Misaligned bracket
Bracket so skewed that when tightened it pulls the fingers from the socket; could not bend backet to make it fit; had to leave bracket misaligned; used tape as dust cover; otherwise card seems to work as advertised.

Fills the Bill
Raising the level of port from 1.1 - 2.0 is what the product promises is what the product promises and that is what it delivers. It was comparitively easy to install. My wife without previous experience, installed the product in approximately 15 minuts.

WORKS PERFECTLY-PC and MAC!!
This card works exactly as stated by StarTech. I bought two - one for a PC and one for a Mac, popped 'em in and plugged in iPods, external hardrives, a scanner, and digital cameras and the cards worked perfectly. The PC needed a quick setup and the Mac worked instantly!

Monster Cables are Very Very Good
I bought various monster cables and they work great. Most important is a monster S video cable for the cable box or satellite box for viewing regular TV. (Only HDTV boxes have component cables on them) A HDTV is not worth it to me just yet. The Monster Video® 2/Interlink® 250 A/V Connection Kit (S-Video) is great and it costs as much as 2 cases of beer and lasts for years. Prestine picture quality on 35 inch sets and below. For bigger sets get a Monster Super Video(tm) 3/Interlink® 400 MkII Advanced S-Video A/V Kit. You will thank yourself. Costs as much as a dinner for 2 but lasts for years.
Improves the picture quality!
Before I owned this cable I was disappointed with the quality of picture that I was seeing on my HDTV. Though I wasn't very positive about it I decided to go ahead and buy this cable. The picture quality changed by a significant amount! Much better than my cable company supplied cable.

Not a GREAT Mic
This mic was great, for the short time it worked. I only had it for about 2 weeks or so before it quit working. I was glad I had only paid about $4 for it.

I purchased this particular microphone from this site through TigerDirect, and wouldn't you know it----NO INSTRUCTIONS.I have tried to use various voice recording programs (WavePad, Sound Forge, and Cakewalk) but when I plug this mic in, NOTHING HAPPENS.

works fine, but title is wrong
Works great, I even bought a second one.Keep in mind that this is a USB cable.It has nothing to do with firewire (as the title would lead you to believe).

Tripp Lite Extension Cables are solid performers
I bought two of these Tripp Lite U026-016 USB 2.0/FireWire 16 foot Active Extension Cables.I have had them for a month and use them with both my PC and with my Playstation 2 Force Feedback Driving Wheels.They are well designed and made with nice thick insulation on the wires and tight connectors.

Does Not Work
The 3M Privacy Filter does not work unless you are at a 50 degree angle or more to the screen. Otherwise you can see the screen. You can see the screen clearly from any distance if you are directly behind it. All the filter does is make the screen a little darker. Don't waste your money.

Works like a charm
I've seen these online and they are expensive.This one works well and maintains privacy.It fits right over your screen and 3M provides these little tabs to make it stick.I bought it for my office where people walk behind me all the time time and it works great.I feel like I can check my email or shop on amazon during downtime through out the workday.This also would be excellent for laptops on airplanes and such. ... Practical Light!
I recently purchased the Kensington FlyLight 2.0.I am very pleased with this light!Don't expect a desk lamp.The eight LED bulbs in this powerful lamp work wonders.The laptop lamp will not illuminate a stadium but it definitely provides exceptional lighting for your laptop keyboard.I am really fond of the flexible cord that allows you to manipulate the lighting effects.You have a choice between 4 LED bulbs for dim effect (as to not disturb anyone near you) or 8 LED bulbs for a bright keyboard.The FlyLight 2.0 is a great investment that you will not regret making.

Very good light
After trying several notebook lights and not being happy with any of them, I tried this one. It works much better than any of the others I've tried. It is pretty bright and lights up enough of the keyboard to work in the evenings without being too bright.

More negatives
As stated in other reviews, the narrow-focus beam cannot illuminate your full keyboard. Further, no amount of repositioning it helps. You can twist it off to one side, which leaves half the keyboard in darkness. Or you can position it directly in front of your nose, where it toasts your face, bounces glare off your screen, and still leaves the outer edges of the keyboard black. The only position for this thing that makes any sense is aiming it at a wall and praying that its measly contribution to ambient room light will make a difference. Further, the light runs *hot*, even at half power (Kensington says you can "dim" the light, which implies it operates like, say, a dimmer. It doesn't. You can turn on all eight tiny bulbs or only four; that's the choice.). The idea of the light is attractive; the execution is lacking. ... Read more

The APC Has Worked Flawlessly For Over 2 Years
I'm not sure what happened with flagday1960's APC UPS, but I have had mine for over 2 years and it has performed flawlessly. Whenever I've had an electrical power outage, the APC's software notifies me that it has reverted to battery power, and informs when commercial electrical power has been restored.I can view the stats for my UPS - when and how long the last "event" (battery power activation) occurred, and the UPS current charge status. My 350R has only 6 outlets - 3 battery/surge and 3 surge, the current 350 model provides 8 outlets - 4 of each. While I can replace the internal battery of my 350R when it does die and is unrechargeable, I'll likely buy a new 350R in the near future, primarily for the extra 2 outlets.

KILLS COMPUTER / UN-STOPPABLE SHRIEK ALARM
I mistakenly believed the hype that this thing would PROTECT my computer from BEING KILLED, but instead, this thing has KILLED my computer FOR THE SECOND TIME IN 4 DAYS, EMITTING AN UN-STOPPABLE(i.e., CAN'T TURN THE FEATURE OFF) SHRIEK ALARM. Best mouse I've ever used
This mouse is perfect size. The buttons on the side are easy to press once you get used to them. Now whenever I use anyone elses mouse I'm always trying to find those buttons! They're very handy to have. Also this mouse moves very smoothly.
Perfect example of form over function, style over substance
My trusty Microsoft IntelliMouse Optical finally wore out, so I bought this one based on Razer's reputation and because it has seven buttons. Alas, inspite of all the claimed technical wizardry, this mouse is absolutely absymal and I returned it pronto.

Items are of moderate quality and usefulness
The tools included make a decent basic computer toolkit. The tools are unlikely to break with heavy use, but they will certainly rust eventually. I've been using these kits in various forms for years and all the pliers and bit drivers have ended up rusty.
you get what you pay for...
I would expect a kit with a soldering gun to have a small roll of solder with it; but not this one. Not bad for the price though.

not for media files - verizon customers beware
Note that Verizon crippled the Mobile Phone Tool Mobile Media function so that you have to pay for the messages if you want to transfer music/video/picture files between the PC and the phone. So if you have this kit, you WILL be able to back up your contacts using this kit, but you WONT see the Media button, and you WON'T be able to transfer any media.
