Terrible!
The battery life makes this camera nearly useless. Most times we wanted to use the camera, we needed to switch out batteries first. It would be cheaper to get a better camera and save the money on electricity or batteries. There is also a long delay from the time you push the button until the time the picture is taken, so you can forget about catching kids at the right moment. To make it even more difficult, what you see in the view finder is not neccessarily what is in the picture. Many heads have been cut off in pictures from this camera. I just bought a Kodak digital camera to replace this, and it is fantastic; none of these problems. I don't have anything good to say about this camera. I got it when it first came out a few years ago, so it wasn't even cheap at the time.

HP Makes Lousy Cameras and Won't Support Them
Our HP camera started taking pictures like the one at:http://67.168.53.83/dfranksweb/files/photo.jpg.HP support is in a foreign country, and they keep wanting to provide suggestions for improving the image.I'm sorry, but this camera is broke.There is no improving the image.Replace the thing already and move on."But have you tried holding it still?""Maybe the flash is off?"If they would just look at the pictures it takes, it would be fairly obvious."Is the lens cap on?" NOT WORTH THE BOX IT CAME IN *******************************
i paid over 100.00 for this camera new. if i had the chance to buy another one brand new for 10.00 i would pass it up. this is the biggest piece of junk i ever seen in my life. to call customer service its 2.50 a minute with a 10 minute minimum billed to your phone bill. shame on hewlett packard. i will NEVERbuy another hewlett packard product. ... Neat little unit
For the price, size and quality its more novelty than serious printer, but its a good sort of novelty.

Pictures are small, but are on par with any other polaroid style camera. Good for scrapbooking, or checking images off LCD for digicams etc.

I bought mine in the hope it'd work with my P800 cell phones infrared, it didn't. Works fine with my nikon coolpix though.

The manual in mine says shoulderstrap included, however on the box it says it isn't,and it wasn't, not really a big deal though.

Haven't had a chance to see how easy it is to pickup film yet, but given its compatible with the joycam it should be reasonable easy.

The interface is ok, its a little terse but once you see where they were going its perfectly acceptable.

Prints come out fast, take a little while to appear.

initially look awesome. but it fades over time.
love the compactness and stylish look of this printer.
initial quality of the print out is comparable to regular photo prints or perhaps even better. compact flash drive built in is absolutely convinient.

However...after putting print picture on my friz door for 2 month. skin tone color has changed to completely green and other colors faded to dark purple. it wasn't exposed to direct sunlight neither. other pictures all suffered discoloration after 2 month. even the ones that were kept well in a frame. it was all printed on premiere papers that came with the printer.

is this the limitation of inkjet technology everyone already aknowledged prior to purchasing? or am I the only one suffering from discolorization and fade?

Produces great pictures, but be careful about handling them
The picture quality is supreme, and no complaints about the printer overall, except for the ink door, which won't stay shut.

The photopaper used on this printer, however, can be easily damaged, so care must be taken on handling it after your pictures are printed.Perhaps I'll find a 3rd party paper, or HP will improve theirs.

Great Printer
I've this printer for about 4 months now. I love it. I also have an HP880c for our regular everyday printing. We also use that printer for pictures, but the clarity and ease of use is nothing compared to the HP PhotoSmart 100.At my cousins baptism we printed pictures from 3 different digital camera's (Canon, Sony, and Fuji). Everyone was impressed with the ease of use, how quick it printed and how good the pictures look.

It only prints wallet, 3x5 and 4x6 pictures, however, we really don't print many 5x7's or larger. If we do I just use our other printer.

If you have a digital camera this is a great printer to go along with it. Shop around and you can find a great price too. ... Read more
