Nice after the install
The wire install is not the easiest if you are using a lower guage wire.It was difficult to keep the wires in when placing back in the wall.

A Solid Piece of Audio Hardware
If you are using multiple zones for an all room audio system like mine, you need to have strong hardware help you control the volume. The Phoenix Gold pieces are top-notch. If you are putting theknob into existing walls, make sure you take the controler with you to select the "old construction" power box which are the self-closingtype. The controler is kind of deep and some in-wall boxes are kind of short in depth. Make sure you get the deep box. Works Great
At first I was skeptical since I also own a Sony Digital Camcorder, however when I received it, I had no problems connecting it to my Sony Camcorder and as a bonus it also works with my digital camera which uses both USB or firewire.Firewaire is much faster, so if you have that option, this type of cable will save you minutes off your precious time.

Phoenix IEEE-1394 Cable Compatibility

It didn't work too long for me
I bought this cable based on the good reviews at Amazon.com.But it only worked for me for about 1 month. I have problems with one of the 3 connectors and that causes a deep green image. I guess you get what you pay for.
Cable salesman are total crooks...
When people tell you that cables matter more than the components you buy and get you to spend more on your cables than on your stereo, they are lying to you and you are getting suckered. Good buy.

Excellent DVDs
So far..., the ones I burnt i.e. almost more than half of the DVD's, have held up the company's name. I would recommend to buy 'em if you get a cheap deal.

Great experience with these
About 3-months ago, based on reviews and articles on disks burning that advised against buying generic brands, I purchased a 25-disk spindle of these Sony DVD+R disks.I now have 25 additional DVDs in my movie library - no errors!While I'm far from knowledgeable about such things and have never purchased an alternative brand - so cannot provide a comparison - I had a very positive experience with these disks and am now purchasing a 50-disk spindle of the same product; just thought I should share.
Sony DVD+R 16X are junk!!!
Recently bought a spindle of a 50 pack of Sony DVD+R and all had errors.I noticed other reviewers are using DVD Identifier to see the real manufacture of black disks.I downloaded DVD Identifier and scanned a Sony DVD+R 16x and what came up was (Sony Recording Media Co.)These blank disks are terrible, all the disks had errors and half way through the burn process would produce errors, stay away from these blank disks.I recommend Fuji disks whick scanned through DVD Identifier is (Taiyo Yuden Co. Ltd.) and burn excellent and Verbatim disks whick scanned through DVD Identifier is (Mitsubishi Chemical Corp.) and these too burn excellently.Hope all this helps! ... Read more

Non-Functional with Non-Existent Drivers
Bought this item and attempted to use it.It appears that WIN XP won't recognize it and there doesn't appear to be any drivers of any sort for it.

Works great for us!!
My kids have scratched up numerous computer and music cds.We definitely rely on skipdr to make them readable again (both my kids (ages 6 and 11) know how to use it). It "fixes" a large percentage of the problems - all except the deepest scratches and breaks.It only takes about 4 repairs for the unit to pay for itself...and we've repaired at least 50 discs with the original wheel (just today ordering replacement wheel).

it will ruin your games!
I bought this for my son who has had a few scratches on some of his games. He followed the directions, and the game doctor put a perfectly circular scratch all the way around the disc-completely ruining it.Kids being kids, didn't give up and tried another disc, again, completely ruining the disc- the kind of scratch this will not get out.Ps the "resurfacing fluid" is primarily distilled saline.Try that first with some muscle behind a soft cloth, you have a better chance saving your games!
Works great
SkipDR works great on CDs and DVDs that are not too far gone.Of 6 discs there was one disk that looked like a spider web and it could not fix that but the other 5 of my kid's game discs that were scratched - presto - they are playable again.

I have used this device everyday for the past year and a half.I have many computers, and even got the Microsoft version of it (which sucks...I don't use it because it's just annoying).
