excellent mount, terrible masonry bolts
the mount is excellent.easy to adjust on the wall, minimum space required, ample hardware for different tvs, low price.BUT if installing onto masonry (i.e., grout between bricks on fireplace), do NOT use the supplied bolts and expanding toggles.they do not work (i now have 4 extra holes in my wall).i used tap-con screws, which have an odd but effective design to hold in masonry.they can be screwed into and out of the masonry multiple times and retain grip (not tear out grout).

Haven't Installed Yet.....But Transaction Was Flawless
I haven't installed this as of yet, but the transaction and delivery was perfect.Shipment arrived earlier then posted all instructions and hardware were included correctly and product was in perfect shape.I couldn't be happier, I will be purchasing a 27" LCD mount as well.I let everyone know how they install, which looks quite simple.

Wall Mount
This wall mount is excellent.Don't be confused by the description however. The "horizontal" adjustment is linear, in other words it moves lateraly from side to side rather than rotates.But, this is a good feature if you have to locate studs to get a proper mount.You can adjust the mount to hit the studs by the many mounting holes and then move the screen to adjust to the center.Also, the package of bolts for connecting the flat screen should be tested in the flat screen mounting holes to make sure that you have the right bolts. ... Great System for the Price
I had just purchased the Samsung HL-S4666W 46" DLP HDTV and I felt I needed a surround sound system to go with it.However, I didn' have thousands to spend, and I needed to get a progressive scan DVD player too.This system answered all my problems at once.

Very nice!
I bought this unit along with the Samsung 56" DLP TV.It came very quickly from Amazon (received in 2 days).It is excellent quality, exactly what I was expecting from a Sony.It setup very easy, I am running the HDMI Passthrough for both my HDCable Box and the Samsung HD960 unit as well.The setup of the device was extremely easy, easy to rename inputs and the theater setup wizard is very easy and works very well.
Awsome ( Free Shipping from Amazon Didn't Hurt Either!)
Excellent product. It even comes with a calibration microphone that tests and calibrates all the speakers and lets you know if any of them is misplaced/out of range for optimum performance.
Problems With Sony
Unit worked well. Remote was defective. Had to ship it at my expense with much paperwork and wait for return. This made receiver virtually useless. Received replacement and, you guessed it, same defect. More time with a useless home theater.

Great System
I own this home theater system, the best of this system is the 1000 watts(great and deep bass), Hdmi port, front audio and rear audio port(when using rear wireless) and up-convertion for HD ready monitors.

I must say this product is very powerful and rich in sound,damn just watch a dvd of king kong on it and you will see what am talking about,the sound and power makes you jump at times and it is so detailed that it feels as if things are creeping up on you from the back. Excellent Value for money
The Audio and Video Quality that this home theater provides is outstanding, as movies look crystal clear and sound excellent as well. The back speaker's sound is crisp, considering it's wireless. It only needs an AC outlet nearby and that's it. Also, very handy for playing music from my iPod. The sound quality when playing this was very good.
Convenience Vs Hissing....
I have had many home theater systems in past, but I never place the rear speakers in the rear due to wire extensions. Superb Sound
I bought these speakers based on price because I just wanted to get some budget speakers to start off with on my home theater.It turns out that these speakers have amazing sound quality easily rivaling speakers that cost 10x the price.

Big sound for a small price
I don't need to vibrate the walls or let my neighbors down the street know what I'm listening to. This unit is sharp looking, easy to install and has ample sound for me. I watched a couple of movies this past weekend, and I really felt like I was watching them in a theater (at less than half the volume). If you are really into the full surround sound system, by all means pay more, but for this price and sound quality, I don't see how you can go wrong. Great little remote
When my Toshiba VCR remote starting giving me problems, I decided to look into a Universal replacement.I don't care for their usual bulkiness, so this one stood out because of its slim-line design.The reviews were positive and the price unbelievably low, so I took a chance.
Easy to set up and works very well
We had used One For All remotes for years but when we got our Tivo a year or so ago I couldn't find a One For All that would work and bought a different brand. Those never worked well. We put up with them for a long time and then I thought I should look at the One For Alls again and found this unit. Bought two and we are very happy with them. They have a strong transmitter and when you push a button the button is pushed. No more getting channel 27 instead of 277 for example. These are good remotes.

Didn't work well for me
My original remote for my t.v. broke.I bought this one to replace it and thought that if it would control at least as much of my dvd/vcr functions as the original t.v. remote had done, so much the better. But it controls only a limited number of the functions for each and will not allow full use of the devices' menus. Contrary tothe other very positive reviews here, I am not impressed! ... Read more

Excellent System for Price.
If you want a budget home theater system for under $200 there is probably not many systems better then the Sony HT-DDW700. This system is ideal for small rooms such as a bed room or a tiny living room.
Impossible Menus
Although this system sounds generally good out of the box, the bass is much too strong. Even after the automatic tuning with the included mic, the bass is much too strong. The menus are impossible to figure out (two PHDs tried). They are nonsensical and confusing and often get in a loop that you cannot get out of unless you turn the unit off. In short, good sound, but not sensational. Bass much too strong and even turned way down it is still too strong. And HORRIBLE menu system that defies use. There have to be better systems out there where the menu system is carefully thought out and sensible.

Excellent Choice
I purchased this item recently and it's excellent in all aspects. It took me less than a hour to set it up and the super cool auto calibration takes cares of calibrating the speakers without having the pain of doing it manually. The subwoofer delivers a meaty bass and the surround speakers are very impressive. The centre channel could have been powered up a bit more so that it can deliver the movie dialogues in depth, but still it does a good job. great system
This system does everything you would expect from a home theater system, and looks nice to boot.And to correct the poster below, it does play burned dvds.The only problem is it does not include audio connectors to hook up the T.V.'s sound to the receiver, but they can be bought very cheaply.

Big Bang for The Buck!!
After months of searching and researching I decided on this system. Looked at the Panasonic's, Kenwoods, Onkio etc and had my mind set on Kenwood or Panasonic till I went to a store that had a good display of various systems. I had a budget of $500 and looked hard at the Panasonic HT 940 system but after two hours of taking the same music cd's and movie dvd back and forth to the displays, I choose the Samsung because of the crisp highs and deep bass, smaller speakers, sleek look, rear wireless ready and the ability to play any format out there. Once home the ability to fine tune each cross-over to get the sound right in my house was awsome and easy to setup. The speakers are small but beat some of my 100 watt JVC audio speakers in the house. My wife was very impress from the sound from the small speakers. I highly suggest Monster Cable for any system you buy. I walked out of the store under $500. The system was $319, the Monster cable $44 and three year total replacement policy was $56. Does not fit 42" panasonic
After opening up all of the packaging for this mount and trying to make it work for a period of time, it just didn't fit properly to my recently purchased 42" Panasonic Plasma.After calling the manufacturer I was surprised to hear that it is not made to fit my size set.I found this strange since my size fell into the range of the description.

Good system
I have had this system for a couple months now and it is working well for me.I love the 200watt subwoofer.I just recently purchased a plasma tv and am running HDMI through the receiver for my HD cable and DVD player.The picture is excellent.
HDMI Passthrough Is A Major Drawback
I bought this unit mainly because of the HDMI inputs and output.I thought for this price of $500, this is a great deal.I should have known.I get it home, and apparently the two HDMI inputs are passthrough, meaning they will only carry the audio connection through the receiver to the TV.Now, why in the heck would you not want the receiver in an AV home theater system to intercept the sound on an HDMI connection and play it though all those speakers insted of your two TV cabinets speakers?I can't imagine.
Should make a lot of people happy, but will make a few people unhappy
The Sony HT-7000DH HDMI Capable Component Home Theater System could have been the perfect low priced HDMI capable receiver. I got this unit for review in July 2006 from Circuit City. First, the positives, the receiver and DVD unit accompanied with this package look very polished and fit well into a hifi component based system. The setup is pretty straightforward and there are enough configuration options to keep an audio geek satisifed for at least a little while. The auto speaker placement calibration feature is great and works as advertised. The powered subwoofer produces deep punchy bass.
