5-0 out of 5 stars Very Handy
My Clie is indispensible for my work.Sony batteries have been unreliable in the past. This portable charger gives me reassurance that I won't be stuck at work with a low battery.I've used it twice, and it worked flawlessly.I highly recommend this accessory for people have their cradle at home, spend long periods away and heavily use their Clie.

4-0 out of 5 stars Oh No!! Low on Power!
Sony's T-665C is an awesome PDA! Downside? So many cool things to do with it that you are liable to run low on power away from homebase sooner or later... (usually at the worst possible time!)

With this product this is no longer an issue. AA batteries are available everywhere. I think it is a bit over priced, but the first time it saves your [tail], you won't feel so bad springing for it!

5-0 out of 5 stars works great!
This helps me when I am in class and I am typing and typing and do not have time in between classes to charge my Clié. I'd recommend it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Mac OS X 10.2+ driver found!
The missing driver that makes this piece of work, well, work on Mac OS X 10.2.+ can be found here:
http://www.sakarhelp.com/support/select.php?step=3&category_id=2&subcategory_id=8&product_id=60446

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing! Works with eTrex GPS, Street Atlas 6 and Mac OS X
Switching over to Mac OS X (10.2) from OS 9 was fearful because I thought there was no GPS supported mapping application in OS X.

Well, to my complete surprise, with the eTrex GPS connected to the iConcepts USB-Serial adapter, Street Atlas 6.0 running in Classic mode found the GPS and is more stable than in OS 9.2.2!
I am not sure which driver is being used - the native OS X driver or the OS 9 Extension - I am guessing it is the OS X (10.2) native driver since I have extensions turned off for Classic.

The adapter is smaller in profile than others and is much cheaper - so buy a couple.

4-0 out of 5 stars Works fine in Mac OS X 10.2.x
Once you get the latest driver from the sakar web site (go to the support section), you'll be fine for mac os x 10.2.x.

the version of the driver that came in the package was too old (version 1.0.3), but the version 1.0.6 driver from the support web site made it work like a champ. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars what do u expect???
Standard Styli...
the black and purple ones look cool.
White looks staid

3-0 out of 5 stars They're ok
Buy them just if you need them... I bought them because I lost the one that came with the Clié and since it brings 3 of them... you actually don't need them all.

The colors are not the best thing, I preffered the silver one that came with the Clié, now I use the black one and have the other 2 at home.

3-0 out of 5 stars Wish you could pick your colors and one was loose
A stylus is a stylus, but it would be nice if you could pick the colors you get.I think they have a silver/white, black/black, and black/blue or something; you either get one of each or a random set, not clear to me.Personally, I have one color I prefer, and wish I could just get 3 of those.

Also, one of these was looser than the others, and it kept flying out of my Clie when I opened it.I'm sure there's some odd trick to fixing this, but I haven't bothered to look it up. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Look elsewhere to protect your screen
First off, I feel screen protectors are a must for PDAs.This screen protector just doesn't do a good job when compared to other alternatives.Does it even protect screens?Sure, but with some faults: 1) Only one protector is included. 2) Too thick. It's not a film like other brands, but a stiff sheet of plastic that feels awkward to write on. 3) It gets scratched! This does not make the protector reuseable.
In the past, I've used the Fellows brand, but opted for this because of the price.Again, it's not worth it.When I'm through with this screen protector because of all the streaks and whirls on it, I'm going back to Fellows.
--Just my observations and humble opinion. : )

4-0 out of 5 stars Good protection for the screen
It protetcs the screen and hardly affect its visibility. For me, it was a bit difficult to put it properly, I'm not skilled with this kind of stuff though.
It worth, I'm even going to buy another for me.

3-0 out of 5 stars Dust protector...
The major danger to your screen is not the stylus; the stylus has a rather smooth tip.No, the danger comes from airborne particles that can come to rest on your screen. When the stylus is dragged over a relatively small particle, it acts like a sand-paper wand.Once you have a little scratch on your screen, it becomes a safe haven for more dust.Every time your stylus drags over the little dust repository, it scoops out a grain or two, digging longer and further trenches into your screen.

The sony screen protector may not be the best on the market, but it does fit the screen, and it does the job.

I installed mine while riding on the bus, it went on fine - no bubbles, no worries.Three stars because it is too expensive, and there is no 2.5 star rating. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Comfortable keys, but no "Home" or "End" keys
The keyboard weighs about the same as the Clie itself.Opens easily and the keys are comfortable to type in.

I only have 2 complaints:
- There're no keys for "Home" or "End".I guess it may not be possible to do this on a PDA, but it would have made navigating through a doc a bit easier.
- The keyboard cannot hook up to an adapter, which means the PDA's battery may run out in the middle of typing, though this seems unlikely.

Still, the complaints are minor, so I rate this as 4 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Make your handheld a laptop replacement
This keyb is great. With this, and Documents To Go, the handheld is a great laptop replacement handling most wordprocessing and simple spreadsheet applications with ease. The keyb is small, light, and comfortable. The cool factor is very high the way it opens up. And, yes, you do get second glances when sitting in the coffee shop and writing your latest novel. Works really well with the Sony PDAs with 16 Mb ram in them... makes it convenient to store all those documents. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Does not work wtih Palm OS 5
The add should be clearer.I had High hopes on using this camera with my new Sony PEG TG-50 but after installing it, getting errors & going through 2 round of questions with Sony support I was told that the camera does not work with the Palm OS 5.A real disappointment for those who bought the TG-50 or are thinking about upgrading to the newest Palm OS. ... Sony PEGA-GC10 Game Controller for PEG-NX, NR, T, SJ, SL Series

4-0 out of 5 stars A must-have if you play action-arcade games on your Clie.
Those of you who've played plenty of action/arcade style games on a PDA knows that the PDA buttons simply do not cut it when trying to weave your fighter plane through an onslaught of bullets or trying to make your way through a Super Mario style platformer. What's even worse is that PDA buttons are not built to take the kind of button-abuse that often comes from playing those games and can get worn out fairly quick.

I wanted to play games on my PDA without breaking the buttons so with that in mind, I decided on getting a Clie SJ33 and the GC10.The controller works very well.I've only run across a couple games that does not work well or don't work at all with the game controller and both of them work better (gameplay-wise) with the stylus control. The GC10 is a necessity if you have a Gameboy emulator on your Clie.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase.

The extra battery drain was not as big an issue as reviews from other sights led me to believe. It does drain slightly faster but only very slight and usually when it does drain quickly, it's because you're playing a game that uses a lot of power to begin with (games with lots of action) and because you're using a game controller, you're probably playing it longer too.

The extra strap is almost useless. The instructions say it's to prevent the controller from accidentally falling from PDA but the controller's grip is so good it's much more likely you'll drop the PDA before dropping the controller. The strap is useful for dangling your controller from your belt or backpack so that you can have easy access if you get the urge to play.

I have yet to find a game that supports the X/Y buttons. The instructions says they're "programmable" but I have yet to find a way to get them to work with any game. Not that big a deal since most games don't use that many buttons but it is wasted potential.

The GC10 includes a copy of Columns and some game demos. The Columns gameplay is spot on and gives you something to use the controller with right out of the box. It'll definitely give you the good feeling of using a real game control rather than the cumbersome PDA buttons. :D

Pros: Gamepad button layout, very sturdy, extra buttons for menus and going back to the main PDA screen, hold switch, securely grips your PDA so it's very unlikely to fall off, comes with free game Columns (and it's high-res!).
Cons: Does not work with all games, slightly faster battery drain, cannot charge & use controller at same time, X & Y buttons are useless, does not fit all Clies.

2-0 out of 5 stars Good item but causes conflicts
I got this item cheap because I really like the game columns, but once you install the game controller it causes conflicts with your Hot Sync function. I tried several times and this kept occurring. Sorry. Unless you just play a lot of games on your handheld it just isn't worth the hassle of having to reinstall your cradle drivers after you have used the controller. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Speed & Simplicity
My PEG-SJ22 came with one cord that has two different attachments, one for battery charges and the other for hot-sync to a USB port. It's clumsy and it would be easy to lose the SMALL connecting parts. I couldn't leave it hooked up in one place, because I would soon need it for the other.
Now I can have the UC60K cradle plugged in to an outlet on my surge protector and to a USB port on the back of my PC tower.I simply set the SJ22 in the cradle (which takes up about two inches of desktop space) and it's instantly charging up.I push one button, and I'm getting my hot-sync instantaneously. It's terrrrrific!! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Lost all memory!
My father and I both got this PDA for Christmas last year. After around a month, his lost everything. It was sent to be fixed, but after another month, it lost its memory again! By this time, mine also was losing its files. Both PDAs were sent to be fixed only to still delete memory. The repair man said not to let their batteries run out all the way, but by this time, the life of one charge would only last a day if I was lucky and that was if it hadn't been on. I would try to turn it on the next day and the screen would be blank. Today, I never use it anymore because it simply will not turn on!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellant PDA
Wish it had OS 5 so I could do MP3, but that asside, I have had my SJ22 for over a year and it's wonderful; not a missed beat!!From planning times and fuel for a flight to business, to downloading web stuff from free Avantgo.com, to playing Bridge and Chess, to keeping student records.I love this thing!!!!!!!Battery has great endurance.
My girl friend bought it for $100 after rebate...she thought it wasn't very good but all she could afford....wow, what a find!!!!
I had a Palm 120 and hated it!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love my brain
My Clie is the first PDA I've owned, and I've had it for about 2 months now (I bought it on eBay for a nice, cheap price after using Amazon's rating system to decide which PDA I wanted). It was definitely a good purchase, especially if you're looking for basic PDA use. I keep track of everything in it, and have been much more productive as a result.

It is easy to use, and the screen is clear. Battery life seems to be pretty decent, especially when the backlight is not turned up too high. Even on low backlighting the screen is easy to see.

I have downloaded a few programs to it, as well as some books/Bibles. Once you figure out the downloading system, everything flows together pretty smoothly.

I bought a keyboard to go with it. That didn't turn out too well. Amazon matched the wrong keyboard to this Clie, so be careful when buying a keyboard. Make sure that the model you're buying (even if it says "for Sony Clie") actually matches the Clie you have. Amazon doesn't always match things correctly. But I'll be buying another one, which will be useful when I go to graduate school this fall.

Overall, I'm extremely pleased with this product. I've had to do a couple of hard resets, but I didn't lose anything at all. I don't know whether that's just "beginner's luck" or what. Anyway, this Clie has become my brain. I know where to be and when because of this thing, and I love my brain. ... Read more
