So cute! and works great!
What's cuter than having two mini-sized boom-boom speakers on your desk?Not only do they look great, but the sound is outstanding!I was really impressed with my old JBL speakers, but after listening to these I was blown away! It sounds just like a huge stereo system!I just got them so I can't review the life expectancy, but I promise you will love them.Especially since they're so cheap!
Greatest Speakers for Affordable Price
These speakers are great for laptop users or a regular computer.... the subwoofer is ammaazziinnggg if u want ur room to shake...it has a adjuster on the back so u could put it down if you want to... these speakers are excellent for their price.. quality is near perfect and it doesn't require software like other speakers..just plug it in the headphone plug in the back of ur laptop or computer and ur set...for 30 bucks this is a great find

Best speakers for the Price
I got these a while back with my Compaq monitor and I've got to say they are pretty dang decent. Their high and mids are pretty decent---slightly below par with the Logitech X-530's and their lows are rather lacking(probably due to the lack of a subwoofer). However for the price they are great, especially if you're looking to save space or just replace your moms speakers etc. They are also incredibly tough--I've dropped mine several times on hardwood floors with no problem.

Very Disappointed
Ijust opened my new Soundsticks II system and am so very disappointed. They sound great with deep bass-intense music, like old R&B, but sound terrible for any music with significant sound in the higher end of frequency spectrum (nearly every pop & rock song). Music with a lot of sound in midrange and higher frequencies sounds very tinny - really just terrible. I will probably return them. Such a bummer, because they do look VERY cool.
Looks great, but poor quality.
I got my set in May of 2005, and one of the speakers blew out barely a year later. Since they were well taken care of and only used occasionally, it's pretty disappointing.

Nice Look, Nice Sound... Nice Everything!
I have been very impressed with these JBL Creature 2 speakers. I am upgrading from some low-end Labtec speakers, so I might be a little biased, but the sound quality of these speakers is fantastic! When doing my research online, I came across many reviews that mentioned poor mid-range quality. I'll be completely honest, it's there, but really not noticable. Also, there are plenty of pictures to look at, but once you get these on your desk, nothing does justice! It's like I have a work of art on my desk! And finally, you can't beat the price of this system. At ~$70, these speakers have great value! With all this in mind, do yourself a favor and order some for yourself! You won't be sorry!

Great sounding and nice looking system.
For the price there are few PC speaker systems that can compare with Logitech's. I have had these for some 5 months now and haven't been disappointed once. The sound is great and they just flat out look nice. The corded volume control is nice but the red lights on the controller is a strange choice for color. The bass does sound good after some tweaking but for really nice bass you will need for fork over a little more $.
fire hazard
We purchased this system less than two years ago.It has seen light to moderate use.Several days ago, the speakers started intermittently cutting out. This afternoon, the subwoofer popped several times--then caught fire!Fortunately, my son was able to extinguish the flames before much damage was done.Beware!!!!!

Good for laptops!
First I was concerned that I will have to buy an external sound card to support the 5.1 setup for my laptop. But you can just plug in the green cable (out of the three provided for a conventional 5.1 sound card) in the stereo output of your laptop (like for the 2.1 speakers). There is a switch behind the sub-woofer which you can toggle between 2.1, 4.1 and 5.1. So change it to 2.1 and then turn on the Matrix function on the remote. This will give you a pretty good surround sound experience! When the matrix function is off, the front and rear speakers will give the same sound. But when it is turned on, the rear speakers provinde a nice background surround sound. Also, you can change the sub, center and rear speaker volumes from the remote.

Pros:
Great for the Notebook user.
These speakers are pretty good. I bought these after getting to college. Back home, I had a Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.1 system with the woofer and everything. Have had it for 2 and a half years, still sounds just as amazing, only problem is its not that portable.
Beware of These Speakers!!!
I had a very similar experience to "W. Bailey" and "Phillip Crosby" below.There is a fundamental flaw in the design.The sound on the secondary speaker will get very shaky (i.e., play inconsistently).Minor fiddling with the on/volume knob will restore the sound temporarily, but slowly and surely, the connection to the secondary speaker will become gradually more and more tenuous until you are pretty much left with only one functioning speaker.Again, given the similar experiences of other reviewers, I strongly suspect this is a fundamental flaw in design.In sum, AVOID THESE SPEAKERS if you want them to last more than a year. ... Interference!!
Don't buy these speakers, despite the attractive price, if you plan on using a cell phone anywhere near them. The interference is soo horrible, it makes this painfully loud and anoying buzzing/popping noise because they are not properly shielded by cell phone interference.
Good value
I use these in my classroom, and they work well. The price was perfect for what I wanted to spend. I appreciate not having another chunky powerpack to plug in. The sound output is wonderful for my use. I do get a buzz when a cell phone in the room rings, but that's seldom. For the cost, this is an great value!

Small but powerful
I bought this speakers 2 weeks ago. I like this one because it's powerful even if it has just passive small subwoofer. That's incredible. The bass sound is pretty good and the treble sound is not too sharp. I used to have speaker system with amplifier and stationary speakers and a big active subwoofer because I like to listen to musics. I think this speakers is quite great for listening your favourite songs. If your room is not too big, this speakers is efficient.

Perfect for your laptop
I'm a Creative fan so these are the first Logitech speakers I ever bought and I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking for a set of speakers for my laptop but since the portable models are more expensive (and probably will not sound as good since being portable means no sub-woofer) I decided for this not-as-portable model.

Great speaker's with great highs and lows. midrange is not upto mark.
These speakers are great got them for 49.99$ these are worth every penny. the highs are great and they look awesome beside my flat screen. somebody said that these speakers hiss. That is rubbish these speakers have a no signal sensor. when I plug my headphones to the computer's earphone out, it hisses and I can hear all the weird sounds that the dvd drive and hard drive makes due to voltage fluctuations. however when Plug them to my headphones, I couldn't anything even with the volume high up. maybe this guy uses a tape-recorder or something.

Best highs and mids of comparable 2.1 systems
My friend and I went to CompUSA and heard these in person - compared to 5 other systems, including Logitech 2.1 and Klipsch 2.1 Promedia.The compUSA comparison just switches the same feed from product to product so you can really hear the difference in speakers back-to-back.

Amazing sound and portability
These are clearly amazing speakers for the price and size.Like anything, there are always some drawbacks.They sound best when positioned close to your ears and are playing at a comfortable volume level.Directly behind your head is the ideal position.

You won't get booming base from this travel/mini speaker, but it does produce good, quality sound at low to moderate volume.Even higher volume is decent, but lacks depth in the low ranges.Tends to distort quickly when much bass is added to the mix.Battery life (2 AA) is very reasonable.I use it with a Creative Zen Micro mp3 player as an alternative to the PlayDock station when I don't want a huge load to carry around.

Ralph Nader would labeled these "unsafe at any speed".
Do not buy these speakers at any price. Don't even bother accepting them as a gift. You will be disappointed.OK they sound alright until you turn up the volume, then they feedback regardless of how they are positioned. It must be an internal design flaw because I have seen two sets of these now and they both do the same thing regardless of weather they are connected to a laptop or not.Also, the volume control is tapered and too smooth to get a hold of so you will be frustrated when you try to turn it just to find your fingers slipping around a stationary control knob. I almost threw them across the room. Other than that they are great.

nice, if you can stand the buzz
For the size and power level, these speakers sound quite nice.But it seems as though they are not properly shielded.They produce a constant soft 60 Hz buzz that is rather annoying in a quiet environment.When my new speakers arrived I thought they were defective and exchanged them for another pair.But alas, the defect seems to be in design rather than manufacture since the replacement pair buzzes as well.If I were in an environment with some ambient noise, like an office, I might not be bothered.But in my quiet home study the buzz is quite irritating.

Best sounding computer speakers!
I hooked these puppies up to my computer and they rock.I have a serious audiophile stereo system and these sound nearly as good at one tenth the cost.Good bass and treble controls, sound is great even played softly, and really kick turned up loud.The only thing I am going to change is get longer wires so I can get better separation.Use them with anything that has a headphone jack for great sound.

Simply the best.
Use them in combination with an AirPort Express Base Station and you can kiss all the wireless speakers on the market good bye. Tons of power and great sound quality.

Pretty Decent
For the price it is a pretty good product.The speakers got loud enough to hear the music from anywhere in my place and the sound quality was good enough that I didn't hear any static.

These have to be the worst speakers created. Computer speakers...
I bought those speakers to match my new computer and they're great! It's easy to use them and they're pretty loud.They might not be as loud, but I can hear them even if I'm downstairs. (My room is upstairs).The speakers look good and it's easy to install. They also have tone controller, so you can choose to listen to your music however you want to.

I've had better
I thought that these speakers would be worth the money. Believe me I get better performance out of cheaper ones. When I first got these they sounded great. The bass levels were perfect. It was the perfect pair of speakers for my desktop. Then after awhile the power/volume button started to short out. Whenever I needed to adjust the volume or turn in on/off I'd hear a static sound coming through. Then one day the left speaker just shut off. So I checked them with my mp3 player. Same problem. So if you want to spend money on something that'll last don't get these get the cheaper ones by creative. Those little 2 watt speakers are perfect.

I was expecting more, but I'll keep them.
I was looking for a 2.0 setup in the $50 range and settled on these based on some of the other reviews here. After listening to them now for a little while, I have to say, I'm a lttle dissappointed. The first thing I listened to on these speakers was the latest Ricky Gervais Podcast and it sounded fine. So for speech, these speakers are perfectly adequate. I then started listening to music through iTunes (AAC 320), and that is when I started to become dissappointed. I wasn't expecting much in the bass department (and there isn't much), and this isn't where my gripe with these speakers lie. The problem I have found, is that these speakers sound really "tinny" in the high/mid frequency range when you start playing them loud. Snare drums and other high frequencies really start to break up and sound horrible. At low volume levels they sound good, and for my purpose, which is to have some low volume tunes playing in the backround when I work, they are adequate. But, if you are looking for speakers that sound good at higher volume levels, definitely look elswhere. ... Read more

Great & Cheap!
These speakers are completely amazing!They can get real loud, without that annoying static sound or rumbling most speakers do from the vibrations.Its wires are long enough to reach outlets far away, so you can put it where you want to.Plus, their sleek design compliments anywhere you put it.I strongly reccomend these speakers to any body looking for a pair.

I bought these speakers for my emac, as an upgrade to the two built in speakers.They are in fact much worse than the built in speakers.They are about as loud, which mind you, is pretty low.In terms of bass, I could not imagine worse speakers.I'm not really sure how creative could even sell these for the price I paid (35).Anyway, just really dont buy them, there guaranteed to be worse than whatever speakers you are currently using. ...
