Clean, elegant, graceful and powerful.
The Titanium G4 PowerBooks are in their final state of evolution.Rumor has it that the new version will be radically different in design.As such, I would take advantage of this final incarnation of the Ti Book because it has gone through all of the refinements and fine tuning that has put it at the top of the game.Sure, the newer model will have more bells and whistles -- but keep in mind that it will also have a lot of things needed to be tweaked and adjusted.The Ti Book has had several generations of refinement and is now perfect, solid and reliable.Remember, a computer is only as good as the work you do on it and this Ti Book has a long pedegree to back it up and years of refinement that have brought it to its optimal (and final) version!Buy it before it is gone.It's quite simply the ultimate computing machine!

Apple did it again
I currently own an iMac G3 (500-MHz) and I've been checking out what Apple had to offer for the portable line. I'm a Mac user so there was no debate as to what type of computer to buy, but the real question was: iBook or PowerBook?

I got to play with this 15" beauty just yesterday. My brother is using one from his job. Well, I found that the performance of the laptop was very good. Applications ran nicely and the ATi graphics card is quite fast with games and iTunes visualizer mode. My iPod worked perfectly (of course) and I was able to transfer large files very easily. I like that this notebook uses an ATi card instead of a NVIDIA card because ATi cards are more efficient with portables but are still the fastest. I wish it had DDR-SDRAM instead of PC-133.I would have given it 5 out of 5 stars but some things bothered me...

Overall
I'm happy to have used both the iBook and PowerBooks now. The iBooks are great but they're becoming more obsolete since more intense programs require a G4 chip. But for the basics, the iBook is perfect. The PowerBooks are definitely powerful notebooks (even if the clockspeed is 1 GHz) but the only drawback is the battery life. Since I'm a college student, I need something powerful but portable. I think the 12" PowerBook is the best buy but the 15" and 17" are still incredible pieces of technology.

The greatest laptop ever with the best OS.
I love this powerbook.It is without a doubt the handiest computer that I've ever used.The wide ratio display makes it easy to have multiple coding windows open while the convenient brightness controls allow me to work easily in changing light conditions.The mute button is handy whenever the phone rings.

But that's just the start of the story.The really beauty of this laptop is that it runs OS X.Mac OS X represents the pinnacle of evolution in operating systems.The highly intuitive environment lets a user get their work done without having to really think about the computer.It is more or less a seamless interaction. A good first Camera.
I am an aspiring photographer.I received this camera as a gift and I like it quite a bit.I've outgrown the camera and am upgrading to the Canon EOS 20D.However, I highly reccommend this camera to beginners.It takes AMAZING landscape photographs.It's light, durable and fun.This would be a good camera for families, as well.I think it's the best camera for beginners.

Some of its downfalls are:
- You cant take on the spot pictures.It takes a second to capture the image.My dog is notorious for turning his head just as I hit the button.Henceforth, this makes it a bad camera for action shots.
- I do photography of a local band and this camera is not very good for photographing indoors in low light.
- The video funtion is pretty much useless, as the sound quality is horrible.
- The lens cap pops right off.

I've had no problems otherwise and have had the camera for almost 2 years.Again, I think this is a great camera.I tried to upload my photography on here, but after spending all the time choosing them, writing captions and such, it had problems and didn't upload them.I'd be happy to share some of them with anyone.I have quite a few that I've made no adjustments to, so you can see how good the quality is.Just drop me an email on here.

great pictures
I had 3 digital cameras, that was the first one. I had also casio z40 and kodak ls743. I would never get rid of 4330, but I could not stand battery life.. I had 4 2000mah and I had to charge them all the time.. the other thing was size of this camera , kinda big, and that cover/cap..
But the pictures was incerdibly good, colors were natural, super pix in low light.. I hope I find similar quality camera with diferent kind of battery .

Problem cured at no cost
I am very happy with this camera, or was until it began to go wrong, working for a short time then turning itself off just as I was about to take a picture despite using new batteries.

Having been warned that repairs would cost a fortune, I was all ready to buy a new camera. However a very charming young man in the camera shop cleaned up the contacts for me at no charge and now it works perfectly again. I purchase the easyshare dock 3000/4000 series because i have a dx3215 camera,and the dock was missing the universal insert which helps stablize the camera while charging. I notified the seller and he claimed that it did not come with the dock, However the quick guide and the box stated that it contained the universal insert. How could it with a part missing? the Insert is used to charge the battery. The custom insert that came with my camera was damaged. That's why i ordered the dock so that I could charge my battery. I still can't charge my battery because the camera falls to the side when it is placed on the dock because it has no support.

Great!
I've had this printer for a lot of time. It's really cool and really econimal because no matter the cartriges are almost empty it will print like if the cartriges were new.

Waste of money
Good looking printer. After warranty expired it's the only one positive thing I can tell about it. It doesn't work properly, prints have no straight vertical lines, some strange noises are coming from it, no way of printing photos. It visited service twice. I had a DJ690c in the past and after 5 years of use the only thing to replace was one small thing in paper feeder. DJ5550 is a piece of junk.

Died after warranty expired
I previously had a 722c HP Printer that worked like a miracle. It lasted forever. Actually it still works, but it just got too slow so I bought the 5550. It worked great initially, but just shortly after 1 year, it went nuts. All its lights would flash and nothing was working properly. So now its just sitting there in my room. Its pretty disappointing since I expected all HPs to be of the same quality as the 722c. Too bad. ... Read more

GREAT PRODUCT...
I have an RCA cable modem with RCN as my ISP.A great service which I highly recommend. I recently bought the Linksys G-Router after getting my hp laptop needing to setup wireless at home.I got it to work with no problem but then I experienced bandwidth loss and constant connectivity issues.I wrongly thought that it was the router.Fool that I was! After countless attempts at recycling the modem and WPA keys etc., I finally figured out that the modem could not support the wireless router and it had a short, plus RCA no longer carried it and the thing was ugly, taking up space.I've since gotten the Linksys Modem (BEFCMU10) and stacked it with the WRT54G router and it works fantastic!!!Be sure to call your ISP with the modem's MAC address to get online.YOU WON'T get connected otherwise. My ISP had me up and running within 5 minutes.Also some ISP's give you a discount if you supply your own modem.Check it out.

Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't
It sounds like some customers have had really good Linksys router experiences.I haven't.So I have come to conclude that sometimes these routers work great, sometimes they completely fail.I've spent hours dealing with Linksys' customer support and my ISP trying to get my router to work.My iBook AirPort and Windows 2000 /USB wireless adapter both found the router easily.But the router was not able to hook up with my ISP.Both computers get a good wired static IP connection to the internet.I tried using Linkksys' customer support by phone, email, web and chat and kept getting advice that did not work and www.linksys.com pages that didn't work.A software engineer, I'm reasonably tech-savvy so I usually have success with half-decent tech support.They never once suggested that their router might be malfunctioning.One of my ISP's support representatives said that he's had a run of some 40 calls from Linksys customers with this kind of problem.Apparently I got one of these duds.

I'd say Linksys has big problems with quality control and customer support.With many good alternatives out there I don't think it's worth rolling the dice with Linksys.I gave it two stars, rather than one, because it sounds like the good ones work really great and I imagine the duds a in the minority.For what it's worth, the guy from my ISP said he's had good experiences with NetGear routers.

Hi, I'm very happy with this Linksys Router. It took me only 10 seconds to surf in the web. Believe it or not!!!. I just plug in the Ethernet cable from my DSL Modem into the Router conection. I turn on my Gateway Laptop and....surprise!!! I was already conected to the web!!!.
No configuration needed, no CD running, no nothing!!!

Easy to Use But Short Lifespan
Yes, this router is easy to use, setup and does exactly what you would expect.However, it's disposable.Expect to buy another one within a 2-3 years.After just over 2 years, mine died (it only came with a 1 year warrenty).While it still works, I have to reset it by unplugging it and then plugging it back in several times a day (like 10-20).Then you have to wait about a minute for all the computers to deal with the reset.This sort of disposable lifespan seems pretty par for the course for Linksys consumer products.

Linksys does great for the home
I'm running a Dell box with Windows 98 and a Gateway with Windows 95.

I did quite a bit of research on different units and even considered the D-Link, etc.But upon my limited knowledge of the Linksys rep. and a friend's input, I purchased the BEFSR41.

I brought it home and installed everything.I had it configured and up in running in a matter of minutes on my Windows 98 box.It's super easy and user friendly to install and set-up.It also kept my network up and going as well.And..It seems plenty secure.

If you're looking for a great entry level router, this would be the one I'd recommend for the home user and maybe evne the small business user.You really do not need to know a lot about networks to utilize it.

The only real complaints I have is that I have to click the "Connect" button twice on the Status > Router screen when I'm connecting to the Internet; and even though it seems I can usually connect to my network, both machines do not appear/display in my Network Neighborhood all the time.But in fairness this could just be some issue between the 2 machines.

I purchased this unit as part of my multi-layer approach to computer security. While there are many other brands that I could have purchased the fact that 99% of routers that my clients are using are Linksys models this alone speaks volumes. Disappointed
I have always purchased Linksys in the past, routers, switches & hubs with absolutly no trouble. I read all the reviews here, some good, some bad. I took the advice of some who said not to use the setup CD and to download straight from the web. Another said to setup the router and not let your "know it all" 19 year old set up the laptop adapter first, among many others. Well, I set up the wireless router WRT54GS but could not get a clean install of the software drivers not even from the web. Finally I got it to install and work. It worked fine as a router with a Ethernet (wired) connection to my laptop. Then the fun started when I tried to install the Laptop Adapter WPC54G. I can't begin to explain the hours and pain that was spent. No matter what I did or how I did it, the adapter was active and appeared to be ok BUT it would not communicate withe Router. I tried every configuration I could. And, Yes, I called Linksys. Even at 3AM they are there to help you .... RIGHT! I called them 3 times, was on the phone for almost an hour each time and GOT NO WHERE. It might have been faster if the people spoke english as a first language!. Bottom line, Linksys said there must be something wrong with either the adapter or router, or both and left me hanging. THANKS. I bought both pieces back to the store and returned them. Would have liked to exchanged them for another Linksys set but, the experience was very very BAD. I purchased the D-Link DI-624 108Mbps G Wireless router and the D-Link DWL-G650 108G Laptop adapter. In 20 minutes I was up and Running. Lesson Learned? ... If you buy Linksys or anyone else, and it does work out of the box (if you followed instructions), consider it dead and don't waste anymore of your time trying and trying to make it work!

Strong Connection and good range.
This wireless network adapter is durable and provides a great connection with relatively little configuration.I have installed this card in IBM T30 and A20 models as well as HP notebooks. I had a dlink card on my last computer that had less than half the range it claimed. The instalation was simple and intuitive enough for the technologicaly challenged could get wifi connection easily.I have yet to find an incompatible network.

This card isnt the cheapest (but its not the most expensive) but the price is worth the durability and knowledge that you are connected with a quality product.

WPC54G v2 & AES
After purchasing the WPC54G v2, I was disappointed to notice that it evidently doesn't support AES. I'm using the Linksys Network Monitor v2.1 (also tried Funk Odyssey), and driver v6.0.0.18.
Linksys' website has the product data sheet for this card, which lists security as: WEP, AES, TKIP, 802.1x. The user guide, that came with the card, as well as the user guide posted to the website, speaks about AES as a selection. And the Network Monitor application, prompts you to choose, "from either TKIP or AES," only that AES is not listed in the drop down list.
From my reading posts, it appears that v2 doesn't support AES, while some other WPC54G versions do. The problem is that Linksys makes it very unlikely that you'll realize this before purchasing the card. Between their website, userguide, software, as well as all their retail channel partners listing AES as a supported protocol, you're destined to purchase the card and be disappointed once you attempt to configure AES.
After contacting Linksys, this is the clarification I received, "...AES is supported with the previous version which is WPC54G Version 1. There is no driver yet for the version 2 wireless-g adapter that supports AES as on the moment. Keep posted from the website for any updates with regards to the device. This doesn't really manage expectations, though, and leaves it likely that others may potentially experience the same confusion. ... Read more

POS Scanner
This scanner will sacan for you once there will be about a 2% chance that the image is not covered with lines.after that windows will pop up and say that the USB device is not regonized and youll have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers.

Maybe I got a lemon
I purchased this unit a little over a year ago and have only used it about 3 times but now it doesn't work right at all.Maybe from lack of use?

I like Canon products in general(I have their i950 printer, a Canon camcorder, & a Canon copier), however this scanner should have lasted longer so I'm not satisfied with it and would probably pick a different brand next time.

Great scanner at a GREAT price
I love my scanner. I got it last Christmas and have been using it non-stop without any problems ever since. I did have a little trouble hooking it up at first, but it turned out that I wasn't reading the directions as well as I should have been. So that was my fault, not theres. Excellent monitor
I've had this monitor for several years and never had a problem with it. I've got no dead pixels, and the speakers still work like a charm. I've used it for Doom 3 and Farcry and was impressed. There is more ghosting than you'd find on a CRT, but I only noticed that when I put the two of them side by side. It's an incredible monitor, and if I ever have to get another I'll get a Sony.

Great monitor!
I bought this monitor from Office Depot through Amazon.com and am very pleased with it. I read a lot of other reviews about LCDs having dead pixels on them, and was a bit concerned before ordering, but I am pleased to say that I only found 1 dead pixel. This monitor rotates both vertically and horizontally and looks and functions great. Color and resolution are very good also.
