    Editorial Review

Early Adopters Pick: August 2002. The smallest and most lightweight flash card available with fast read/write speeds paired with high-capacity storage; compatible with new lines of Fuji and Olympus digital cameras.

Designed to minimize power consumption, Fuji's xD-Picture Card offers fast read and write capabilities for smoother digital camera operation. Extremely compact, it is about the size of a penny and weighs less than one-tenth of an ounce. The 128 MB capacity card can record data at 3 MBps and offers a read speed of 5 MBps. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Panorama Feature not supported.
If you are interested in Panorama feature which is available in many Olympus digital cameras..make sure you buy "Olympus xD card".
Do not buy Fujifilm or Lexar or other brand.
All Olympus Xd Card covers have BOLD letter stating "Supports Panorama". Make sure you check that before buying a xD-card.

5-0 out of 5 stars I like it
I have a Fuji A205 2M digital camera and this 128M card can contain about 200 1600X1200 pictures. It has been working well for a year. Its size is small compared to other cards (CF, SD...). The only not good thing is that xD card is more expensive.

5-0 out of 5 stars It works, these two words say it all
I have had this XD Picture Card for eight months and it's great. I just put mine in the camera eight months ago and have never taken it out since. When I have about 50 or 60 photos on the camera I just plug into my computer and download them and clear the card. It's as simple as that. The card is fast and speed and reliability do not seem to be affected by temperature or battery power. Just buy it, stick it in the camera and forget about it. You won't regret it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars How many pictures will it store?
How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about.Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The FujiFilm 256MB xD Picture Card, like most 256MB cards, will store on average 284 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 213 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera,128 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 102 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 80 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

1-0 out of 5 stars overpriced, slow
Check web resources. You will find that in all published timing
tests writes to xD cards are slower than writes to the best CF
cards despite xD cards costing 60% more.So forget about buying
xD cards because they are faster; they aren't.

I could find no independent verification that xD cards decrease
battery drain in a digital camera.Even if I were willing to
believe the claim, it is still far cheaper to purchase two or
three extra sets of rechargeable batteries and carry them with
    me.

There is no good reason to buy an xD card.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my needs and more
I bought this card in conjunction with my Fuji S5000 (which I HIGHLY recommend), and for the three months that I've been using them, they have done absolutely EVERYTHING that I could have wanted.I generally take photos at the 2MP (1600x1200) setting, which gives me reasonable photo size/clarity without taking huge amounts of space--each photo is between 550kb and 650kb, which allows me to take 410 at 2MP.I can get 550 on 1 MP, 325 on 3MP, and 173 on 6MP.On RAW 6MP, I can only get 37 though... this is what makes me consider getting a 512 card, or waiting for the upcoming 1GB card Fuji is developing.I've taken thousands of photos in the few months that I've owned this card, and none have been less than perfect as far as the card's impact on them.

The entire line of xD technology is revolutionary and is REALLY great. It has low battery-drain, it's REAL fast, and it's very versatile. Not to mention small--I'm able to have a rather small camera bag (6"h, 5"w, 3"d) partly because I don't have overly large, bulky cards and cases taking up more space than necessary.

Beyond its obvious application of excellent use in digital photos, I've actually used it like a removable mini-drive, similar to my pen-drive.However, as this card is larger than my 128MB jumpdrive, i was able to bring what i needed even when my jumpdrive was full.this is more useful than imaginable.i'm getting a Fujifilm DPC-UD1 xD USB Drive Reader and a second xD card, either 256 or 512MB to use it just like my jumpdrive. Again, this is EXCELLENT technology, and the BEST OPTION for new digitals. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Cartridge At A Great Price
I use this cartridge in an HP DeskJet 5150 printer. The printer always yields crisp, well defined color prints. Unlike some people I think that the cartridge lasts a reasonable amount of time, although I don't print photos very often, which can definitely use ink at a voracious pace.

My biggest criticism of HP cartridges in general is the price, but the price here at Amazon is the best I have found, and I think the Amazon price point, particularly combined with free shipping and no tax makes this cartridge reasonably priced. Having said all that, there is one area where the product could be improved, which is the pronounced tendency of the ink to smear when wet. I realize that this is a not-unusual trait of inkjet printers, but I am more acutely aware of the problem with this printer and ink combination than with most other inkjet printers I have used.

Overall the HP 57 is a good value for the money, particularly if you shop around for good deals.

2-0 out of 5 stars runs out way to fast
I opribnt maybe 40 pictures and it runs out.At twenty six bucaroonies. That's a lot of money/ picture.I found out Costco will print pictures while you wait for Nineteen pennies a fraction of the copst.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
I just bought a new HP PSC 1210 All-in-one, and printed 4x6 photos on the free sample premium plus glossy photo paper, after installing the HP 57 tri color cartridge. The result? Astonishing!! There's no way anyone can tell that the photograph is a computer printout and not developed on kodak paper.

True, developing 4x6 can be as low as a quarter per print at some places, making this scheme uneconomical, but I'd highly recommend this for printing larger photos. (5x7, 8x10). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars If quality counts this one wins
You don't get much choice about which cartridge to use when you purchase a printer. Fortunately my HP Photosmart 7760 printer uses this cartridge. The results are excellent. Okay, the cartridge runs out of ink quickly, but it costs less than other larger cartridges. The printer also advises you that you are running low before the cartridge is empty so you have time to prepare. I keep a few extras around to make sure that I can always finish what I start printing.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I ordered three Canon color cartridges. All arrived quickly and as advertized, were Canon originals. Also, prices were the best online I found. Thank you.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Ink cartridge
The 58 cartridge does not run out of ink as fast as the no. 56 one does. Could HP make a cartridge that does not run out of ink so quickly? I like the printer and it prints great photos from the no. 58 but the black cartridges run out of ink so quickly that it is placing a dent in my wallet. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars pretty good paper
I have an hp photosmart 7150 I have never encountered the Problem with the white dots mainly because it is an older printer and only has round tubelike metal rollers. it works great too and I love how the paper has the line to tear off un like other printers.

2-0 out of 5 stars White dots on HP Premium Paper, Glossy
I also encountered the white dot problem with HP Premium glossy photo paper on my HP PSC 2355 printer.I even changed my printers at Best Buy, thinking that I have a defective printer, but still the same result. The pictures look good, but the white dots are quite annoying. They are virtualy imperceptible on lighter colors, but are glaring on dark colors, especially black.I would not recommend using this paper if you have an HP printer similar to mine (2355, 2175, 1315, 1350, etc.).Premium PLUS paper indeed corrects this problem, but it is almost twice as expensive.(If one looks very intently the white dots are still present even on Premium plus paper, they are just not conspicuous.) Because of this, I am now thinking of returning my HP printer, even thought the overall picture quality, as well as the product reliability, is quite high.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Paper- But not made for your HP printer
This HP paper is good. The 5 megapixel photos that I print from my HP Photosmart 7960 come out very well on this paper except for one thing. The little metal rollers that are inside most HP printers leave little dots that are visible on your photos (more visible with darker pictures). After calling HP about this, they said you need to get Premium PLUS photo paper and that the premium plus paper will correct the problem. If you don't mind having little white dots on your photos, then this paper is amazing. If you do mind then go with the Premium Plus. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Paper for Everyday Photos
I bought a pack of this paper at a local Target and so far I've been pleased with the results. It's so much fun and easy to use. I love the soft gloss finish on both sides. I used this paper with my Canon i320 printer and my pictures turned out quite well. The colors were so clear and vibrant. This paper works really well with outdoor photos. The blues are blue and the greens are really green. The only problem I had was that a person with a darker skintone on an indoor photo will look darker on this paper. It's a possibility it could've been my lighting conditions or my printer. One has to experiment to get the best results. So if your looking for premium photo quality, this is not the paper to use. Try HP Premium Glossy Photo Paper. It's superb. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great photo paper(and there is a fix)
I agree with the other reviewers that this photo paper produces superb photos. I use it on the HP 7960 and the images are outstanding.

And, I have found a workaround (my wife, who spent many years as a film photographer suggested this) for the problem with pictures sticking to glass or photo album plastic covers: use a hair dryer to dry the photo.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Pictures but Major Problem
Like others have said, this paper prints great pictures BUT as soon as you put the printed pictures in a photo album the ink "sticks" to the plastic. This happens especially with darker colors (mostly any black areas in your picture). Considering my wife has black hair and wears a lot of black clothes, this creates some problems and ugly photo albums.

However, I don;t believe this is an issue just with the HP paper as I tried switching to Kodak and experienced the same problem, though not as bad as HP. I will try a fixative spray as others have recommended and see if that works

1-0 out of 5 stars "Disappointment"
Yes the color of the print on this paper was very impressive. The thickness was also nice. Then the problems start. I have let the photos dry for 3 weeks. They still got screwed up when I put them under a glass frame or in a photo album. It is like the ink never really dried. You would think for what they charge HPcould make a gloss paper that works. To top it all of if you get just a tiny bit of moisture on the printed photo the ink wipes off. Save your money and ink! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars HP Premium Photo Paper Matte....
I got this photo paper with my All-In-One 2110 HP copier, scanner, and printer. This paper is the best. The photos look like professional ones. I've bought other matte paper claiming to be great for photos, but they are nothing more than thicker paper and the pictures don't look like photo prints at all. I will never use anything else but this HP paper for my photos. They turn out so great, that I can frame them and hang them on a wall! I highly recommend this paper to anyone who wants quality photos!

5-0 out of 5 stars Finalle a matte photo paper that is actually photo matte!
I have bought several other "quality" matte photo papers that are nothing more but a sheeny paper, stopping short of glossy.Or else just a heavier paper, but not photo like at all. This HP premium PLUS photo paper provides QUALITY matte photos.Like the real thing, only immediate at your own home rather than the store.I used the HP 7550 photo printer and print pictures that are top of the line photo quality.I will never use another paper again for photos. It's definitely worth the extra cost.

1-0 out of 5 stars paper, ink or printer problem?
I've tried just about every HP paper type together with my HP Deskjet 5655 to resolve smearing problems. A4 or Letter sized Premium Photo Paper Glossy or Plus Glossy will smear seriously. If you look at the prints you get a feeling that the color is building up on top of the paper rather than being absorbed by it. You can even feel it. And if you put water on it, you can wipe it practically white clean in 10 seconds. Doesn't matter if you wait 3 minutes or 3 months, result is the same.

However, make the same prints on 4x6in or 10x15cm HP Photo Paper, and they come out perfectly. You can even wash!!! the photos 10 seconds after printing and not a single trace of ink will come off. I blame the paper, but I'm starting to think that the HP printers only use the Photo Ink for small papers and that the regular Ink is used for large papers (I don't see any other pattern in my test results). I've wasted hundereds of dollars trying to get permanent printouts on Letter/A4 sized paper, but so far failed. I'm currently limited to using it for 4x6in printing only.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality and high gloss shine...perfect for picture
FANTASTIC photo quality paper, but sheets stick together as they go through the HP printer.........other than the nusiance of having to reinsert the paper, this product is outstanding!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Major Disappointment.
You can not get better color from your computer printer for pictures then by using Hewlett Packard Glossy Paper.HOWEVER
unless you live in 30% Relative Humidity year round it will wrinkle like a lasagna noodle.Bite the bullet and buy the much more expensive Premium PLUS Photo Paper unless you want to keep your pictures under glass or only show them in the winter. Please note, under glass does not mean in a frame, they will wrinkle there also. ...
