Just an ordinary foam pillow
I should have paid attention to some of the other reviewers' comments.This is not anything at all like the high-end "memory foam" pillows.It's an ordinary foam rubber pillow.If you're looking for an ordinary foam rubber pillow, it may very well be a nice one ... but it wasn't what I was expecting from the description and the photos.

NOT Allergy Free
The manufacturer claims that this pillow is "allergy free," which I assume meant that people with allergies to feathers and down would not have an allergic reaction to this pillow.

The claim is just not true. I tried using the pillow over several nights in a row, and almost immediately had an allergic reaction. If you want allergy free, go with something that doesn't have down or feathers.

Poor Design and Reliability
First of all, I feel badly for anyone who thought that this is an atomic clock.Your skills at reading product information could use a bit of work.For all of the product's flaws, the radio's packaging and promotion material are pretty clear and not at all misleading regarding this feature.

That said, this product stinks:1. The preset time was off by two minutes. 2. The volume control became unreliable after a few months.A small movement of the dial could send the sound level shooting up or unchanged. Even worse, we never knew what volume to expect when it went off in the morning.3. The sound quality is really poor (though not unexpected in this price range). 4. The controls are not at all intuitive.An alarm clock, given that we use is when very sleepy, should be simple and straightforward to operate.

I gave it two stars (rather than one) since aside from the reliability issue, the product would have been minimally acceptable.

We gave up on it after a few months and replaced it with a nice Timex "Sounds of Nature" alarm.So far, no complaints.

Not an "atomic" clock!
I purchased this clock/radio because I believed that I was getting an "atomic" clock due to GE's use of the term "auto time set." An "atomic" clock (or watch) is a clock that sets its time automatically by monitoring the WWVB clock signal transmitted by the NIST atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. In other words, a true "atomic" clock/radio would never need setting, would never need to be adjusted for daylight savings time, and would always display the accurate time.

The GE 74894 clock/radio's "auto time set" is a marketing trick. It's a play on words. GE wants you to think that this is an "atomic" clock but it's not! What you get is a clock that's been pre-set at the factory and stays set using its two installed AA batteries. Plug it in and presto! It's magically set to the correct time. But, if you unplug the clock and remove the batteries it defaults to the flashing "12:00" time and you must manually set the time.

The clock/radio itself seems nice. Lots of nice features like dual-alarm, and a weekend skip for the alarm(s).

Some cons to this clock/radio are that its green LED display is very bright at night (no dimmer) which lights up the room. The snooze button is close to the alarm set switches... one morning while trying to snooze the alarm, I hit the Alarm 2 Set button and activated the second alarm setting. And, the "gentle" alarm mode doesn't work on the wake-to-radio setting.

I rate this clock/radio a "1" because of the deceptive advertising. I would NOT have purchased it if I had known that it was not an "atomic" clock (i.e., I was specifically looking for such a unit.) The use of the words "auto time set" is deceptive and misleading.

Shame on you GE
I too was fooled in thinking that auto-time set meant from the Atomic clock in Boulder Colorado.
It became apparant immediatly because the factory preset the time wrong (and no not because of the time zone switch), they had it :12 minutes past hour when it was actually :22 past hour.
So the very first time I had to set it anyhow. I wanted the atomic feature to insure daily recalibration and accuracy.
Oh well, at least twice a year when I have to make the adjustment for time change I am reminded to never buy a GE product again. ... Read more

Defective out of the box
I bought the "2 fer the price of 1" units.1 for me, 1 for my folks in New England so they can see my daughter via the video phone.Seems like a good deal, right?The 2 pairs arrived to me in the Midwest.I kept one and shipped the other to New England.My folks and I set up our units only to discover their unit is defective and does not power up when plugged in.Great!Terrific!Now my folks have to repack and ship the defective unit to me.I then have to re-repack it and send it with my working unit back to Amazon.By the time we factor in all of the extra postage required for the returns and the forwarding this dual deal is hardly worth it.We are going to try again and I've ordered a replacement pair.I guess I'm a sucker.Is it too much to expect this product to work?Buyer beware.And patient.

Costly repair
I bought two units of the beamer and sent one to my family.Turn out one unit is defective - something wrong with the camera.If I send it back to Vialta for repair, they charge me close to $100 + shipping.I think this is a ridiculous amount, as it is almost enough to get a new one.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!
My parents bought the armoir and the long chest of drawers (which we use for a changing table) when I was pregnant with my son. Both pieces took about 30 mins each to put together and looked great when finished. We went ahead and put braces on the legs because it was going to be in a child's room. The furniture has been moved twice in the last year with no problems! The drawers slide easily and hold a lot more than I expected. We have received several compliments from people that have seen it in our sons room. We will soon brace both pieces to the wall as our son is moving around quite a bit now. We love both pieces and the price is unbeatable!

I've had this armoire for my son for 2 years now and have had no problems.It was purchased before he was born and he is now 2- he opens and closes the drawers and cabinet from time to time and it's still great!

TERRIBLE! You get what you pay for-Junk!
The legs on these Country Lane products are terrible! The day my father put this together, the back leg fell off. They are unsturdy and dangerous. The door on this thing never stays closed. I would not reccomend this product line to anyone. They look nice, but are not roomy enough and not sturdy enough. We ahve this and the chest of drawers- PLEASE use the restraints on these products- the chest came tumbling down and almost crushed my 5 year old. Piece of junk
We live in Europe, where electronics are super-expensive, and I bought this item in a major department store when I was in the States.I was lured in by its low price and original design, and was sold on the 110-220V adaptability.Well, don't be fooled.When I plugged it in and turned it on, sparks flew - LITERALLY.I cannot even get it serviced here, nor can I return it, obviously.

Save your money.

This thing is horrible. My parents bought me this for my room.At first I was excited but eventually became diassapointed.

Too Much Light!
I usually listen to music as a go to sleep, and the only problem is that it generates lots of light.I solve this problem by putting a black pillowcase over it, but then I can't see what song is playing, which is usually alright, except for with new CDs.It also lacks essential features such as shuffling songs, an alarm, and a clock.Overall, it works great, but if you're planning on listening to it in the dark or as an alarm, there are better products out there. ... Outstanding Package
This machine really flys! The 2.53GHz P4 processor combined with 512MB of DDR memory really make this machine scream even with the most demanding video games. The GeForce 4 MX420 graphics card delivers fast, crisp images even during online gaming where I have experienced most of my problems with video jumping on other machines. The sound is crisp and clear and the bundled speakers are really nice. I really like the DVD Burner feature that let's me make movies on DVD that play on my home DVD player. The built-in 6-in-1 memory card reader is a really nice touch and takes both of the memory cards I use with my MP3 player and my digital camera. This makes loading MP3s and downloading images from my camera to my PC a snap. This alone made the machine upgrade worth the money spent. No complaints here... at all!

Great speakers but thats it
Warning do not think that you can capture and share any video with this unit.I purchased this unit thinking I could take my home movies from vhs to dvd Wrong! You will be unable to share any captured video on this unit with any other PC or DVD player due to copyright protection. With that functionality gone the unit is massively overpriced.

Good machine, but it will cost you. . .
The media center PC is quite a cool concept. . . The new windows version is pretty cool too!I do like the computer; but I do not like the fact that there are no open PCI slots. With all the components in the box, there is no real room to expand, only to replace.

The Audigy sound card is exceptional.It is capable of supporting Dolby 5.1 surround sound.The nVidia GeForce MX 420 graphics is not the best, but it isn't bad.I still wish they would start packing them with the TI GeForce cards, they are considerably better. The onboard memory reader is a plus.The only problem is that it only has four of the five current flash-style card slots.It supports Sony Memory Stick, Smart Media, Compact Flash, and Secure Digital.It does not support the new XD memory type used in many Olympus digital cameras.

The unit comes with great speakers.The processor speed is good, P4 2.53 GHz. 512 MB of DDR RAM is a must for today's demanding applications and games.The DVD recorder is cool.The audio/video equipment is awesome.The fact that you can capture television is great.

The HP f70 flat panel monitor is a great compliment to this machine.It is expensive, but a quality piece.This machine as a whole is great.If you are not a fan of assembling your own computer, you will not find a machine with more already on-board capabilities. . .

Trash
This machine is a constant frustration.Out of the box, the software is buggy and has never worked right.Tech support is poor, and they are able to do little more than parrot the instructions that come with the machine.Constantly jams when sending faxes, freezes up when sending large faxes, and has never successfully scanned an item.I operate a small business and thought this machine would cover several bases at once, but have been constantly disappointed.HP should be ashamed for putting this garbage on the market.

Buggy Software
So mom needed help scanning and e-mailing some documents. No problem. Hit the "scan" button on the OfficeJet, and go, right? Wrong. Hitting the button would bring up an HP splash screen on the computer, but it froze there. Lesson learned: the "scan" button on the machine is useless.

Then we went into the "HP Photo # Imaging Gallery" software. It worked for 3 scans, but on the 4th one, it appeared to scan fine, but the document file never showed up in the gallery window.

We tried it with another scanning application, and again it appeared to scan fine, but the software never received the data. No error, nothing.

I tried downloading a "critical update" for the HP software, and it arrived as an executable WinZip file. Unfortunately, it tried to unpack to a directory on C: but the computer in question doesn't have a C: drive, so the WinZip self-extractor said "Drive c is not a valid drive, unzip operation canceled" and exited.

Anyway, I then noticed the link that lets HP analyze your system for needed upgrades, but it found that the driver for the OfficeJet was up-to-date.

My HP Scanjet also 3300C has funny drivers. They don't like it when I disconnect power to the scanner before "disconnecting" the scanner in Windows. I think it used to crash Windows, before I upgraded the drivers. Now it merely complains. But it shouldn't complain at all!

Also, my uncle tried getting the fax part to work, but he hit an unresolvable problem (I don't remember what it was).

At work, we also use a different model of OfficeJet for faxing. That has problems feeding paper, and it just doesn't work as well as the Brother machine that sits beside it.

From now on, I can't recommend any HP device with a scanner, due to the poor quality of the drivers. But to be honest to myself and HP, I still like my Deskjet 970CSE. And the OfficeJet 6110 prints fine, which is why I give this 2 stars instead of 1.

I pruchased this unit so I could make copies for Sunday School and do light faxing and scanning.I have to use the unit increasingly for scanning documents into my computer.

say goodbye to the skin on your fingers for assembly...
These look ok (they look inexpensive as well) but I can't say I recommend them for single women, unless you own a powerdrill. Assembly is ridiculous. Those "easy" snap in and screw in parts are not in appropriatly predrilled holes, you will have to hammer them in and get blisters if you try to screw things in without a drill. A CHEAP PIECE OF JUNK!!!
I guess you get what you pay for. My chair fell apart at the seams (literally and figuratively) in 4 days. WOW! Save your money, it is really not worth it.

It DOES hold weight!
After reading the other reviews I am confused.I bought my chair in 2000 (I think) and I am 290 pounds.I love my chair and it has moved with me twice.I used it as a living room chair and now as my bedroom chair.My friend who is at least 200 pounds and loves to fling herself into any piece of my furniture to see if it will survive "hopped" into my Starck chair and it had no problems just as it has never been a problem for me.I recently came to this website since I can no longer find it in my local store and I would like a matching chair (or maybe a couple more).Hopefully quality has not gone down in recent years.

I love this frickin chair

The only thing about it is, when you put the cover on, be sure to get the pole into the little shoulder pad thing inside, otherwise, the poles slowly tear through the canvas.
