote without even looking down at the radio. Some fringe channels have a non-objectionable level of hiss and periodically drop out, i.e. revert to mono, but not for long.Given the impoverished choices on the FM dial where I live, I am well pleased with this little gem's FM performance.Others have written that the M37V is also a capable performer on the AM band, but I haven't put it through its paces yet in that regard, nor on the TV or Weather bands (but it has been my experience that unless one lives close to a major city, TV and Weather band reception is spotty at best). The combination of the M37V and JVC's Gumy earbuds may not please an exacting audiophile, but should thrill the ordinary guy or gal.The M37V weighs just over three ounces fully loaded with a single alkaline AAA cell.Battery life is reputed to be very good, so even heavy users of this product may not find it necessary to purchase rechargeables. The symphonic level of sound that small quality units like this and the Sangean produce is utterly amazing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Distance Listening
I have had this radio for years. I'm completely happy with listening on any band with this radio. It has a recertion Quality that surprised me when tuning in distant stations.
4-0 out of 5 stars It Does What It Does
This is a decent radio for the casual user who just wants to hear music/talk radio without lugging around a larger device.

Finally, there's a way to burn vinyl to CD that doesn't require a computer or an engineering degree. 1-0 out of 5 stars Does the job, if you don't care about quality
As others have said, the quality of the turntable is really poor. I can't believe that a reputable company like Teac would turn out such a cheap quality product. The tone-arm is far too heavy on the record, and there is no way to adjust it. If all you really want to do is get your vinyl on to a CD, well, this will do the job without being too complicated; but at the cost of having good quality sound.
1-0 out of 5 stars I wish I could give zero stars!!!Save your time and $$$!
Like many others, I have a huge collection of L.P.'s and have been looking for an easy way to turn them digital.I thought this was the way to go.
1-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing
I set this up and recorded one of my LP's on a CD. (Caution: It requires special audio CD's not the usual computer CD's.) The CD played on the TEAC machine, but not on any of the 3 other CD players I have in the house. And I couldn't load any of the tracks onto my Ipod. Sending it back for something else. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great System for the Price
I had just purchased the Samsung HL-S4666W 46" DLP HDTV and I felt I needed a surround sound system to go with it.However, I didn' have thousands to spend, and I needed to get a progressive scan DVD player too. This system answered all my problems at once.
4-0 out of 5 stars Nice Mini System for the price...
I recently purchased this system for my living room.It performs really well for my needs.Surround sound is great and DVDs look awesome on a Sony XBR970 tv.Two things I don't like.1.)Auto calibration mic was pretty inaccurate determining speaker setup and 2.) cheesy speaker cable out of the box.

1-0 out of 5 stars Awful Awful, not the first time Sony product dies
I used this product, maybe 5 times, and it completely died 13 months after I purchased it. It was stored in 1 place the entire time, never moved, never dropped, never abused. And it dies. I then attempt to take advantage of the Visa "double your warranty" extended warranty coverage, only to be told that because I used my online "Amazon' gift certificate to pay for a portion of this product, that this excludes the extended warranty. So I toss out a brand new looking Sony product.
1-0 out of 5 stars Useless
A clock radio without a battery back up?I can't believe Sony would not have this feature.Even the cheapest clock radios have this. Info states if electric is out for more than 1 minute your settings will be gone.Another feature missing is no headphone plug. For $60.00 this is a waste of money.

2-0 out of 5 stars Mine died
I most always prefer Sony products and aside from not being able to read the time during the night I was pleased with the Dream Machine. It's compact body fit easily on a bedside table and the sound was not bad. However, it died during the day the other day...nothing that I did. It was fine when I got up and when I went to bed it was dead just as if the plug had been pulled. I have plugged it into a couple different outlets and it is dead. I've only had it a year. So disappointed. The Sony dealership charges $89 an hour for service. Not very ecological if I have to go buy a new alarm/music system. I would expect it to last more than a year, coming from Sony. ... Read more

Audio-Technica's AT-PL120 direct-drive, high-torque professional turntable is perfect for DJs and other music enthusiasts, especially in an era that many would call "postvinyl," when it's no longer the norm for audio/video receivers or even integrated amplifiers to offer a dedicated phono input. A selectable internal stereo phono preamplifier lets you plug the turntable directly into any line-level input, even your PC's (when used with a stereo RCA to minijack "Y" adapter cable, not included). Alternately, you can use the player's phono output and an outboard, higher-quality phono preamplifier for even better sound quality.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible deal-don't miss out on this!
First of all, let me say that I am a very discerning music listener, and have always talked of the superiority of vinyl to all other music playback mediums. This turntable is by far the best you can get on a budget, surpassing many far more expensive than it in both sound quality and options. If you are considering buying a less expensive table, please do yourself a favour and stop. You will only be subjecting yourself to poor quality sound, and even worse craftsmanship as most tables under $200 will only last you a few years at most (I know from experience, unfortunately).
5-0 out of 5 stars Super craftmanship
I've been impressed with every facet of this machine...quiet, easy to operate, and great reproductive sound. I am in the process of transforming all my LPs to CDs so I use this baby nearly every day. Don't see how anyone could be disappointed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Terrifice value - excellent sound quality
I purchased this turntable with the express purpose of converting my large collection of LP's to digital format. This seemed to be the best quality offered from its description for the price.I can tell you that I am not dissapointed at all.The manufacture is excellent, the platter is solid, and the sound reproduction right out of the box surpassed my expectations.Setup was fairly easy. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that this is a completely manual turntable so you have to lift the arm manually at the end of the record. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Lower Your Expectations
I bought this DVR DVD recorder with high expectations.Previously I had a pioneer dvr dvd recorder with Tivo and it was a real workhourse.I used it for two years without a problem.I decided to upgrade to the panasonic for several reasons.HDMI output was one; also if the TV Guide programing work as well as Tivo, I would save 12.99 a month on Tivo fees. Also I might mention that I have an excellent skill level with hooking up my home theatre equipment.First I must mention that the instuction booklet must be the worst ever written. This unit is theoretically capable of many operations.I would venture to say that the instruction booklet was written for a product engineer to decipher.I could not get the TV Guide programing to function no matter how many calls to panasonic tech support and each time you must shut down the unit for 24hrs to reset the TV Guide. It would not record from my SD card onto the Hard Drive as it is supposed to do, it would not read my SD card.It cconstantly changed channels while viewing and on occasion when manually programmed to record a specific channel at a specific time would record a differnt channel.I finally had to throw in the towel, it was just taking to much energy to deal with this unit.I was within the grace period for a return and shipped it back a wiser and more experienced person.I will replace it with a Tivo unit which unfortuneately won't have an hdmi output but after the panasonic debacle I have lowered my expectations.

1-0 out of 5 stars DirectTV HD satellite buyers beware!!!!!!
After 3 phone calls to Panasonic, they finally told me that this unit will not set up TV Guide if you have a DirectTV HD satellite receiver. They tell me that TV Guide is working on fixing this problem, but no timetable was given. Also, it will not record HD quality programming even if you bypass the TV Guide to record HD programming. No where is this explained or noted before you purchase this item.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best of both Worlds....
Just received and started to use this recorder. So far it combines the best of HDD and DVD recording.

4-0 out of 5 stars excellent mount, terrible masonry bolts
the mount is excellent.easy to adjust on the wall, minimum space required, ample hardware for different tvs, low price.BUT if installing onto masonry (i.e., grout between bricks on fireplace), do NOT use the supplied bolts and expanding toggles.they do not work (i now have 4 extra holes in my wall).i used tap-con screws, which have an odd but effective design to hold in masonry.they can be screwed into and out of the masonry multiple times and retain grip (not tear out grout).

4-0 out of 5 stars Haven't Installed Yet.....But Transaction Was Flawless
I haven't installed this as of yet, but the transaction and delivery was perfect.Shipment arrived earlier then posted all instructions and hardware were included correctly and product was in perfect shape.I couldn't be happier, I will be purchasing a 27" LCD mount as well.I let everyone know how they install, which looks quite simple.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wall Mount
This wall mount is excellent.Don't be confused by the description however. The "horizontal" adjustment is linear, in other words it moves lateraly from side to side rather than rotates. But, this is a good feature if you have to locate studs to get a proper mount. You can adjust the mount to hit the studs by the many mounting holes and then move the screen to adjust to the center. Also, the package of bolts for connecting the flat screen should be tested in the flat screen mounting holes to make sure that you have the right bolts. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Solid LCD Performer
Got this a week or so ago for a great price through Amazon and one of its partners. The picture quality is fantastic in both HD and SD.I've been really impressed with how it handles SD, especially since a lot of HD TVs make it look like crap.
5-0 out of 5 stars Stunning!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great radio
This is a great radio for getting weather reports. The display is lacking if you want to use this radio for a bedside radio. It took me a little time to get it set up (reducing the number of watchs/warnings I wanted the radio to alert to).Entering the SAME code was not a problem.I highly recommend if you are looking for a radio to let you know when the next storm is coming.A few "cosmetic" changes (better display, ability to turn beeping off) would get this radio to 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars First Weather Radio
This is the first weather radio we have owned.I found it easy to program and set up.It has every available feature/watch/warning that a homeowner could need or want.My children 8 and 5 feel a great comfort during tornado season knowing that we can access the most accurate weather information in an instant.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Weather Radio, could be improved as a clock radio
This is a great weather radio, one of the best. The SAME technology coupled with the ability to enable or disable many of the alert functions ensures the radio wakes you up when you really want to be alerted, rather than for every alert the Weather Service issues.

4-0 out of 5 stars lot of features in small package
I've owned a Zen Nano for a couple of months and it has been a fun little gadget. I was surprised to find the FM radio tuner to be reasonably sensitive for something with no external antenna, it pulls in a lot of stations. It turns out that you don't have to even bother installing the software CD that comes with it onto your computer. When you plug the Nano into a USB port it looks just like a flash drive, you can see it in Windows Explorer and simply copy songs directly onto it and manipulate the files any way you want. That's very handy. You can delete songs from it using the jog wheel if you get tired of them. Sound quality is good, battery life is also good.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Unit I've Tried for Listening to Radio Talk Show Files
I just bought the Zen Nano Plus, and am thrilled with it.It has pretty much everything I've been looking for, to suit my narrow purposes (listening to downloaded radio talk shows and other speech-based programs; plan to also use audio books in the future).I've found no other unit of comparable price and size that meets all my requirements. The BEST part, for me, is the fact that it will scroll backward or forward through a track quickly, AND it will "resume" where you left off. I haven't found any other machine in its class that will do BOTH.Here's my rundown:
1-0 out of 5 stars No reset button, Nano Plus died
I've used the Nano intermittantly.I use my big Creative Zen player (30 gig) most of the time, and I'm very happy with it.I joined a gym and wanted a smaller player to listen to while excercising, thus the Creative Zen Nano Plus.Originally I had no problems. However, recently I unplugged the device after syncing it to my computer.Since then the Nano will not turn on.Changing the battery hasn't made a difference. No screen display at all.

I bought this on Amazon about 5 weeks ago and am satisfied with it.The display is big enough to read the channel # from across the room. The remote is easy to use, although it works the volume but not the channels on my 8 yr old TV so I must have the VCR on and use it's tuner to watch TV (TV remote lost).the knob on the box, rather than buttons to rw and ff, is odd, but works. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I'll be moving my stereo to the basement
In the spirit of full disclosure, I have to confess that I'm not an audiophile. I'm a music fan, and I'm definitely not the type to be more into his stereo than the music he plays on it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Happily surprised
I recently purchased the Apple Hi-Fi Stereo inorder to have high quality sound for vacations, outdoor picnics and special events. We ended up using this system as the sole house music system for our children during a move. The quality of sound, the volume available and the ease of use were amazing and well beyond what I expected in this "portable" system.I would highly recommend it. On my wish list, I would like to see a black version and a padded travel case for protection and ease of traveling.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great sound, but an FM tuner would be nice
Other than the lack of an FM tuner--no complaints. Great sound, solidly built. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars definitely worth the money
I bought this toshiba portable dvd player yesterday and think it's a great buy, based on four hours of continuous use.
5-0 out of 5 stars So far, so good, great value
This is my first portable DVD player that I have purchased. It has all the bells and whistles I need, including an 8" widescreen format to enjoy mini theater like video while on the go.I have seen other views fixated on "do not use in a moving vehicle", but I think that is meant to be "don't watch while driving", poorly translated to english. This works fine while moving and in the backseat, and properly secured. This Div-X certified, DTS, Dolby, THX,...ect, plays almost anything you throw at it.It also has build in MMC/XD/SD/Memory stick slot built right into the front, so you can see a nice slide show of family photos prior to returning home. The battery is a bit bulky, but fits nice and flat to the back and bottom of the unit, and has a reasonable life (4 hours). This comes iwth AV mini cable adapter, AC adapter, Car adapter, slim remote, and battery pack. I do see a possible inconvenience of having to send this back to the vendor for work, but I recieved this as a gift, and that is fine by me.An extended warranty was not available where purchased, so this was the option anyway.Overall, picture quality is great, sound is adequate, but with 2 headphone jacks, there is no fighting to hear the sound. This has video in and video out and optical audio out...so it can be hooked into a big tv/stereo system. Finally, very light unit, 1.9 lbs without battery, very portable.Worth checking out, I'm happy, and I think you will be too.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good Portable DVD player
T. Tom wrote an excellent review. This is indeed a great player and the best I've found in this price range. I just want to add one tidbit of information that I wish I could find out before buying the unit.
