I thought this would work great for me.It's roomy and soft.I also have the same problem of my iPac comming on while in this case and then I have no power when I want to use it and any new information is lost.

Battery warning!
I don'tknow if it is a quirk of my PocketPC or of the case, but my unit apparently turns itself on spontaneously.Maybe something in the case presses the power button, or maybe my unit is crazy, but I just lost EVERYTHING that was in my PocketPC because some engineer decided they didn't actually want to engineer a product. ... too little info provided to order
I received this battery pack, only to find out that it requires the Expansion Pack Plus to work.Nothing in the write-ups indicated this.Now I have a battery pack with no place to connect it.Now ... I have to figure out how to return it ... sigh.

Not a good deal is you have battery problems
I bought this battery pack in hopes of extending the life of my Compaq Ipaq 3635.The battery now holds a charge for less that a minutes, and dies.I received this battery pack, only to find out that it requires the Expansion Pack Plus to work.That means, it cost nearly $150 to replace a poor battery, if you include the cost of the Expansion Pack Plus, plus a slimline battery.

Unless you own the Expansion Pack Plus, don't buy this.Either change PDAs, or get a do-it-yourself install kit for the internal battery on the IPAQ. ... Read more

Useful Add-on
I've been very satisfied with this keyboard, although I almost didn't get it after reading the reviews.Thankfully, I got it anyway!I'm a touch-typist with large hands, and I've been able to use it without having to look down very often.My fingers are able to get around to the keys well, but as another reviewer mentioned, some keys are in different places, like a notebook computer.

The unit folds down very compactly, which makes it easy to slip into a pocket or just tote along with the iPAQ.

My co-workers who also have iPAQs are very jealous of my keyboard, especially when I type in business cards or take notes in meetings.Highly recommended!

Space Bar Correction
Initially when I bought this product I had experienced the same space bar issue I read about later.I liked everything else about it.I was within warranty so I returned it for another, and this one works perfect.I like it much better than the infrared models and its extremely handy for meetings. HP gave me excellent service on this as well.

Never enough!
It is great to have a few of these stylus pens around.Invariably I will put one down and it will not resurface for a day or so.Now I can continue what I am doing simply by reaching for one from my handy supply and when the "other one" resurfaces it can be placed with the others who so paitiently await their turn for duty.

Exact replacements for the one that came with the iPAC
What else can one say about a stylus other than as indicated by the title?It's hard to imagine how one would break the origional stylus, but if one does, it would be really great to have a spare handy to replace it.

When you need it, its there in the car to do its thing.
When the battery runs down while in the car ... I listen to mp3s as my car radio doesn't work and the music is better with ear phones anyway ... you are just stuck with a dead iPAC until you can get it to the cradle ... unless you have this really useful charger stored in the glove compartment.Just plug one end into the cigarette lighter and the other end to the iPAC and you are back in business again, whether listening to music or just needing the iPAC fully charged for that important appointment.A great accessory!

Dont leave home without it.
The batteries fizzle on the ipaq pretty quick. You'll need
this to keep a fresh charge.

An unqualified product
I am going to return this item. I was even inclided to mark the product as defective when choosing the return reasons. This product is really bad at:

1) The GPS continues to lose signal. Even if I have updated the GPS firmware accordingly to the company's website. In many open places, it took more than 3-5 minutes to get a satellite fix and then it lost soon.

2) I am in New Jersey, however, the address of my doctor can't be found in the map.

3) Most amazingly, the car cigratte ligher adaptor cannot be fit into the GPS backpack. After contacting the NAVMAN support, the guy asked me to buy another IPAQ accessary separately. I just wonder, had they tried it before they made this product?

4) The customer support of NAVMAN is really bad. I sent email to them and wait for almst a week and couldn't get a response. Calling their phone get me an answer, though the guy was not very patient.

1)DUMB software: keep tell me to "perform illegal U-turn" when I am on i-5 going from SF to LA. It won't re-route until midpoint on I5

2)Exit: most of the time it will not tell you where to exit from the highway, no street name, no exit# (it will only say "exit in 1500 feet"). So if there's multiple exits (especially in LA!) within couple hundred feet, it will get very confused and make the user confused too! 99% of the time the user will end up getting out on the wrong exit!

3)when the highway splits, it won't know which highway it's on if you chose the middle lane. or, it thinks you are on the highway when it's really on the service road.

4)frequent reboot/freeze up.

5)it will take non-necessary shortcut, get people lost

6)won't let you choose the route. Stubborn piece of junk.

my wife doesn't want to use it, my friends who had used it don't trust it. makes me look like an idiot.

Good...only when it works
In general, this is kind of a "you've got what you paid for" result. I tried a NAVMAN ICN630 (with no battery and no touch screen) before I purchased this so the comments are mainly based on my comparison of the two.

The major issues I had with this unit are:

1) Poor signal reception -- the ICN 630 can be placed at almost any place in the car and still with a good enough reception, which is not the case for the 3450 sleeve. I'm thinking about getting an external antenna and see if it'll help since I prefer to mount it at the dash board near the radio.

2) Unstable software -- sometime the application got stuck right at the "agreement" page after the splash screen and it frequently requires resetting. Sometimes it shuts the unit off for no reason.

3) Slow map,re-routing and position update -- Well, it could be my iPaq 3870 that is too slow


However, the $142 price tag is pretty attractive and the user interface was pretty neat (such as the 3D navigation), once you overcome the awkwardness and get used to it. Be able to use stylus to enter the address is another plus. The voice guide is audible at the max setting when there is no radio or music. Battery consumption is hefty, so it's not really practical to be used as a handheld unit without attaching to a power source. It comes with maps that cover the full U.S. and Canada. Software installation involves too many steps and user inputs. Map installation is extremely slow but fortunately you only need to to it once if you have a large enough memory card. sounds like good features but lots of problems
I bought this product 2 years back. But frankly speaking I haven't used all of its features. within a few days of buying the battery was losing power for no reason at all and the customer support replaced a new battery. But later the unit started resetting on its own. during this process none of the other buttons are functional and it is a forced reset losing all the information. Now since i am out of warranty i am expected to get it repaired for a fee. we will end up spending more than its original price for the maintenance. i never even had the chance to use all of its features till now because of all the reasons. i don't think its worth spending more on the unit.

iPAQ 5455 Review - cool features but poor battery life
The iPAQ 5455 seemlessly integrates with MS Outlook on one computer but has issues with syncing up to a second PC.User selection for data overwrite is limited (handheld overwrite PC or PC overwrite handheld data).Overall features are really neat, some stuff included is kinda useless for the average electronics gizmo but the battery life is horrible.If you're planning to go out of town for a couple of days, you'll need a charger (get 2 - one for the rental car and one for the hotel room).Extended life battery is recommended as is an extended service plan if one is offered to you at time of purchase.I had to have mine sent back and 2 other people in my office also had to during their first few weeks of use.The convenience offered by the available features outweighs the annoyances of losing data due to the battery dying.

Good Value/Powerful Pocket PC
These guys who are palm lovers just have a hard time switching to the Pocket PC!I am a switcher.The transition was tough at first back a couple of years ago.The Palm OS is surely faster and more user friendly but has much less to offer.This IPAQ is a powerful one and the screen quality, handwritting recognition and wifi options are unmatched by any Palm device.I have not found much use yet for the Bluetooth and the security features are good but I don't know that I need them.Still, what a great tool for word processing, spreadsheets, web surfing and more.Lighten up Palm boy! ...
