5-0 out of 5 stars Great productivity enhancer
This keyboard has changed the way I use my iPaq.I've always used it for maintaining my calendar and task lists, but for most other things is was a used mainly for reference/read only.Any data entry intensive tasks were done either on my desktop and synced up, or through Pocket-Controller so I could use my desktop's keyboard.

With the slim keyboard I now use my iPaq for a lot more document creation.More notes.More to-dos.More emails, which can be sent the next time I sync up.Writing presentations with Pocket Slides is actually fun, now, and so is working with Word and Excel.Meetings have never been so productive.

I've tried cheaper keyboards and full-screen touch keyboards but they never worked well for me.In stark contrast this unit feels great, works great and I can even drop it into the cradle and sync up without having to remove the keyboard!

1-0 out of 5 stars Incomplete product description
This item was listed as a recommended accessory purchase when I was ordering an iPAQ 5555.When the product arrived, the package clearly states that it is for the iPAQ 3600 series. This information was not provided prior to purchase. The iPAQ 5555 has a recessed, spring-loaded stylus that is a different size and design. This product doesn't even come close to fitting. It may be a cheap purchase, but this is clearly outweighed by the hastle of returning it because it is for a different model PCC.

1-0 out of 5 stars WARNING: NOT FOR IPAQ 1945
Although this item is listed as an accessory for the IPAQ 1945, it does not fit that model. It is only for the H3600 series. Don't buy it if you have a 1900 series! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Got me there when I needed to be there.
Right on accuracy.Ostia software has it's ups and downs but all the GPS units take some getting used to.The biggest issue is how to enter your destination. Ex.North Seneca St. or N. Seneca St. or Seneca St, N.Eventually you figure it out.No problem w/the blue tooth and my HP IPAQ 4705 works well with it but at times when restarting you may have to do a soft reboot. For approx. $300 you can't go wrong.Make sure you get the new Ostia Software version 7.The updates should be worth it.I especially like the auto re-route if you miss the right turn.It really does get you there within 3 meters.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great GPS - Lousy Map software
I have used both this bluetooth model and the older cabled one with my iPaqs (3600, 3800, and 5555). The bluetooth model works like a charm with my 5555. I have never lost connection between the iPaq and the GPS, However the software (mapping program) is without a doubt a piece of junk. I have talked with a Pharos tech and he aqreed that is not very user friendly. It is like they finished making the GPS device and then said oh oh we need a mapping program and just threw one togeather.

Definitly buy this device but wait for MS Streets and Trips next version which is suppose to support Turn by Turn voice commands on the PocketPC's. (heck they might even package the pharos with the software. Hint Hint. Nudge Nudge). ... Read more

    Editorial Review

With this convenient automobile charger, you'll never have another minute of downtime. Use your iPAQ Pocket PC while it is charging or leave it off to charge the battery even faster, just like your cell phone. One end of the auto adapter plugs into your iPAQ Pocket PC and the other end plugs into your car's cigarette lighter.

This Universal Auto Adapter is compatible with Compaq iPAQ 3100, 3600, 3700, and 3800 Pocket PCs. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars When you need it, its there in the car to do its thing.
When the battery runs down while in the car ... I listen to mp3s as my car radio doesn't work and the music is better with ear phones anyway ... you are just stuck with a dead iPAC until you can get it to the cradle ... unless you have this really useful charger stored in the glove compartment.Just plug one end into the cigarette lighter and the other end to the iPAC and you are back in business again, whether listening to music or just needing the iPAC fully charged for that important appointment.A great accessory!

5-0 out of 5 stars Dont leave home without it.
The batteries fizzle on the ipaq pretty quick. You'll need
this to keep a fresh charge.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice.
This product is a very handy thing to have in the car when you are a PPC owner. I use it for my iPaq and am very happy with it. It charges the battery quickly and is easy to use. Thanks Compaq! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Its just the same carger as comes with the cradle.
As the titel says, this appears to be exactly the same charger that comes with the cradle. The reason for only one star is, like the cradle adapter, the end where it plugs into the iPAC is two pieces. The end of the cord is terminated with the round plug that will plug into the Cradle. That then plugs into an adapter which actually plugs into the bottom of the iPAC.What this does when all hooked up is produce this huge "thing" attached to the bottom of the iPAC.

I bought the AC Adaptor so I can read in bed at night, using Microsoft Reader, without running the battery down.Having this huge charger attachment sticking out the bottom of the iPAC is a real bother and agrivation, as it alters the "feel" of the iPAC and just generally makes me mad.I only use it when I have to, when the battery goes too far down from reading a particularly long time and I want to keep reading.Otherwise, it just collects dust.On top of it all, it isn't necessary and you can save yourself some money, as one can just use the AC adaptor for the Cradle as it is identical in every way to this item.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very handy product, picture shown is old
There's nothing wrong with this adapter.Period.(Except the packaging is a little hard to open- well, maybe really hard).
The picture shown in the description is not what this looks like- the adapter to plug it in directly to the handheld can come off if you want to use a cradle or keyboard to charge your handheld.I bought an Ipaq 5455 and it's the same adapter that came with it.Very handy to have for any PocketPC owner. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Lemonade anyone?
This unit just died on me within three months. The chargerworks (I bought it separately) but I cannot hotsync anymore - what's the point of having a iPAQ that does not sync? It's either the connector to the cradle or the connector to the base of the handheld that's not connecting. For the high $$$ that I had to pay for this flimsy product, it's really a pity that HP will not provide a good product. It's poor design makes the iPAQ rock back and forth without a firm connection.

5-0 out of 5 stars What is promised
The cradle is a good buy, it holds the iPaq upright while charging and synch'ing it.It is true that the plug is not included but me advice is to get a travel plug from eBay and use the original with this unit.It works great, no problems.By the way, the cradle on eBay is going for [$$]so this is actually cheaper.

1-0 out of 5 stars cradle for 1910
I gave this one star bcs it does NOT charge your unit, as one would expect. This cradle is just a display holder.

To charge your unit, there are four ways:

1.Buy a charging cradle, which is an extra cost (no universal one to fit several PDAs, just one for the 1910, according to hp tech support; I couldn't get an answer as to whether an other hp PDA would also fit the 1910 but I think I read this somewhere on a customer review site). This is the most expensive option.

2.Use the sync cable.Run it btw the USB port on your desktop and the USB port on the unit, hooking tog. as tho you are going to sync. This is the easiest option.
3.Get your cell phone A/C adaptor.Plug into the wall.Plug the male part of the A/C adaptor into hp's 1910 adaptor and plug the other end of hp's 1910 adaptor into the USB of your desktop. This requires purchase of the 1910 adaptor. Amazon has it for $....$... elsewhere.
    4.Buy a 2nd battery.

Some people buy two charging cradles (one for home, one for work) and others just carry around the sync cable.

1-0 out of 5 stars FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT BUY IPAQS!
Product is overpriced for its chintzy characteristics. Looks really nice, but as they say,"looks can be deceiving".I bet 90 percent of the iPaqs out there that have been purchased from 2003 through the present date are either completely useless or are in some need of repair and 99 percent of those broken are most likely not the fault of the purchaser.Hp/Compaq has a HUGE problem with screens (as you can read from the other hundreds of negative postings on Amazon alone).Mine was very well taken care of and lasted about as long as everyone else's has (5-6 months).I even purchased the extended warranty plan, in which you have no way of proving that you did not drop the unit. SOL! My suggestion: file a complaint with your local attorney general. That'll scare HP! (oh wait, they dont care because they are overseas in another country).

3-0 out of 5 stars Love the unit but super fragile.
When I started using the HP1945 it was the ultimate timesaver for me, especially the Outlook Contacts. I loved the design and the way it worked. After one week of use, the screen cracked just from being in my shirt pocket, and the unit was useless. I was lucky and able to return it as defective to the store I bought it from, and get a refund. I will be searching for a similar, but sturdier PDA.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good if no problems, terrible customer service
I bought my IPAQ 1945 in Feb of 2004 and after six months of great use the screen started flickering.I sent it in and was told that "You have spilled water on it and it will cost $190 to replace the screen."(a rude way to put it even if true). I knew it was not true but apparently had no recourse.Either pay up or do without. Now after going six month's without a PDA I'm getting ready to buy another and I just can't make myself get another HP. ...
