1-0 out of 5 stars forget about the rebate amount
product works great. but i never recieved the rebate amount. Whatever product you will buy from Netgear, you will never get the rebate amount.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worked better than internal 54g card
This card works great and I haven't had any problems with it in spite of abusing it.However, the price seems a little high. You can buy newer models and even 802.11g cards for less.

I have used this card on 2 laptops.I used it on a work laptop that I used for travel, and then gave it to my daughter for her laptop, which she abuses. There is even a dent in the metal case.I was worried because about a quarter of the card sticks out from the laptop (for the antenna).

It came right up on both my computers, and I don't think I even needed to use the installation disc (maybe I did, I can't remember, but if I did, it was so easy that I forgot about it). Both my laptops have Windows XP.

The signal is very good.It is much better than the factory installed card that came with a Compaq computer. It is about the same as the internal card I have on an IBM laptop.

Note that with a router and this card, I am not able to get a good connection everywhere in my house.I blame that on the router and not the card. There are only so many walls 802.11 technology can penetrate. To get wireless connection to a remote bedroom, I bought a Buffalo router and repeater kit.It works great, when it works (the router had to be sent back to be fixed.)

Note that I have researched wireless networking systems, and they don't seem to be very reliable, especially wireless routers.I had both a Netgear and Buffalo wireless routers where the radio portion went out. These cards are probably more reliable.

If all you need this for is the internet, 802.11b is sufficient, because DSL or cable modems are not any faster. If you want to send video data between computers then you should go with 802.11g.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for OTHER operating systems and older laptops
The Netgear MA401 802.11b Wireless PC Card is great for Windows 95, NT, Linux and Macintosh operating systems. The reason is that there are no other wireless cards that I know of that have DRIVERS for the wireless card to operate with the other operating systems. Newer Netgear products will not work.

The MA401 has a 16 bit PCMCIA interface is great for some older laptops that will not support a newer 32 bit cardbus interface.

This is in addition to the fact the MA401 is built well and has very good signal strenght. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Don'twaste your money with this mouse
We bought 5 of this model for our company executives, and all of them stop working well after 4 month.

3-0 out of 5 stars Better Design than Feel
This mouse offers a lot of reasons to buy: It is cordless, optical, travel-sized, attractive, and works on virtually any smooth surface. Setup and calibration is a straightforward process. It even has a feature that turns the LED intensity from high to low when it doesn't detect motion for a second or two.

All of these features, however, are outweighed by the fact that it is somewhat uncomfortable to use, at least for this righty with larger than usual hands.

The first issue relates to the design, which is steeply raked toward the front corners. While this gives the mouse a sleek, aerodynamic appearance, your index finger wants something to rest on, not slide off. People with smaller hands probably will not notice this "here we go" effect as much.

The second issue relates to the buttons. With mice as with steering wheels, a bit of feedback is a good thing. However, the left mouse button requires distinctly higher than usual effort. An occasional clicker will adapt without complaint, but if you are clicking up a storm, you may find your hand tiring sooner. For some reason the right button is lower-effort; lefties should consider this a 3 1/4 star review.

5-0 out of 5 stars desktop features, notebook portability
i bought this mouse a few months back and it has been great to say the least. the receiver picks up your every movement precisely, it is a sturdy very well made mouse (have dropped it twice already on tile floor). the battery life is great, thanks to the auto-shutoff feature it has. Of course you also get the on/off switch. the case it comes with is also very high quality (although i use it to store my ipod, not the mouse). logitech is a great, reliable company and they have come through once again with this mouse. by the way i did try out the microsoft equivalent and not only did it feel very cheap, but it did not pick up my movement quite as nicely as the logitech. would definitely recommend! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars WORST LAPTOP LIGHT
i have three reasons for my thinking. they are simple and quick so here it goes: it falls of my laptop very easily, it is not very attractive at all and it is bulky and in the way.

    hope this review helps

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good small light
I bought mine a year ago through the Amazon. I like it very much. It is very good to work in bed, not to disturb my wife while she is sleeping. It works using the USB port from Toshiba notebook. I recommend

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this gadget: It's solid, reliable and works
Once I went to broadband wireless networking, computing in bed or out on the porch was a natural. But, I'm not a touch typist and couldn't see the keyboard. The Flylight was the perfect solution. It casts a bright, cool light where I need it.Ample to see the keys but not enough to annoy my sleeping spouse. What still amazes me is how solid and well-engineered it is for as little as it costs. The gooseneck is long enough to reach my rear USB ports and snake around a very large screen while staying where I put it.I don't miss an on/off switch because it's the kind of thing you pull out when you're done with it anyway.Personally, I'd be leery of anything that clips onto the top of my screen, for fear it may cause a problem when I close my laptop.

Because it is solidly constructed, I just coil it up tight and throw it into my case when I travel.Mine's as good as new, even after more than a year of rough handling.Kudos to Kensington on this one. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Err...
I was hoping that by getting this I'd get a decent flow of air and i'd be able to use it anywayer. But I was sorely dissappointed. It doesn't give much air and all the air you get you need to be close to feel... plus its too loud to use in most places...

If you really need it, you can get it... but I can't use mine often because like I said its too loud. Not worth it, not enough air flowing.

5-0 out of 5 stars This thing rocks
I don't know what that other guy was talking about with it overheating and whatnought. I've not had any problems with it. It's probably the sweetest geek gadget around! It complements my iBook very well. Very cool.

1-0 out of 5 stars FlyFan motor stops when hot
I purchased two fans after I thought the first one broke after it stopped working.Shortly after I plugged in the second one, it stopped working also.I went to the Kensington site and searched for a technical support reason. They state at their web site that the fan will "stall" if its motor gets hot and you might need to reboot the computer to get it working again. Even rebooting the computer doesn't get the fan working again 9 times out of 10.I believe that having a fan stall when it is hot and allowing this to be an acceptable design charaacteristic is ridiculous.Isn't the point of having a fan to increase air flow and cool ?Now the owner of two defectively designed fans, I am very negative on this fan and this company for accepting the defect and selling it knowingly. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Good for a laptop
For the price, this hub is a steal.

I've got a Dell laptop, so I've only got 2 USB ports to work with. This device is good for expanding a little bit, but you can't go overboard: the hub isn't powered. So far, I've had no problems with a printer/scanner/copier, optical mouse, and USB memory key all plugged in at the same time.

Just think about what you're jacking into it before you buy it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Linksys USBHUB4C ProConnect Compact USB 4-Port Hub
I recieved the Linksys USBHUB4C ProConnect Compact USB 4-Port Hub exactly when I was told it would arrive. Great and quick service for Amazon.com,and the product was what I was looking for and at a good price too. I would buy from Amazon.com again. They have my business.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
I love this little hub. When I sit at my desk with my laptop, I can connect my printer, usb mouse, scanner, and digital voice recorder cradle in one easy step. I was worried aout not having sufficient power through the usb based on reviews, but this has not been a problem. I have had it around 4 months and it works wonderfully. I've also used it on my desktop to make swapping the above mentioned devices between computers. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent product for the money
Purchased this item to use as a "briefcase" as a claims adjuster. Found the identical item for twice the price at Best Buy but returned it to order online at Amazon. Many pockets provide exceptional storage. Computer case can be removed separately to lighten the load when it's not needed. Carrying handle, back-pack and wheels with handle make it quite versatile no matter the terrain. Highly recommend this to anyone who needs a sturdy product that needs to be mobile.

5-0 out of 5 stars Durable, Roomy, Stylish
This is by far the best notebook backpack I found. My laptop is a 15.5" and its hard to to find a backpack that wasnt HUGE.This doesnt look huge but it has so much room inside it and plenty of space for books, disc, power cords, a mouse, etc.I also think its well made andhas enough padding to protectyour laptop. The zippers are great!!! Really smooth and it never feels like its sticking. Its also a lot easier on your back than one of the messenger style notebook cases! It also comes with a lifetime warrenty if you fill out the card and mail it back (at least mine did...it was inside the bag).

5-0 out of 5 stars One helluva bag
I absolutely love this bag..I use it for my Wide Screen 15.4" Dell Inspiron 8600, which absolutely doesnt fit in any other backpack in the market. This one's a real stud. Though a bit heavy, its one solid unit, and protects the laptop well, with tons of room for your other stuff. I intend to use it mainly for Air travel, and bought it after a lot of research in Circuit city and other stores. ... Read more
