irecommendbuying the roady
I installed the roady in my car a few days ago.my wife has a xm radio in her new vehile so i was some what familiar with the xm radio.the only reason i didn't give theroady 5 stars was that the signal to the indash radio is poor.on the front of my in dash stereo there is a aux. input which i plugged my roady into and the roady plays crystal clear, however this connected is not mentioned in the roady instruction manual.i have three vehicles and all three have an aux. input on the front of the cd player that i plug my mp3 player into.xm radio was running a special and i got the unit and the car kit for 40.00.all in all the roady is awesome.
Below Average Sound Using FM Wireless Signal; Also, cancelling service is a joke
This review is more about my several month's experience with XM satellite radio and the not-so-good quality using the wireless FM frequencies through our car's radios. I live in Los Angeles.
Great XM Receiver
I guess 'early adopter' from Denver is one of those that can't do a little research or bother to read the manual.Installing the antenna OUTSIDE the car - what a concept!Where did EA think the antenna would go?You do need to have a 'clear view off the sky' for best reception (the antenna has to 'see' the satellite). For example, don't expect to sit in the car in your garage/basement and listen to the radio. You CAN select direct channels (unlike mentioned by EA).If you want to go from channel 100 to 200, you just enter 200 with the number keys.It does take a second or two for the radio to switch, unlike conventional radio, but that's a minor annoyance.Take the dash out to install? - I don't want EA doing any work around my house. This receiver is VERY easy to install.Just mount it somewhere on the dash - I used velcro - run the power cord from a 12V source, run/mount the antenna, and you're done.(Come on EA, do you work for a 'terrrestial' radio station losing market share to satellite radio?)EA is correct in that the built-in FM 're-transmitter' is not that great.I use the cassette adapter and play it through my built-in cassette deck.Luckily my car has one, and the fidelity is very good.

Phone tools 4.0 made my cool phone even cooler
Well the first thing I did was make sure my phone was supported by the program(in my case V3c)Once I saw that it was I ordered it up and in 5 days it was in my mail box!!!I couldn't be happier with the ringtone maker!!!You can take any part of a song or wav file and make it into ringtone...NO MORE PAYING RINGSTER EVER!!!!!On top of it all the price is more than right because my local phone place is selling the same product for $30.Over all if your phone is supported GET THIS PRODUCT!!!!
4.0 Phonetools CD
WE have a RAZR V3m and this does not work with it.We have downloaded all the updates available and it will not work with our phone.Very disappointing. It looks like a great product if it would work for the RAZR V3m.
4.0 Phonetools
The software is OK.Not quite what I'd hoped for.But I don't think I can complain.Certainly the price was right!

Great Product
I love the Garmin Forerunner. It's one of the best little equipment I've bought for my marathon training.I'd feel blind if I didn't have it on.Makes running myself all the more interesting.I highly recommend any runner to run w/ this little gezmo.
A great product that works well.
Overall this is a great product that works well and does exactly what it should. The only real drawbacks are what others have mentioned already. The serial interface is a pain, but for a few dollars you can buy a cable on ebay that will convert serial to USB, so that's not a huge deal. The other thing is the reception. It is not bad, but definitely not great. In addition when you are going at a decent pace and then make a sharp corner, your info is way off for a few seconds while the unit realizes that you are not still moving in the same direction.I'm not sure if Garmin has fixed this with the new Forerunners, but this can be a pain sometimes when you turn a corner and suddenly the unit shows that you are barely moving!
Garmin 201 review
Great piece of equipment.I use it to pace my basic training unit at Fort Benning while on foot marches and during runs.I recently used it on a foot march during a pretty heavy thunderstorm.Being out in the middle of nowhere with heavy cloud cover didn't seem to faze it much.A bit slower loading in its location with the satellites, but it still worked.During this march, it was soaked in water and sweat. It also got a taste of some mud when our evac. vehicle got stuck on a dirt trail. However, I wasn't able to manipulate the "custom" pace alarm within my specified time.It only allowed me a 10-minute gap instead of a preferred 2-or-3-minute gap.The battery provides a pretty decent charge and the settings are otherwise easy to manipulate.

Great camera but only ONE issue....
I will not repeat what other reviews have stated already, all the reviews below are pretty much correct with this camera being a high quality and easy to use etc etc.

This Camera Has A WIDE ANGLE Lens
If you are interested in portable digital point and shoot cameras, since Canon discontinued the Power Shot S-80, this one is one of THREE digital point and shoot cameras on the market that I know of that have a "true" WIDE ANGLE lens of 28mm! (The other is: The Canon Power Shot SD800 IS for [...]----and another one is Kodak EasyShare V570 which has a 23mm lens and sells for about [...])
Great wide-angle lens and 16:9 format in a stylish, pocketable camera
I love this camera. I originally bought it for my wife but I've been using it more than she has. The wide-angle lens is great and I value it much more than a big zoom. It's great for close-up shots, group photos, and landscapes. The 16:9 format is great for landscapes, sunsets, etc. The display is clear and bright but a little slow.
PERFECT!!!Have fun with movies and wide angle lens!
So first, this camera does show very noticeable noise in low light/ high iso.

GUYS, I'm finally giving up the fight.wimpy iPod it is.
I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for a non-Apple mp3 player with a central-navigation-button that CLICKS.CLICKS!Got CLICK?CLICKING is for MEN who either own a hog (NYSE: HOG), or wish they led a life where they didn't look stupid owning a fat motorcyle (those of you in suits or with military officer hair). The popular and fairy trend of all mp3 players, both iPods and those thoughtless companies which produce devices modelled after iPods, is to use the sensual button technology, requiring you to pet, feel-up, stroke, caress, massage, soothe, tickle, and finger-blast the front panel of your music player.I cannot stand those buttons, and if you have any testosterone running thru your delicate fingers, you shouldn't either. If you feel comfortable with these new age strokey buttons, you should also have no problem proudly displaying a pink mp3 player for your homees, or a dildaically-themed device. These fingerpuff buttons on the iPod, et all, are squirrely, hard to use, they overshoot, and I feel like a white collar hand-model pansy using them.Frankly, even if those buttons worked, they still take forever to scroll thru menus. The Toshiba Gigabeat S, however, not only has the cross-bar navigation button with a strong masculine clickable button that really puts hair on your chest, but also is built on top of a Windows platform that's a dream in terms of user friendliness.Throw away the instruction book as far as navigating the device, it's that easy.THEN throw away the Toshiba Gigabeat S.Yeah, you heard me right.Send the Toshiba Gigabeat S back to where you bought it for a full refund, cuz everything else about it STINKS ON ICE.
Seems great so far...
I can't really give a review yet on the battery performance or say much on all the features as I have only had this 1 day so far, but I like what I see so far... I should mention that I bought the Black 60 GB model...
Best Portable Video Player
I am a man who loves both individuality and simplicity. When the iPod became the biggest portable mp3 player, I sought out to find a great alternative that could hold several gigs and not give any of my money to Apple. My friend found out about the Creative Zen, which is a great mp3 player as well. But both the Zen and the iPod were so overstuffed with useless gadgetry that I just felt overwhelmed. My gigabeat was both simple and sufficient; and that is why I found it to be the best mp3 player for its price.

Impossible Fit
I guess these were designed for a certain type of ear.I've worn all sorts of buds and sport headphones and wanted to try Sennheiser because of their reputation for quality.Well, I just can't get these to fit well.
Comfortable, great fit - best I've found
I run an hour a day in all weather.I've tried over 20 brands and styles of earphones for running. These are the most comfortable, most stable fit I've found. In winter, simple ear buds with a hat to keep them in place are good, otherwise these are waterproof and the best I've found. Sound is good too. They come with a clip, convenient case and three alternatives for fit.I just ordered a second set.
Not great, but the best I've found so far for running
It must be impossible to make headphones for suitable for running that 1) Stay in place without bouncing or making rude noises in your ear canal; 2) Allow some intrusion of outside sound like traffic or someone yelling and 3) Sound decent. I've been through about eight different designs and there's always some compromise among these three requirements. The OMX70's are very comfortable and don't block all exterior sound, but they just don't sound that great. The bass response is poor, even with the "bass booster" EQ turned on on the iPod. They're also not very efficient as I have to crank the volume all the way up when running.

Sandisk 2GB
I just cam from Las Vegas and the sandisk has a disk error that doesn't allow for more photos after only using 40mb. I have tried to format the disk using the camera and through Windows XP. It doesn't allow it to be formatted. Bad investment!!! Would not recommend the product unless there is a way I can get a refund or an exchange.
Good for Canon a95
Fantastic, take all the videos and pictures you want with the best quality.
Is It Worth Buying
I have been using 3 - 128mb, 1 -256mb, and 1 -8mb card with my 2.1 megapixel camera. That got me about 648 photos which has been great for vacations, etc. With the purchase of a new 7 megapixel camera, I found that my photo storage dropped to about 202 photos which was definitely not enough. With the 2gb card, I can take a minimum of 650 photos without changing cards. With my existing cards, that totals at about 850 photos. That number goes up if I use my macro or supermacro settings (they drop the image size to the medium setting).I have had no problems with any of my compact flash cards (all of them being sandisk), all have worked consistently and without issue.

Editorial Review Anyone who has installed a speaker system knows the worst part is figuring out how to hide the unsightly speaker cables, especially if your speakers are located across the room from the receiver. Enter this pair of Acoustic Research stereo speakers, which resolves the dilemma by eliminating speaker wires altogether. The system's powerful transmitter broadcasts its 900 MHz signal through walls, floors, ceilings, and other obstacles, giving listeners a wide array of installation options. Looking for a pair of high-quality speakers for the upstairs bedroom? No problem. Want to enjoy your favorite tunes in the basement without running speaker wire through the floor? Easy. Thanks to the system's 300-foot range, almost any home speaker scenario is possible, including positioning the speakers outdoors so you can provide the soundtrack for your neighborhood block party. And fortunately for listeners, the wireless setup doesn't compromise the quality of the audio, as the rich signal is drift- and static-free. Read more

great!
i was skeptical when i ordered these because of all the conflicting opinions.i have to say that they are GREAT.10 minutes out of the box i had my itunes playing all over my apartment.i live on a busy street in manhattan so i was worried about interference but the sound is very clear.i love them!!
Does a decent job with one minor tweak
I've used these for 6 months now and they've performed fine given the usual constraints of walls and distance.
