4-0 out of 5 stars 4 1/2 Stars- Very Good PDA
This PDA is very functional and easy-to-use. It stores quite a bit of memory, and the features are very nice and useful. The only things that I disliked were that it is black & white (though color PDAs were hardly on the market when I bought it), and that sometimes the font is very small and I couldn't find a way to change that. It provides a great memo pad, Paint program, and photo viewer. You can also add creative touches to your downloaded pics using the paint program, which proved to be entertaining. You can also get great features and downloadables for this PDA, which is a slightly older model. I would definitely reccommend the sony CLIE PEG-SL10 Handheld!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA...Disadvantages though
I bought this PDA a few months after it was released. I was happy with it except a few things. I didn't like that it was B&W or that is was not rechargable. There was alot todo with it until almost all the pda's on the market went Color then the software was limited. I really like the functionality and the features. But now I have updated. I would recomment going for the Song SJ22 for a little more money. Tis color and recharagable and alot more funtional.

4-0 out of 5 stars Combines Basic Organizer Functions With A Hi-Res B/W Display
This is the third PDA I've owned, but my first CLIE. After my Palm Vx's screen broke, I decided to upgrade to the color Palm m130. About 6 months later it stopped functioning and I decided to just forget about returning it and throw it out because I really didn't like it all that much anyway. So I decided to shop for a third PDA. I wanted something small, light, and inexpensive; something to use just as an organizer. I was thinking about a Palm Zire, but while looking on eBay I found the CLIE PEG-SL10 in brand-new condition for half the price. I bought it, and was pleasantly surprised at what I got. I didn't know when I bought it that it used AAA batteries instead of rechargeable batteries. I was a little disappointed at first, but I found later when going on vacation it was much easier to bring an extra set of batteries than a charger cable. The high-resolution display is great. Text comes out clear and easy to read. I sort of miss the color display of my old m130, but the hi-res makes up for that. The included 8MB of RAM is more than enough for storing contacts, memos, and date book entries. I even had enough room left for JPEG pictures I transferred from my computer using the included software. While I never bought a memory stick to expand the memory, that feature would be useful for people who want to store photos, video (with included gMovie software), or games. While it comes with dozens of applications on the CD, almost all are trial versions or shareware. It does, however, include street finder with one free map download. It takes up a lot of memory (around 2MB for program and map), but is very useful. It also includes powerOne personal, which is an upgrade to the included calculator and includes more features. It's been about 6 months since I bought this PDA. I'm now thinking of upgrading to a Tungsten C to take advantage of my new WI-FI home network. This PDA was great and I haven't really had any problems with it. I would not suggest this to anyone who needs a PDA for music, movies, internet, or games. This is a very basic PDA with some more advanced features. Overall, it is a great investment for anyone who needs a inexpensive, basic PDA. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars good pda
i doubt anyone will even ever read this as sony has pulled out of the market, but this is a really solid pda.i need a new one b/c the screen is messed up from dropping it too many times (i am really hard on it).i have really enjoyed it though.as long as i am replacing it, i want a faster processor.66 Mhz is a lot faster than the original palms, and faster than most folks need...but i run some medical software on mine that utilizes every ounce of speed.if you are just a regular user, or relatively new to pdas, you won't be disappointed in this one!be sure to get the cradle that comes with it as it is pretty cool.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome hanheld
Awesome palm pilot, great for almost any thing, games, camera, movies. Definetly worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Best all around PDA out there
This has been one of the better electronics purschases I've made. Memory is great, full of features (MP3 audio is great), no stupid thumb keyboard. I've thought of upgrading just because, but despite being two years old, no other PDA on the market is as functional as the T-665C. The only drawback - no way to add a WiFi card. COme on SOny! Build it, and they will come! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars e-805 Toshiba PDA
The toggle switch on my new e805 broke the second time I moved it from WiFi to off.I sent the unit in under warrenty.Toshiba warrenty department said the mother board must be replaced to fix the toggle switch and is not covered under warrenty. They charged $125.00 to repair unit.I've bought a lot of Toshiba products, this will be the last.5-0 out of 5 stars Works Fine !
I purchased the e805 dispite the bad reviews here and let me tell you mine works fine. I use it with navagation software and find it works way better than I expected.(travroute) E-mail works fine as does connecting to wireless internet services. I have had no problems with the screen. Not to mention I got lucky and paid $499.00 from COMPUSA. 2 THUMBS UP...Anyone interested in navagation software should give TRAVROUTE a try.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA!!
This is the best PDA i have ever owned! It is versatile, with its unique jog dial, I can select and scroll thru documents with ease, it has a long battery life - between 7 to 12 days for me, if I do not surf the net. The screen is good sized with great colors and resolution.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good product, problems over time
I have had the PEG-TH55 for almost two years now. I have to say that it is a great product, but over time I have had some very frustrating problems.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best PDA? As close as you can get!
The Sony Clie PEG-TH55/U (otherwise known simply as the TH55) is my third PDA. After upgrading to the TH55 after one year with the Clie PEG-SJ22 and six months before that with the Palm Zire, I am not going to switch anytime soon. All of the features I ever wanted in a PDA are crammed into this thin package. The huge screen, tiny profile, and great memory capacity are only the beginning.

I've owned way too many PDAs, and have come to several conclusions:5-0 out of 5 stars Best PDA out there (not including UX50)
I have had several PDAs, and this is by far the best.I got it mainly for the built-in keyboard and high-res screen, but it is the total package.I sold my Dell Axim which was quite good to get the UX40 and I don't miss it at all.3-0 out of 5 stars Love at first glance, but then...

2-0 out of 5 stars Too Old
This used to be a great device. However, as of Aug. 31, 2004, Palm is discontinuing their Palm.Net wireless service. As the Palm VII cannot be reconfigured to use a different service, the vast majority of its functionality is now gone.If you just need a basic handheld, the Palm VII will still work in this capacity, but there are other devices which work just as well for a lower cost.

1-0 out of 5 stars unless you own stock in Duracell forget it
this was the second Palm I owned, and was a closeout model, and it was terrible. Battery life is non-existent unless one week counts. In fact was away from unit for a week and not only were the batteries completely dead, but lost all data. I love the convenience of a PDA, just not THIS PDA

1-0 out of 5 stars Palm V
The shipping and receiving of the Palm was adequate. However the back light didn't function. I e mailed the seller about the problem but never received a reply.

1-0 out of 5 stars Tired Attorney
I got a Palm V about 2 years ago.My hope was that I couldtrash my full-to-bursting filo fax with multiple addresses/business cards for my ever-moving family and friends and also take my work calendar and address book on the road thereby avoid the constant stress of not being able to get hold of my secretary to access diary appointments and contact details when away from my desk-top/lap-top.5-0 out of 5 stars PalmV Handheld
I've owned one for two years; it made it possible for me not to travel with my notebook. It sync's to ACT!2000 with more than 1200 names in about 90 seconds. Be sure to download the newest software from Palm and from your contact manager for best results. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars View Sonic Rocks
I received my view sonic v36 as a gift. At first I was apprehensive of such an electronic device, but soon found many uses for it. It organizes my busy schedule, daily, weekly, and monthly. I use it as an MP3 player, and shoot pictures of my friends. Since the camera is a little slow and doesn't have flash, I normally stick to daylight and people need to remain still. Sometimes the unit doesn't want to turn off, so lately I have been backing up my data so that when I reset the unit, my information will be there. I like personalizing my unit with pictures of my friends on the screen. I also like how windows programs and games came installed on the unit. I have even found out how to download more games. I have had this unit for over a year, and the battery charges just fine. I am going to buy this same unit for a friend of mine. The battery normally lasts for a few hours while I have it on, over a week otherwise.

5-0 out of 5 stars What else you want.
Most other features will be useless. This Pocket PC records, plays MP3, takes pictures, movies, and most of all manages my busy schedule better than a paper agenda or a laptop. Besides I have been able to find many other professional and practical uses which means a lot when you can actually carry it with you. Like everything you need to be willing to follow the instructions and it will work for you fine without problems. Don't abuse it with extreme memory clutter and soft-restart once in a while. Oh, and make sure your kids don't drop it. For the price, this is the best package. If you are not the concious type, get the old paper agenda out and stop harming these usefull gadgets. Your bad reviews are affecting the industry and at the end it won't be profitable for them to produce such helpful thingys anymore. Maybe we can be nicer and learn how to use the new technology, it is not made of wood, you know? Who knows what have you been doing to it, and please take it off your back pockets before you sit!

4-0 out of 5 stars It's ok, too bad there is so little suport from Microsoft
It works quite well as far as Pocket PC goes. It's a good little unit. I've not have a major problems with the hardware. It's a shame that Microsoft offers so little in the way of support. Too bad. This is my second Pocket PC, and probably the last. Microsoft's online help is pretty much useless, and that's all there is. If you are interested in the basic calendar type of stuff, you will probably be happy. If you need anything beyond that, good luck. The new sub-notebook computers with Windows-XP are so much more capable, why suffer ? I got a new Fujitsu and am very happy with it. It's a shame that the company who wrote the o/s treats it like an unwanted orphan. It's got such a great unrealised potential. I really wish MS would really get behind it. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Avoid
My computer came with a CD R/RW drive. Never worked. Dell sent me 2 replacements. Never worked, as confirmed by their own technician. Now they won't respond. I wrote to Michael Dell. He didn't have the courtesy to reply. I wrote to Dell's Board of Directors. They haven't replied. I have bought Dell stuff for a decade now, but will never buy from them again. Buyer beware - if you are sure you will never need technical support, maybe buy from Dell. Otherwise avoid.

1-0 out of 5 stars biggest piece of junk
My Dell Axim is the stupidest $500 I ever spent. It locks up, won't recharge, needs constant tending and the battery life is like that of an insect. If you need this kind of useless equipment, buy another brand.Sure, they ship quickly, but using the Microsoft platform just adds to the problems.

2-0 out of 5 stars Nice for multi-media, but that?s about it.
I had come from the Diamond Mako or Psion Revo+ which I had bought for ~$100 a couple of years ago.The Mako had its short comings which was mainly the lack a hi-res color screen and lack of upgradeable memory.I loved the keyboard on the Mako and hardly ever used the stylus. The graffiti always seemed slow to enter data and you always had to pull out the pen so I like the keyboard. The NR70 had a keyboard, a nice screen, and expandable memory.I didn't really care about the MP3 player since it's too big too be conveniently used while on the go.1-0 out of 5 stars warning!
After owning 3 Palms and one Pocket PC (... I kept dropping them), I bought but deeply regret buying a Clie. If you are a heavy user of "tasks" as I am, Clie's performance is so bad the PDA is unusable. When one makes any change in the task (...change date to "tomorrow"), there is about a 5 second delay. For all the Palms this was instantaneous. Change "priority"... same thing. Etc. This renders the Clie unusable.4-0 out of 5 stars Memory Stick Gets "lost"
This is the slickest handheld to date.I fell in love with the PEG NX70V/U in a nano second when I first laid eyes on it, and I went ahead and got one.Looked cool when I used to take pictures and then stored them on the memory stick (MS).Thats when the trouble began.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A versatile pocket computer
I have had an HP 2415 for a year.First the bad news - the battery will drain if it is docked and no power is turned on - despite being set to go to sleep when powered. I have had to reload software 10 times because of this flaw.
3-0 out of 5 stars Battery Problems - Lost all data
This is my 4th PDA, and I have had it for about a year now. My first 2 was Palm devices - first a Palm IIIx and then a Vx. I loved the Vx for its small size, but after it died, I decided to go with a PocketPC for some of the features it offered. I got an iPAQ 3955 which I like alot, but the size was hard to get used to after the Vx. I still used it pretty heavily, and after 2 years I found I needed a device with built in WiFi, as the PPC2003 upgrade wouldn't let me use my WiFI card anymore. So last February I upgraded to the 2415. I liked the smaller size of the unit over the 3955, and it functioned well at first. However, in the past few months, I found there are times I try to turn the unit on, and nothing happens. Apparently, the battery will run down while it is off, and after charging, it is back to factory settings, having lost all applications and records. Even though there is a backup battery in it, it doesn't seem to have done anything to maintain my data. This has happened a few times in the past several weeks to the point where it has been too much of a hassle to keep reinstalling the applications (and digging out reg. codes to reregister the programs). I have found that I barely use it anymore, but not for a lack of wanting to use a PDA. I'd rate this at 2.5 stars since it functioned well for a while, and only recently became virtually useless. I am now looking at going back to a Palm device if I can find one that suits my needs.

5-0 out of 5 stars terrific LITTLE pda
For the size of this PDA it is jam packed!I have read all of these reviews and decided some of the reviewers did not spent enough time and patience with it.I could tell you what each of their problems were. You must also realize that REX is small. If you cant read small print, you wont like it.I have had my 6000 since its introduction almost a year ago.I was one of the first to get mine.I love it dearly and use it daily.I was a previous REX user and find the 6000 the best! If you have trouble with the software there is a solution, because all the other dedicated REXers have made it work. Also note there ARE "addins" available, just not through the manufacturer. There is a whole world of REXers out there. There are many wonderful REX-writing people who have made everything from scientific calculator to tetris game (solitaire and others of course) to expense manager and even a program to write little REX emails on it!These writer gurus are amazing and most addins are available for free download. For the size of the REX, you get a lot. I can not think of anything more I would want it to do!I certainly did not want to tote the large Palm around.REX is the size of a credit card and does almost as much... I am in the process of finding a second just in case anything ever happens to mine!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great PDA, inadequate bundled PIM
Time magazine's "PDAs on a diet" compared the Vista and Rex PDAs.I read the review and quickly changed from the Vista to the Rex 6000.The Rex was like a breath of fresh air, especially when I had to reschedule alarms. The bundled PIM, unfortunately, is more primitive than the Vista's PIM, since the latter allowed drag-and-drop rescheduling and sorting of memo entries by any displayed categories.Guess I'll have to invest in MS Outlook for a flexible PIM.Thanx.5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome

The tapered design, expanded memory, infrared transceiver for communicating with other PDAs, and flip-top cover make 3Com's Palm III even more of a dream electronic organizer for closet Star Fleet officers and harried professionals. With 2 MB of storage, the wallet-sized Palm III holds 6,000 addresses, 3,000 appointments, 1,500 to-do items, 1,500 memos, and 200 e-mail messages. The installed Graffiti Power Writing software allows you to write on the Palm III using Graffiti's shorthand alphabet.Users can also tap out letters on an on-screen keyboard using a heavy-duty stylus, which is included. Navigation through the core information management applications--memo pad, to-do list, address book, and calendar--is accomplished with six push buttons or by tapping the stylus on the backlit display. Palm OS 3.0 includes more fonts than earlier versions and facilitates drag-and-drop linking to Microsoft Word or Excel. The CD-ROM that comes with the Palm III provides all the necessary software to manage tasks on your desktop, too.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Does the basics
I just ordered a Palm III online a few weeks ago, and so far I like it.It's easy to use, I entered information in the address and date book field immediately and have been expanding to the memo pad and to do list.A few things I don't like, the alarm isn't much of an alarm. It makes a very faint noise once at the time you set it for and if you don't hear it then you're just kinda out of luck, but as soon as you turn your palm on again, that note shows up with the alarm time and date and description. Also, I got a cord with mine, not a cradle, and it won't connect to my computer (I guess the connecting cable is too old for my 2004 laptop?) and I can't find an adapter, so I haven't been able to connect it to the computer or download anything, which sucks for me, but I don't know if that's a common problem or not.I also got a CD with it which I installed, but without a connection it doesn't help much, but atleast the Palm is user-friendly enough that I could figure out the basics without the CD.For the price they're going now, anywhere from $20 used, I definitely think it's a good deal for your money, good means of organization for someone with a busy schedule who needs addresses and dates at their fingertips.I have it in a case and it fits in my purse fine, not too big or bulky.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Best For Beginners
I have been having my PALM II for more or less 1 year and am very happy with it.The handling of directions, appointments, alarms, to-do's, cocktails, even TV-shows is excellent.
