4-0 out of 5 stars Great Sound
Very small and light with BIG, big clear sound. My only complaint so far is that it's a bit hard to find the song you want. You pretty much have to scroll a lot.Even so, the sound is great -- both on MP3s and FM.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great little product with plenty of space
I first got a Sony MP3 player back with the Mini-Disc player and them moved on to the 1gig MP3 player because of the promise to hold 695 songs (4min songs compressed to Sony's Altrac3 at 48bits).Sure enough I was able to get just over 600 songs on that player (hey, I had about 12 songs that were 10+minutes).It was easy to use and even the Sony software was pretty easy to use once I figured it out.
4-0 out of 5 stars Sleek with a few negative things
I have been using Sony sonicstage for more than a year with the NW-HD5 and the black bean. I do not have a problem with the software. It is faster than itunes to rip cd's and the altrac quality is very good. In blind listening tests with 3 people everyone said the Sony sounded better at 64kbps that an Ipod at 128 kbps.

Editorial Review

Bulky stereo systems are fast becoming relics of an earlier century, especially with speakers such as Sony's SRS-P11Q on the market. These passive speakers are designed to connect to a portable audio system, such as a CD Walkman or MP3 player, yet still deliver the same clear, vivid tones as much larger speakers. In the meantime, the 2-1/4-inch speaker bodies fit unobtrusively on a bookshelf, dresser, or desk, and also store compactly in a backpack or suitcase when on the move. The speakers are lightweight and distinctive, with circular shapes and small bulbous feet that keep them from tipping over. Listeners with a flair for accessorizing will appreciate the interchangeable white and silver faceplates, which lets people match the speakers to their players.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Not for everyday use, traveling ok, slightly larger than expected, but overall good for price.
I was looking for portable speakers for traveling, I couldn't find the dimensions for the product anywhere and they are larger than I expected about 3.5in x 3.5in each, they do not get very loud, but if you have high quality files on your ipod then the sound is adequate or loud enough for a small room. I do wish there was a control on the speaker that could adjust the sound, however for under $12 these are a good deal and require no batteries or to be plugged into an outlet...just plug into audio device headphone jack. Do NOT buy if you like to blast music or to use as main source of speakers. For really good speakers I suggest the apple creatures, those are fantastic, small and very clear, not portable though.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, low-volume speakers
I bought these speakers to use in the storage vault at the museum where I work. They don't require batteries, which is the best part. They are tiny--very easy to move around and use in different rooms. They do not have a high volume level, which is great for work, but perhaps not so good for people who want to rock out at home. They are working exactly as I had hoped, though, and I would buy these again.

4-0 out of 5 stars good for just relaxing
sony's speakers works really well with the ipod but the sound does not go really loud. very convient to carry around and they are really cute. ... Read more

The picture is great even at daylight. You can hook it up to your DVD player and enjoy a real movie experience right at home. The repalcement bulbs are cheaper than other brands. This is a great buy.
5-0 out of 5 stars This projecter Is AWSOME
First things first this projector will give you the same picture quality of a $1500.00 - $2000.00 projector. It is durable and looks great in my living room. I get an awesome picture in the day time and even better at night. The fact that the picture is good in the daylight makes this a wonderful buy. Any projector you find with 2000 lumens and a contrast ratio of 2000:1 that is under $800.00 is a steal. Acer is an off brand but they deliver top quality. The best part is you HD TV and movies at a fraction of the cost. My wife and I love playing Xbox 360 on 9-foot screen there is nothing like HD video games. Most HD TV's start at $800.00 for a 27 inch which will burn out or get dead pixels in 2 -3 years with a projector like this one you start with a low cost with great value and if the bulb goes out after about 4,000 hours /166 days of straight use with out cutting it off replace the bulb for $150.00 - $200.00 bucks and you still save over a HD TV. Once again my Xbox 360 games look better with this projector than any HD TV I have ever seen them on. All I can say is WOW. HD up to 1080i 1080p (grapes to grape juice) is over rated any way. It also comes with a cool carrying case and all of the adaptors you need but hdmi.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible
This is definitely the best CD player, which I have ever used. It is a great advantage as well that it plays MP3. The design is very stylish and attention-grabbing, the quality oif the sound is excellent and the price is fine. I am proud to be an owner of this player.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best one yet!
This portable cd player is my 3rd Panasonic cd player in 5 years. All are of awesome quality with excellent sound but this one is the best one yet! The 3-D second stage sound effect is quit impressive along with the extra-bass+ affects. ( I only wish thay could have included "Train" another Panasonic innovation which vibrated the headphones with boosted bass, impressive man!) Controls are extremely easy to master and the overall size of this unit appears to be a little smaller than the Sony units and it has 3-time the features! I love the adjustable hand hand grip. If portable CD players don`t have this feature thay are pretty worthless. Would I buy another Panasonic portable Panasonic CD? Count on it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth The Price!!
I knows the in-thing now are I-pods but for my convenience and simply because I enjoying listening to 60 and 70's folk and bluegrass, the Shockwave was worth the price. The delivery was fast, which didn't surprise me. The clarity is first rate. I've dropped it a few times (not on purpose) and found it to be a tough item. Some of the otheer comments concerning the earphones made me wonder if I would have to invest in some expensive extras, but I found that it won't be needed. I recommend it to any walkers/joggers or amateur writers who like to listen to good music while they're creating. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome for college!!
No more buying, finding, or losing tapes for college classes. This awesome digital recorder w/ music player is very good.It comes with the software and usb cord to upload and save your college lectures on your computer. You can claim this for tax deduction as an educational expense.I used this digital recorder for my history class and it blocks out noise.Supreme sound from this small but powerful tool for college students. Sometimes professors talk too fast, you just wanna get what he said in his lectures. You forget the whole lecture. You can slow the lecture down on your computer by downloading it.I love it because it doubles as a music player too.No more buying cds or carrying a cd player and tape recorder.I download music from limewire for free and put it into my music player.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Choice
I spent a great deal of time reviewing similar products. This product exceeded my expectations. It is used for security and the sound is excellent. The battery life and storage capacity are a more than enough. The docking station is perfect. It does not even require software.Put the batteries in, set the date & time, and I was rolling.I highly recommend this product.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Student's Side-kick
If you're a student and you don't use a DM-20, your missing out. This recorder can record, non-stop, right through those 4 hour summer classes in HQ.You can archive lectures to your pc, burn them to cd or upload to an ipod. How about using the software to edit out the dead spaces on the recording?Try that with a tape recording.

5-0 out of 5 stars Single Cable HDMI and other Incredible Features
This unit has a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) that allows the user to interface with a video monitor or TV with an HDMI input. HDMI uses a single cable to transfer an uncompressed pure digital A/V signal. This unit also supports Component, Composite, S-Video and RF interfaces which makes it virtually compatible with any TV. This is incredible. It also plays standard DVDs, DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, and DVD+RW, Audio CDs, VCD/SVCD, CD-R/RW discs with MP3 music or JPEG picture files. The VCR side features time recording in SP or EP speeds. It also plays back tapes recorded in SP, LP and EP speeds and will also play back S-VHS tapes in quasi S-VHS mode. This unit utilizes four 19-micron video heads which optimize EP recording. It also has a very fast flash rewind. The DVD side does not have picture zoom but that is of little consequence because this player is designed for use with HD monitors. This is one of the best DVD-VHS Combination Units I have ever seen.

3-0 out of 5 stars Eh, so/so
I've worked with better walkies in the entertainment industry - these rate so/so.The real problem was with the headset which had to be purchased seperately. For some reason, the walkie kept goinginto VOX mode without warning.Had to shut them down, turn them back on again, and hit the talk button to take it out of VOX mode. The instructions give no real instruction on turning OFF the VOX mode when used with a headset.Reception is good, range is ok for small venues.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for ski trip

4-0 out of 5 stars Great SW radio that could be better
This is the best SW radio you can buy for under $150 but it does lack a few features that would have made it the best radio ever. Since this radio picks up shortwave it would be nice to know what meter band you are on. This radio does not display the band, only the frequency. Tuning the radio is another problem since it doesn't have a knob, only buttons. The Kaito 1103 is a superior radio because of these features and matches the performance of the Sony except maybe for bringing in distant AM stations. It also costs less. I have both radios but I use the Kaito much more.

4-0 out of 5 stars A portable receiver packed with the most features available.
I owned this general coverage receiver for 9 months. It is high quality. It is full of features crammed in the smallest possible package for portability. The sound is good. The AM/SW reception is much better compared to my older 9 band analog Sony shortwave receiver ICF-4920. I must add that the sound coming from the smaller speaker in the older ICF-4920 is more impressive. Anyway, the 7600GR's FM reception is outstanding. In thick walled buildings, I recommend using the spool antenna, that is included with the radio, for improved FM reception. The first thing I did after I acquired the 7600GR was to get a good 120V wall adapter for continuous use. Knowing the available adapter was inadequate for clear reception, I snatched a discontinued Sony AC-E60L adapter, which supplies 6V DC at 650mA, and works well with the 7600GR. Alkaline batteries do not last very long in the 7600GR.
4-0 out of 5 stars Does not catch other countries as promissed

5-0 out of 5 stars The best 50 inch plasma at the best price
I sent a month reading reviews and in circuit city and best buy looking at plasmas. The samsung had the best picture and best setup.Amazon had the best price--shipping included and no sales tax--beat CC by $800.Ordered on a Wend and had it in one week.Shipping service was phenomenal. Not one problem.Had the set set-up and on in an hour and haven't left the couch since. Samsung and Amazon both get 5 stars!

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good plasma TV for the money
After shopping for several months I finally took the plunge and purchased this TV from a national chain.I finally decided plasma over DLP because of the vertical fading effect I saw with all the DLP sets. I took two of my own DVDs in to the store with me and made the staff there hook up a player so I could see both the fast action of The Matrix and the beautiful scenery of Spring, Summmer, Fall, Winter, Spring. The picture on the Samsung HP-S5053 was the second best of the many plasmas that I examined. The Pioneer had a better picture but was significantly more expensive.I do not use the built in speakers because I had an existing 5.1 speaker system.I really like theminimal black casing since the silver finishes are distracting-at least to my eye.
5-0 out of 5 stars Bang for the buck is definitely with this one
I bought this model in June from a local appliance store.I did lots of shopping... well over 4 weeks of going to stores and playing with the settings in a lot of them; and there are a couple of issues to be aware of.One is that when you are using the 4:3 mode on the TV to view 4:3 content the sidebars are silver... which is annoying and cant be changed... HOWEVER, if you use an HD-upconverter type DVD player with HDMI that goes away since aspect is changed by the DVD player. The other issue is that its only 1080i, which frankly is not a big deal, especially considering most HDTV this large under $5000 are as well.I was borrowing a 42" 3rd generation Dell plasma with about a 4000:1 contrast ratio from my company while i was shopping, and was really unhappy with the muddiness of darker onscreen areas of that tv, but I have to say this one looks GREAT.You can notice some muddiness if you have your contrast set too low and the picture quality of the DVD is poorly lit, buuuut honestly I keep mine set around 55% and it looks awesome.Of course with a plasma you dont want the contrast set to high if you want it to last longer and always avoid falling asleep to a dvd menu if you want to avoid burn in, but if you accidentally fall asleep (i did), it comes with a burn in erasing rolling pattern which is a really big comfort to the mind. Not to mention its a very sexy piece of furniture when not on.I can't speak for its sound system, because if you are spending 3 grand on a tv, you really should have a nice sound system and mute the tv anyway.I would recommend buying a plasma from a local appliance store for quite a few reasons... but chief among them people on here seem to be getting them smashed in transit frequently, which a local store is not going to let happen, and if it DID happen, you would avoid the nightmare I'm sure that has got to be.The only TV I saw that compared to this one was a Panasonic that was running over $1500 more expensive, and it did look nicer... but only about 100 dollars nicer.Of course there is a certain subjectivity to this, but if you read about non-defeatable DNIE or whatever and are nervous about this set, simply go out to somewhere they have them and play with the features and settings. The people that complain about this seem to not be going through the options. All you have to do is see it side by side with about any other plasma and it'll win you over. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Nice alternative
I couldn't afford the DSM-520 from DLink, and my family still used VHS (very retro). I saw this, and the DivX label caught my eye. So I bought it. Then I looked at the reviews, which were scant and negative. I decided to open the box and set it up so I could add a review for others.
1-0 out of 5 stars If you plan to use this for more than 6 months, don't buy
I bought two of these units, exactly one week apart.I liked the first one so much, I bought a second one for the family room.6 months later, almost to the day, the DVD drive on the first unit stopped working (I had to take the thing apart to extract the trapped DVD).One week later, on the second unit, the VHS tray began seeing a tape even though none was loaded which meant I couldn't load a real tape. So, 6 months after buying two combo units, I now have one DVD player and one VCR. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Worth every penny
This is a great machine that has saved many discs!I typically use the liquid scratch repair kits, but sometimes they are just not enough.Keep in mind, this is not a 1,000 dollar machine and will not save discs that have very severe grooves.Overall, it has more than paid itself off.

1-0 out of 5 stars Didn't work and Amazon will not allow return!
Beware -- Amazon DOES NOT allow returns on this item, supposedly due to it containing "flamable materials".I would never have bought this if I had know that!
5-0 out of 5 stars Works
I bought my machine around May of last year, and since then it's still kickin.I have had no problems with this machine yet, and it seems to be doing just as it says. Some of my cd's that were "beyond the point of no return" were fixed with this interesting device. It even leaves a circular disc pattern on the back of the disc which looks a lot better then those deep scratches. The one drawback is how expensive the refill's are, but if you only use this a few times a year you should be set.

3-0 out of 5 stars 10 Mile Range - Yah Right
The four units I purchased served the intended purpose just fine. Easy to use and set up. We were on the road 600 miles, three vehicles, one being a 26 foot rental truck. Keeping in touch was a must and they worked just fine. However, the claim of a 10 mile range is ludicrous to say the least. Uniden must have tested the range with one on top of Mt. Everest and the other on another nearby mountain top. Battery life is poor to ridiculous even on low power. Smart move is to carry an extra 20-pack of AAA's.

4-0 out of 5 stars NOT A BAD DEAL
AT THE TIME THAT I BOUGHT THESE, IT CAME OUT TO 12.00 PER UNIT (24.00 FOR THE PAIR) VERY GOOD DEAL...AMAZON ADVERTISES THAT IT COMES WITH CHARGING UNITS AND IT DOES NOT.BE VERY CAREFUL.I HAVE COMPLAINED AND IT STILL SAYS IT ON THE WEBSITE FOR 2WEEKS NOW. APART FROM THAT -ITS A PRETTY NICE UNIT, RECEPTION IS FINE (NOT 10MILES THOUGH) ABOUT 1-2 MILES ON A BUSY HIGHWAY..BATTERY LIFE IS POOR.. WITH CONSTANT USE, YOU CAN GET ALMOST 1 DAY OUT OF IT. 4 AAA BATTERIES.THE RECHARGABLE UNIT IS A MUST..BUT FOR 12.00 PER UNIT - NOT MUCH ROOM TO COMPLAIN. ... Read more

I have had this MP3 player for 1 week it works good and very easy to use.Battery life is great, and it is easy to navigate. This is my 2nd Sandisk MP3 player, I purchased this one because the other was only 512mb.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good unit for the price!
I have owned three other Sandisk MP3 players and had no problems with any of them. Some of the issues in other reviews here can be solved by reading the manual.

4-0 out of 5 stars Coby delivers more bang for the buck
This Coby product is the third of their product line I have purchased, and each time I have been impressed with what you get for the price.I needed a tape and CD player that was portable, and although it's no BOSE, it has plenty of good features and delivers what's promised.Excellent tape handling mechanism, and the CD on top has a secure button latch that actually works, unlike many I've seen. This is not for the serious audiophile, but for the rest of us -- buy it!

3-0 out of 5 stars The cord is in the battery compartment.
The other reviews indicate that the cord is not with the boombox. I called the company and they tell me it is in the battery compartment.

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not last...
CD player stopped working after two months of ownership, it was playing a cd and puff, that was her last one. Also, very troubling for me: I left the powercord at my sister's house and could not find a replacement at any of the usual shops; it takes a special fitted powercord. The radio receiver is also weak, it changes depending on where I sit or walk in the room. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing radio performance
I really expected to like this boombox, but I was disappointed almost immediately, because the radio tuning isn't selective.
5-0 out of 5 stars "Heavy Duty"doesn't do this thing justice.
The darn thing IS built like a tank and sounds great. It's perfect for a construction worksite.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST ALL AROUND BOOM BOX
I had been searching for a portable CD player with AM/FM tuner that could also play MP3 CDs with R/RW compatibility and a line in jack for my ipod and NO "space wasting" tape player.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's ok but...
I really like this so far. It's small, has great sound, more than enough storage space, and has some modes. My one problem is that I can't get the software to translate my words on to text accurately. That was the main reason that I bought this particular product...hopefully I'll figure out how to make it translate better.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great IC recorder with voice editing and text feature
I received this Panasonic IC recorder with USB terminal on 8/11/06.I am a happy and pround owner of this IC recorder. This is the most advanced IC recorder I could have found at this price range of $53 to $60.My research paid off. It came with a detailed instruction manual, USB terminal, and voice editing software CD-ROM.This voice editing software can transform voice recording to text messages and can translate English to Spanish, German, Italian, and French and vice versa.

Editorial Review

A favorite of audiophiles everywhere, the AudioSource Amp 100 two-channel power amplifier is built to deliver powerful music, pure and simple, with few extra controls to get in the way. Listeners can use the Amp 100 as an independent stereo amp (50 watts x 2 into 8 ohms) when used with a preamp, as a second zone amplifier in multi-room applications, or as a rear-channel amplifier in a 6.1- and 7.1-channel system. Combine the Amp 100 with an additional monoblock amp (the Amp 100 delivers 150 watts RMS of bridged power) and a preamp and listeners can independently drive two front left/right speakers or two rear speakers, further clarifying each channel to create dynamic, high-end sound. To connect additional components to the amp, use the included stereo inputs with automatic priority override (for connecting to a source such as a receiver, CD player, or preamplifier) or the auxiliary output for creating a multi-amp setup.Read more

  • 2-channel 100-watt (50 watts x 2) power amplifier (provides 150 watts RMS bridged mono power)

  • Pair of stereo inputs with priority override; A/B speaker selector allows multi-room amplification

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for retail space
I bought this item to use as a reciever to go with my XM satellite in a small retail space. It works exactly as I needed it to

5-0 out of 5 stars Genius Product
The reason I bought this amp was similar to another customer - I wanted something to use with my iPod so I could hook up speakers of my choosing. I didn't want/need a big-bucks home theater receiver with all the gizmos. The amp works a treat, it is solidly built and very low profile - fits in a small cabinet. Interestingly enough, I had the exact same problem with the amp switching - you actually hear it switch over if you have any silent phases in a song playing on the iPod.....was bugging me till I read the other customer's review....simply changed the input from Line 1 to Line 2 - works a treat now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid product!
I had the reported switching problem ("UPDATE: This device has one annoying defect ... a "clever" feature of switching inputs automatically when it senses no input on one of the two stereo inputs ... any stretch of silence will cause it to switch"). I called AudioSource and I have to give them credit. The problem is relatively easy to solve by using Input 2 instead of Input 1 if you're only using one input. ... Read more

Samsung raises the bar again for LCD technology with its 32-inch LN-S3292D HDTV, which provides a high performance, large format LCD that also includes an integrated HDTV tuner as well as connectivity options for your PC and portable digital audio players. It has a glossy, piano-black cabinetry with a space-saving bottom-mounted speaker design. Additionally, the stand can be removed for wall-mounting via optional VESA compatible hardware. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Samsung all the way!
The LNS3292D has excellent features while keeping you and your wallet full. Really quickly, the LNS3292D has: 5000 to 1 contrast ratio (the higher the better), a wide viewing angle (you don't have to sit dead center), 8 millisecond response time (the lower the better, 8ms is average for a good TV), S-PVA panel (Industry leaders Sony and Samsung teamed up to create a high performance LCD panel. The S-PVA is it, and this TV's got it), Game mode (Samsung and Microsoft also worked together to create the proper performance tweaks needed for today's high definition games. My Xbox 360 games look like someone passed a bunch of Photoshop filters over them. Awesome!) All this and more for under 1300? Sweet! The only negative things are: Remote Control (is really generic so don't throw away those originals) Custom Color Settings Memory (only one custom setting so you have to make a choice good enough for all inputs.) 1 Component input (would have liked to see two.) Please note these are minute details and should only bother the video/audiophiles. If you are an entry level HDTVer like me and want to make a big splash into high def without breaking the bank, this is it. The time is now, reward yourself. You deserve it. Go with Samsung, go with the LNS3292D and get more enjoyment out of your television. I did and I don't regret it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great 37" LCD 1080p
You might be interested to know the exact width is 36&9/16".The picture is bright even at mid backlight and brightness settings.I am more than pleased with its black levels and white contrast. It also has minimal loss in picture quality at extreme viewing angles.Glare from my room light is not as noticeable on this set as it was on my last TV. This TV has a very good upconverter.I supply it 480i, 720p, & 1080i through its HDMI input and even the 480i looks better than it did on my old 32" Samsung CRT TV. I actually prefer to watch 480i content on a non-HD station because the TV upconverts it to fill the screen whereas 480i content on an HD station is usually broadcast in 720p with side bars to maintain the 4:3 aspect which doesn't look good to me.The 720p and 1080i content look amazing.480p from my DVD through the component (RGB) video connection also looks great. One negative I have may not be related to this set at all, but I'm not sure so I'll mention it... when I'm tuned to Discovery HD Theater, sometimes the camera panning action across a wide-angle view is jerky rather than smooth.
4-0 out of 5 stars got it !
I got my 37D90U yesterday, it came out of the Box, and blew my mind, this thing look amazing, very money !!.
