4-0 out of 5 stars Worked for me....
My Compaq Ipaq has always worked for me.Mine was actually from my grandfather, he won it.It's got very little memory, 16 MB, but it has a slot for an SD card.Overall, I like the system. All the parts are working fine now after a few years. The battery life is somewhere around five hours.I like the size, but the problem is you can't carry it around with much memory unless you use the expanison (memory card) pack, which makes it bulky and heavy. However, it has good graphics (it supports lots of free or shareware games), can be used as an mp3 player, typewriter/laptop, and is good for just a calendar or memo organizer.I think it's a good buy.

2-0 out of 5 stars Funky Construction
I must say, for such a ...piece of equipment, this device is not made very well. Before I purchased the Compaq, I owned a Palm V.Whereas the Palm never failed me, in less than a year of ownership, the Compaq has developed several problems:3-0 out of 5 stars Almost Excited
Compaq has a winner here in the base technology but it needs a tune-up big time (which is happening as we 'sync').Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Unique PDA!
If you are a consumer who elects to pay out over a $1,000 for a simple desktop PC and $500 for a PDA, the BE 300 may not be for you. Designed in year 2000, the BE 300 was released in 2001. Casio made it to compete against the expensive fad PDAs. It was worth the original $299 suggested retail price. Casio stopped making them early 2004 and Casio pulled out of the North American PDA market completely.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great for price and great to learn on
This PDA is great for beginners and to learn how to use a PDA. If you use it, then upgrade to something more technical.

5-0 out of 5 stars REX 6000 - Purchased Used
The product has a long standing reputation as a quality product. That has not changed. What made this transaction so pleasant was the speed, customer-comes-first attitude, and integrity of the seller.I would purchase from this individual and from this forum again.

5-0 out of 5 stars best organizer around
I've had a palm pilot, a pocket pc, countless other organizers but the only one that i like the best is the rex 6000.I have the model before this, when it was manufactured by franklin. This organizer is tiny, holds a ton of info, and isn't filled with pointless features.I don't like to carry a lot with me, my rex fits right into my business card holder, and into my pocket.

4-0 out of 5 stars A superb organizer in budget range
I find the IBM WorkPad c3 smaller and lighter than the Palm III that one of my friend uses. Its contrast-variable backlighting really helps me to see the figures in variable light conditions such as when I am standing directly under a light in my office or walking in the alley which is not that well lit. An added advantage is lesser strain on my eyes because of its sharp screen. I guess the WorkPad c3 is limited to its 2 MB of non-expandable memory as the manufacturer could not design to fit a bigger memory in its slim design. How am I going to upgrade its memory to a larger capacity I do not know but I guess its one of the trade off that one has to bear in relation to the overall relatively low cost of this product. One particular feature that I find very handy is the synchronization ability of WorkPad directly with a my PC through the infrared transmitter this is a valuable feature that comes specially during my busy days letting me bypass its HotSync cradle connection.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excelent option for palm lovers
I came from using TRGpro & Handera 330. Difficult to find a new PalmOS machine with the high usability of extinguished models.5-0 out of 5 stars I like it!
I gotta say, I bought this thing thinking that I would probably just use it to store numbers and play MP3's.I've owned the old Palm Pilot Original, the Palm V, and now this Clie.I must say that the Clie simply blows everything else out of the water. It's like a mini computer! I can view pictures, PDF's, XLS, DOC with the bundled software. The screen resolution is really awesome.4-0 out of 5 stars Glad I Upgraded
Previous happy owner of a Clie NR60 but had to upgrade when I dropped it and broke the screen. The NX73 has everything I liked about my previous machine and in addition is Faster, has better screen resolution, and the Upgraded Palm OS.The Decuma handwriting recognition is great. The more I use it the more I like the ablity to take notes in my writing. The camara is lame and not a reason to buy this machine. The option for using CF cards is great plus in flexibility and cost.If you like to type your notes into your PDA, then this machine is not for you.The touch of the keyboard gives barely enough feedback. The Tungsten C has much better keyboard feel if you feel this is important.Bottom Line, if you like the big screen of the CLIE clamshell models (which to me makes a big difference), this is definitely the machine to buy. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars what junk
I write under very special conditions. I was using a palm with a keyboard, but I found it not to be powerful enough. A laptop was too heavy, the battery life was miserable, and it took forever to turn on. I found a jornada on Ebay. It is a piece of junk! They get constant memory losses, and it took a week for the screen to fall right off its hinges. I got another and it was wiped with the most crucial information of my life. Like you I read negative revues and gave it the benefit of the doubt(after all I love all electronics), but heed my warning STAND CLEAR.

3-0 out of 5 stars 3.5 Stars
this is my first pocket pc that i purchased it to replace my handspring visor. the metal case is very sleek, matched with the color screen, it definitely is a head turner. the rechargeable battery is a nice feature, although the life span is rather short. the serial sync cable included works fairly well but a usb cable would have been better. the infared sync works well with my laptop, but it's much slower than the serial cable. one thing that does annoy me is the fact that you can not store the stylus on the pda itself (like on the palm or visor) rather it stores in the protect sleeve instead. if you get this device you will soon find that the built-in memory is not enough, so i highly recommend getting an additional compact flash memory card. i have used it as an mp3 player but since i store the music on the expansion cf card, reading from the cf slot drains the battery pretty quick. i have also done some light editing of word and excel documents while on the go which works out great.5-0 out of 5 stars Excelent form my purpose

Don't let the low price tag of VTech's Helio fool you. Even though the lower-end of the handheld price spectrum often seems to overlap with those $40 organizers available in the electronics department of your local superstore, the Helio is a respectable PDA with as much power and more memory (2 MB of flash memory, 8 MB of internal storage) than the low-cost options from Palm and Handspring.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for basic data
The Helio is just fine for most data storage needs like phonebook, notes and a calc with metric converter. I like the LARGE FONT mode and the screen is of a descent size. I just returned a Clie' Sj22 because the fonts and screen are too small.5-0 out of 5 stars It is worth the price!
I purcased the vTech Helio for myself in Dec.2000, from Amazon.4-0 out of 5 stars Great for BUSY high school and college students!
I am person who hates to confrom and in todays world, everyone does. It seems like everyone who owns a cell phone owns a Nokia, and everyone who owns a pda owns a handspring or palm. That is why I own a Ericsson and a VTECH HELIO!. The V-tech stands out compared to other PDA's. It has a built in voice recorder and everything else you need to keep organized. It is very stable, and does not have a cheap feeling like some other PDA's. For the price I bought it for (50 dollars), it was a steal. I know they discontinued making helios, and that is why stores in Europe and America are clearing them out by selling it for 50 dollars. But, the helio was originally 199 dollars (upper quality device),and now its for 50 dollars..it is a great deal. I use my Helio for everything, and it has never failed on me. Yes, their are a limited number of programs, but with all I see, many third party people are still producing new programs for the helio. There is this new program out for Helio's called Grey Scale, and its a must have. Because Helio has a 16 color grey screen (palm has a 4 color grey screen), you can download any picture online and view them on your Helio! For 50 bucks, it is the best deal for a PDA out thier. You won't be disapointed! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars MY FIRST PDA
This was my pest pda i ever got o and you HAVE to back up alot it WILL die and you have to leave the batters out for about an hour put new batts can put olds the net day thought but you WILL lose all your data so back up outher wise you will have nothing.I gave it 5 stars because it has never hascompleatly died on me. Like this coputer or my outher palms. My grandafather gave me this one because he got a blue one with 6 mgs of ram. Also it uses AAAs so I dont have to buy the recharble batts that are about 40.99 and amost caust as almost as much as the pda.I us Ni-cd Ni-mh AAAs because I can recharge tham and they are not 40.99for a batt that will only last about a year.

1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible experience with my Visor...
I had the same problem that reviewer Mr. McCoy had.I recieved my Visor and it came with batteries.I turned it on and at some point during the setup process the Visor shut down. When I tried to turn it back on, it wouldn't.Resets (soft and hard) did nothing.I changed out the batteries with brand new ones. The Visor came on and within half an hour, it shut down again. Not allowing the SAME batteries to be used.I went through 3 sets of brand new batteries and this happened every time. The longest my Visor has stayed on has been 30 minutes or less.
2-0 out of 5 stars Data Lost Twice; doesn't want it's batteries changed
I was so happy to see that I wasn't the only person who had problems with this device. I love it's capabilities, but have lost data twice: first time I received a change battery warning, so changed batteries, and zap! everything gone.Contacted Handspring, (what a messy website)and lots of words came back, but were they really listening? Second time, I decided to replace batteries long before they needed it, just in case. Data gone. I did the change very fast, less than a minute as advised. I want a refund/repair or new device, but can't really get through to them. I've cooled down somewhat (they depend on that, I imagine) but surprise! I'm buying a new PDA, and it won't be one of theirs! Here I am, researching other brands. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Superb res, reliable and versatile
I bought mine refurb and after 2-yrs I'm still in love with my SJ20. Although it sometimes fails and auto resets, of all of my gadgets it's by far my best companion at the point I depend on it. Sony's decision of quittin' the PDA business was annoying, I have to say, but my loyalty to Cli remains intact, so whenever somebody asks me for a recommendation on PDAs I always suggest Sony Cli. Right now I'm looking for an upgrade, which shall be a TJ27 (the one that comes with built-in camera), and my beloved SJ20 will remain close to me in my fiance's hands.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice unit but poor battery
I picked this unit up for my son 2 years ago, he enjoyed it a great deal, until the battery would no longer hold a charge. That happened about a year after he got it.I was just looking into getting a new battery for it so he could use it again and went to a battery store. They checked and an aftermarket replacement cost $49+ plus $5 S&H so I'm still in search mode on that.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is the worst PDA I have owned
DON'T believe the hype. I am pretty techno-savy and this unit did not do what it claims to do. The hot-synch did not work properly, the battery had below average life, difficult to reset, poor help files. Oh, did I mention, Sony never sent me the rebate they promised. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Five years!
This was my first and only PDA for five years. It served me long and well, without once failing. If you are looking for a basic, reliable, PDA this provides excellent value for the money. To protect it, it is essential to get a good protective case (I used a Rhinoskin), and to have screen protectors (I used WriteRight from Fellowes) at all times. Note that you have to keep it supplied withAAA batteries (always keep a spare pair handy), but unlike my friends who bought a rechargeable PDA whose battery finally died after 2-3 years, this one kept on going.

5-0 out of 5 stars Lasted Four Years - I weep for Palm
I am filled with feelings of anger and despair as I see the once great Palm Corporation in its death throes.I bought my first Handspring Visor Deluxe in early 2001 for $250 -- had it stolen 11 months later -- and bought another refurbished one from Handspring in Feb 2002 for just $100.The device gave me outstanding service until it died just a few days after its 4th (re)birthday.A refurbished device lasting 4 years!Since yesterday I have been looking for a replacement, inexpensive PalmOS handheld.Unfortunatlely, there is only PalmOne (or whatever they are called now) corporation left (having swallowed Handspring) and the PalmOS has been sold to a Japanese company. The reviews for Palm's current products -- nearly all from longtime loyal Palm-product users -- nearly uniformly slam the products.
4-0 out of 5 stars Visor Deluxe Blue
The best at this price. Like the color and functions. Mine has latest longer than some comparable higher end models. Life saver when trying to keep a busy life organized. Great optional backlight feature.
